Born Again?

For this discussion I believe we must first follow the words of Jesus in John 3.
“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit.â€

As for the theif on the cross, how do we know that he did get the baptism of the spirit, it doesn't say for sure. But I have to assume so seeing Jesus told him they would be together in paradise.

Finally, that is what Jesus said. What is there to debate about, you cannot take anything out of context or mix up what Jesus clearly commanded and we are to obey.

Thank you for this Scripture it means a lot to me in my walk with Christ. But I have a question. The word "Water" used here in this Scripture, in the original language means wailing, wail, groan, or crying aloud (Strong's # 5092 root of 5091). So my question then is this.. Is Christ's Blood not significant enough to Atone for my sins and those of my family?

I'm only seeking truth in Scripture, and I search and studying every detail that I'm looking for answers in. I do not bring a stick and say you're wrong, after all I'm probably wrong, but in search of truth I need the answer to this question please?

Not sure of the meaning here for water, went and looked at strongs got a different word fo 5092 and 5091, but anyway. I believe the born of water is the act of baptism, which I think is a symbol of publically following Christ.
For the blood of Christ, Hebrews 9;13,14, explains it best.

13 For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled sanctify for the cleansing of the flesh, 14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

If we go back to Adam, God started sacrifice after the fall to cover sins against him, these sacrifices had to be repeated every year, as you see all through to OT.
Now we come to the blood of Christ, it was a one time sacrifice. His blood was good enough to cover the sins of all believers through out time. Therefore ending sacrifices all together.

He is speaking of the Hebrew! and I must say, I have issues with that also! maybe he will explain?
 
I want to apologize I went to the Hebrew word instead of the Greek work found in the new testament. Therefore the explanation sited above please ignore. This was my fault for trying to study, answer while having lunch (do not recommend this to anyone). I pray that any who read this would forgive me for my lack of follow thru today?

The verses about the baptism of John relate to John's disciples, not to the church today.

Zacharias prophesied that Jesus would save His people through the remission of their sins. Mark records the "Begining of the Gospel of Jesus Christ" as John baptizing with water.
