Yes. I do counceling already and i also have to go back to the doc next week for review. My councelor kept bringing up my drinking but i kept deny it as the reason, but now i think she is right, so i will admit it next time and we can start to work on it.
That is a personal matter for each and everyone on this board. This whole series of threads has raised my curiosity.
I wonder just how many drugs we all may be on?
I went through about four years of depression. I finally learned to beat it by getting off all the medications they were giving me to combat it.Do you have depression?Did you like the book?Did it help you?
Quite a bit, huh? Yeah, it happens. That is a personal matter for each and everyone on this board.
I have heard of people going off their medications and they are fine.It is not that common.I have also heard of people going off their meds and ending up in the ER or killing someone. It is not a smart move to go off of any medications without your physicians advise.I went through about four years of depression. I finally learned to beat it by getting off all the medications they were gibing me to combat it.
I firmly believe that other than short-term aids (a few weeks), all drugs do is make you need other drugs.
The book helped me through some very serious anger issues... homicidal type thinking, when I felt there was no one I could talk with about it.
Did I say "Quite a bit?" I don't remember saying that.Quite a bit, huh? Yeah, it happens.
Didn't have to.Did I say "Quite a bit?" I don't remember saying that.
Don't put words in my mouth.Didn't have to.
Although I read this book after I quit drinking/using, I think it best describes how to approach the addiction problem. It is called "Overcoming Addiction" the author is Ken Karacsony. What do you think is good to replace it with?. I have a drinking problem. I need help.
It's OK, it's your life, and you get to live it as you feel you have to.Don't put words in my mouth.
I believe there are probably very few people who really need anti-depressants. I got off of them too, but I was never really sure they were working. I just kept taking my doctors word for it, that I needed them. It does have to be a personal decision though.I went through about four years of depression. The problem is that some people have a depression that is not treatable with medication. And then there is some anti-depressants that work for some people and not others. Some doctors have a person on a course of anti depressants for 6 months for the seritonin to be altered. It is very important to get a checkup and have some blood work done because some symptoms of depressions can be a physical cause.A good physician will know that and not just hand you a bottle of anti depressants.I believe there are probably very few people who really need anti-depressants. All they ever did for me was mess me up in other areas of my life.I believe there are probably very few people who really need anti-depressants. If the anti depressants made you worse and you were not getting any benefit from them then you probably did not need them. All they ever did for me was mess me up in other areas of my life.
I would say that the stress/guilt is part of the reason most people quit. The worse thing about drinking is the stress it causes. Im not sure if guilt is the right word but feeling like a total idiot the next day, especially after saying stupid things. The internet is just as bad when you jump on drunk and start posting stupid things feel like a idiot the next day.
Hmmm....if they can quit on their own.I would say that the stress/guilt is part of the reason most people quit.
