so that isnt news.ok but that doesnt mean we wont die, be poor

theres coming a day where will wont have sorrow.

sheesh, my grandmother died this year and my sins had nothing to do with that, death isnt done away with.

we had member here that was murdered and died and went to heaven. he was killed with bullet to the head and then burned. what sin did he do to deserve that?

cornelius remember him? so long as their sinners on this earth their will be sorrow and also christian who sin.

god is coming to stop that purge the sinners and convert us fully

we are saved from the past, being saved from the power of sin and will be saved from the power death.

the later simply hasnt happened yet.

When we die we pass onto the resurrection. Death is not a bad thing. When you and I die, we will join those that went before us.

We all pass onto the resurrection. What does that have to do with sin?

Sinners will always have sorrow, but we are protected from that when we don’t sin.

My mother died recently. She’s alive and well in the resurrection now, living with those that came before her.

The Lord's discipline can be harsh. It's best we make the effort to stop sinning now rather than to wait.

so perfection is needed! paul died without such level of perfection he made that clear. you choose to ignore. when we think we are so holy and right, god says nope you have to grow more,

you claim that salvation hinges on us. it doesnt it hinges on what he did and what we decided to do with that.

we can leave the lord but dont ever think we can cleanse ourselves from sins.

if so aa would be the most effictive way.

The Lord commanded us to be perfect.

Well, we have all sinned.

I'm sure Paul has become perfect.

Twice today I’ve quoted Paul today saying we must work out our own salvation. Jesus saved us from sins past, but now we must stop sinning.

We can’t cleanse ourselves from sins. Only the Lord can. But what we can do is stop sinning, as the Lord commanded us to do.

Leaving the Lord would be a sin, as the great, and first, commandment is that we are to love him with all our hearts, minds, and souls.

yes i am familiar but paul not christ said and the council of jerusalem in acts says we arent to be under the law.

and that verse speaks of christ in us. his rightoeusness is imputed on us. this doesnt mean we can ingore gods commands but holiness on our parts isnt required.

if so then show me any modern sinless pastor and teacher and lets talk. and you wont find any.

i know men who love the lord and have walked longer then i have been alive and still say i am in need of a saviour,. i sin too much.

It isn’t law. It’s common sense. If you commit certain selfish acts, you will suffer for those acts.

Christ in us? We are to develop a personal relationship with Christ, who is in us:

“Pray constantly.†1 Thess 5:17 RSV

I would like to believe a lot of people have ended sin in their lives.

I would worry little about what men say to me and much about what the Lord says to me.

Decades of experience have taught me to trust in inverse relationship according to how often such claims are made.

paul didnt die sin free,. he is dead and awaiting the ressurection.

his souls in his heaven.but didnt die sin free.

i would like to think..

you best know, and i agree with hitch on that.

We won’t have sorrow as soon as we stop sinning.

And we won't be sinless or end our sorrows until His New Kingdom is established here on earth.

John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.â€

Revelation 21 said:
1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.â€

Jesus is telling us that we will be at peace, even though we will have trouble. In other words, we might be persecuted, but it won’t bother us a bit.

No, we are to stop sinning now:

From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matt 4:17 RSV

You don’t know whether or not Paul stopped sinning before he died.
