EV or ICE

I pray for mankind to get out of this locked mindset and start loving one another instead of destroying others to get what they want or what other wants.

They are so full of control mongering and greed that they would never relent on their own. So these things shall need to come to pass that the Lord has decreed.

I know that the Lord has given them (Blessed them) with free energy for all solutions. But instead of bringing it to the people, they make the people pay exorbitantly for it or weaponize it, or both.

The Hebrews in Egypt had it much better than us.

Hi MayGodHeal
Do you know what it takes to build a battery for a EV?
Yes. About 15¢ worth of lithium and some thin sheet metal or plastic cylinder to house it in. The 4680 battery, which I believe is the latest version that Tesla is working on, but isn't yet in production vehicles, isn't a whole lot different than the D batteries in a flashlight. They generally cost less than 50¢ to make, although I haven't found pricing for the new 4680. They are a bit larger and, therefore, may cost a bit more to make.

These next generation Li-ion batteries will be more efficient and more powerful. To put this in a numerical perspective, that means only about 960 “4680” cells are needed to fill the same space as the 4,416 “2170” cells in the same amount of space, but with added benefits such as a lower cost per kWh production and a significant increase in power using the 4680 cell pack.

BTW do you know what it costs to build a transmission? I won't need one, but you might and so you should be aware of your possible repair costs.

God bless,
Ted

Why is it we keep comparing this to the 1900s? Some people don't want a vehicle that runs off a battery that you gotta plug in. Both internal combustion engine vehicles and electric vehicles do the same thing.

Degrading someone because they choose to stick with something that works for them doesn't sound Christian. You can buy an EV or an ICE. Isn't having options wonderful?
I can say that about public payphones, not everybody can afford another monthly bill, but payphones are gone.

BeyondET I have a phone service that costs only $35 a month. Thats not affordable? What does this have to do with eliminating the choice to buy and drive gas vehicles?

Do you know what it takes to build a battery for a EV? There is no perfect solution to stop polluting the planet other than population control. I don't think people like that idea either.

How about live and let live and allow innovation control how we pollute the planet rather than telling others how to pollute?
EV's is a innovation, sounds like your not following suit.

BeyondET EVs have been around since the dawn of ICE. They're an alternative to gasoline vehicles. Gasoline vehicles are also innovations people rely on.

Steam and ev driven cars go back to the early 1900s.

It's not unreasonable to acknowledge the drawbacks

They have I agree, gas isn't going away anytime soon regardless of what media says even the government.

ICE's are going through a reinnovation, the fuel won't be what is used today. Internal combustion engines will live on. The omega 1 engine is just one example

Above all you can't really predict the future. For all we know something like cold fusion cars will be coming out in 15 years. Gm is investing in building a new ICE engine. They realized that going all in EVs isn't going to work. The market for ICE isn't going away. New types of vehicles will emerge and people should have a choice. Diehard ICE fans should be able to continue to buy and drive ICE.

I think people will still be able to drive a 68 corvette. They might have to make a part or the gas to drive it

Cars need a steady supply of parts as they age. the industry is always changing to what is knew they have to. There's not many factories making old parts

I think trying to force a industry to keep making gas because someone likes ICE is just as not a Christian attitude. If they want to keep driving a model T make the parts and gas yourself.

BeyondET the whole point though is the people behind this push doesn't want you to have a choice. If it was automakers wouldn't be trying to end ICE while the market is still heavily ICE oriented. EV sales are around 5% and that's mainly business fleets. Here's an interesting video I just found..

Not just some people want ICE, over 70% of Americans alone want to keep ICE. The majority of the market is ICE. Not EVs. How are you going to have a sustainable business selling vehicles only 10-25% of your buyers are going for it?

Complete EV will be a phase. I can see engines like the x engine or omega 1 being combined with EV, a hybrid. the technology is getting cheaper. batteries transmission etc.

When I was in my teens I liked the sound of a twin 4 barrel carb 455 big block buick, now it really doesn't bother me what I drive to point A to point B. The cost is important of coarse. EV are just now starting to come down. In 5 years 16k.

That will be the same with ICE cars.
Eventually but not with whatever will be forced to work .of course the horse certainly isn't outlawed and I grew up seeing them on major highways prior to the mid 90s. It wasn't uncommon to find them along indrio and Oslo and rt 60
