Until the Groom comes for His bride we will always have an adversary that wants to destroy our faith so I will keep my armour on until it's time for the marriage.
1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
Some hold fast to the schoolmaster and never leave the first principles behind. The virgins were all bid to come forth to the marriage; The wise virgins awake and trim their lamps and by faith enter into the chambers where they receive a new garment. The foolish virgins run to and fro in their battle armor searching for the word of God, but they shall not find it! Wait as they will and the day shall come when they find the door has been shut.
Matt 25:10-11
And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
Matt 22:2-5
The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,
And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. Again, he sent forth
other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed,
and all things are ready: come unto the marriage. But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:
Matt 22:11-14
And when the king came in to see the guests,
he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: And he saith unto him, Friend,
how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. For many are called, but few are chosen.
Know you not that a helmet, shield, breastplate and sword are garments fitted for battle, but they do not make the attire of a wedding garment?
Rev 3:18-19
Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and
knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich;
and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
