Very strange analogy as the patient is passive and we are anything but passive. If a christian sits in a chair reading a magazine patiently for God to painlessly and effortlessly purify him, he’ll wait until death with no change whatsoever.
I will disagree as the point I was making is that we are renewed/purified by the blood of Christ. Just as dialysis cleans and renews the blood in the liver that is internal, so in sense the same thing as we are purified by the blood of Christ internally in our spirit. Both are a cleaning from within process.
1Cor 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
1Cor 1:31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
1John 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
1John 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
1John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
1John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1John 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
