How does scripture say for us to know the truth? The scripture is the truth.
There are many apostles.
...natural birth...water...Spirit.No just two
How does scripture say for us to know the truth?
1 John 4:6
We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error
thks
Jn 3:5 still says born again of both water and the spirit...natural birth...water...Spirit.
I know the natural birth is from water.
The Spiritual rebirth is from God.
You are trying to separate natural from mom's water.
What is the bible?Obeying His Doctrine; teaching
Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. 2 John 1:9
If I were you, I would discard the catechism and read and obey the Bible.
What is the bible?
It is written..."3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.Jn 3:5 still says born again of both water and the spirit
What is there to explain?Try and explain away Jn 3:22
22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.
What is the content cannon of scripture?Scripture; the doctrine of Christ.
The teaching of Christ, our Rabbi, our Teacher.
all one contextIt is written..."3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." (John 3:3,5)
Jesus listed both births.
The original birth is of mom's amniotic fluid-water.
Born again is of the Spirit.
What is there to explain?
At a different time and place, Jesus's disciples baptized folks unto repentance from sin.
You are comparing birth from a mom with baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of past sins.all one context
John prepared the way by “water baptism”! Jn 1
Old Testament prefigures baptism! Jn 2
Jesus says “water baptism” Mk 16:16 Jn 3:5 right away they practice ((Jn 3:5)) and baptized Jn 3:22
Jn 4:1 baptism
