I use the word "flesh" the way it's used in the Bible...
Where in the bible?
The word is used for both the skin and bones of men and for the worldly oriented minds of men.
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Flesh meaning no spirit.
Why do you not capitalize the "S" in Spirit ?
Small "s" indicates man's own spirit, to me.
Even men in Christ, with His Spirit in them, have their own "spirit".
Which is tantamount to "mind".
That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit.
I will walk after the Spirit.
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
Yep.
I can't add anything to verse 5. It says it very clear just the way it's written.
"For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace."
Yep, "mindedness" is crucial for eternal life.
Carnally minded means no spirit.
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
Carnally minded means no Spirit.
So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
In the flesh means no Spirit.
Agreed.
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
You are not in the flesh if you have the Spirit. Now go ahead tell me you are still here in the body of flesh and bone. Go ahead.
I am still here in the skin and bones of the new creature, in Christ.
I am not of the fleshly mindedness of the worldly oriented, unbelievers.
The Spirit needs a vessel from which to manifest God on earth.

The words “HOLY SPIRIT” in the Bible are primarily used in two very different ways: One way is to refer to God Himself and the other is referring to God’s nature that He gives to people. God is holy and is spirit and therefore “the Holy Spirit” with a capital “H” and a capital “S” is one of the many “names” or designations for God. God gives His holy spirit nature to people as a gift and when HOLY SPIRIT is used that way it should be translated as the “holy spirit” with a lowercase “h” and a lowercase “s.” The Bible says there is one God, and one Lord, who is the man Jesus Christ; and one gift of the holy spirit. Most Christians are aware that the original manuscripts of the Bible were written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. However, it's not well known that Hebrew and Aramaic do not have uppercase and lowercase letters, but rather they just have one form for their letters.

Greek does have upper and lower case letters, but the early Greek manuscripts were all written with only uppercase letters. Therefore, the early manuscripts had no such thing as the “Holy Spirit” or the “holy spirit” because what was always written was the "HOLY SPIRIT." The capital or lowercase letters are always a translator’s interpretation whenever we read “Holy Spirit” or“ holy spirit” or “Spirit” or “spirit” in the English Bible. The difference is usually due to the theology of the translator. The bottom line is we cannot know from the Hebrew or Greek texts whether the Author meant the “Holy Spirit” or the “holy spirit” because we must decide based on the context and scope of Scripture whether the reference being made is to God or God’s gift.

I know.
I choose to believe 2 Cor 5:17 instead of them.
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
I choose to believe Rom 6:6 instead of their doctrine.
"Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin."
I choose to believe Col 2:11.
"In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:"

My old body was destroyed, put off, and made new !
So flesh does not always mean the physical body, but our natural abilities in the body to run off of the spirit of satan. Reliance of self

I have went beyond that being an advanced Christian. There's no more choosing for me. I stay close to the spirit of Christ. Very close right up in his face like if I'm right inside him. I wrote about it this way in my book...

"I now spend much of my time right inside the spirit as close as I can get right in their face. The Greek word menō translated "abide" often deals with being in him, which I'm very concerned about when it comes to walking in Christ, which I believe is the same as walking in the spirit. To be in him or to abide in him deals with remaining or continuing to be present. To dwell, live, and be within him to the end that we are operative in him by his divine influence and energy. My first red flag that started me looking into how to do this was when I realized it's the Catholics that teach we are sinners. They teach us to look at ourselves and our sin. I teach that we should look at Christ and to walk in his spirit."
Tell me more about being an advanced Christian , that is a new term for me .

From Romans to third John.
When I ask “where, exactly,” I’m looking for book, chapter, and verse, not a vague reference to almost the entire NT. That is generally what people mean when asking for scriptural support. It’s very important that whatever beliefs we hold that we think are based on the Bible, that there are specific verses we can point to to support those beliefs.

And if you're Catholic it helps me to understand your question.
I don’t see how, but okay.

I see the Holy Spirit as the Holy Ghost.
I will keep capitalizing them.
Man's spirit needs no capitalization.
God's gift to the truly repentant, (Acts 2:38), is the Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit.

You did not receive God who is The Holy Spirit when you got born again. You received His gift which is holy spirit.

You asked a vague question which was where do I get my understanding about the spirit of Christ. The answer is still the entire New Testament. I have been able to put the entire New Testament together and it all makes sense around the spirit of Christ. To save space here's what I looked at in just 2 books...

Acts
ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost
ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you
they were all filled with the Holy Ghost
I will pour out in those days of my Spirit
receive the gift of the Holy Ghost
Then Peter filled with the Holy Ghost
and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost
full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom
Stephen a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost
the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake
being full of the Holy Ghost
that they might receive the Holy Ghost
they received the Holy Ghost
be filled with the Holy Ghost
comfort of the Holy Ghost
the Spirit said unto him
the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word
the Spirit bade me go with them
the Holy Ghost fell on them
full of the Holy Ghost and of faith
Agabus signified by the Spirit
filled with the Holy Ghost
the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Ghost
giving them the Holy Ghost
Paul was pressed in the spirit
instructed in the way of the Lord and being fervent in the spirit
Have ye received the Holy Ghost
the Holy Ghost came on them
Paul purposed in the spirit
bound in the spirit
who said to Paul through the Spirit
were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake
Stephen calling upon God and saying Lord Jesus receive my spirit
while Paul waited for them at Athens his spirit was stirred in him
was instructed in the way of the Lord and being fervent in the spirit

Romans
serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son
love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost
serve in newness of spirit
in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit
they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit
in the Spirit if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you
the Spirit is life because of righteousness
if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you
shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you
if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God they are the sons of God
ye have received the Spirit of adoption
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit that we are the children
ourselves also which have the firstfruits of the Spirit
the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities
the Spirit itself maketh intercession fo rus
he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit
fervent in spirit serving the Lord

The question I asked is specific, not vague. A vague question would be, "Where do you get your understanding of God or Christianity?" To which the answer would be either the Bible or the NT.

You are putting the cart before the horse, as none of them even mention "the Spirit of Christ." On what basis are you assuming what (or who) the Spirit of Christ is? You actually left out part of one of the only verses in the entire NT that actually mentions "the Spirit of Christ." You danced right around it. How can you even use the phrase "spirit of Christ" if you don't even know where to find it in the Bible, which could suggest you don't know that it is in the Bible?

This is very important since you made two serious claims. First you said to someone "I cannot have a conversation with you about walking in the spirit if you think the spirit of Christ is God." Then, when I asked "You don't believe the Spirit of Christ is the Holy Spirit?," you said "I do not believe there's a trinity."

If you're going to discuss the Spirit of Christ, then you must have the biblical understanding of the Spirit of Christ. That means you need to provide verses which actually mention the Spirit of Christ. In searching, we find that there are only two places in the Bible where the Spirit of Christ is mentioned:

Rom 8:9 You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.
Rom 8:10 But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
Rom 8:11 If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. (ESV)

Paul clearly equates the Spirit of Christ with the Spirit of God, who is the Holy Spirit. Your list completely ignored the last half of Rom. 8:9--"Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him."

1Pe 1:10 Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours searched and inquired carefully,
1Pe 1:11 inquiring what person or time the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the subsequent glories. (ESV)

Peter is saying that the Spirit by which the OT prophets prophesied was the Spirit of Christ, yet we know it was by the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit (Num. 11:29; 1 Sam. 10:10; 19:20, 23; 2 Sam. 23:2; Neh. 9:30; etc.) and also:

Mar 12:36 David himself, in the Holy Spirit, declared, “‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand, until I put your enemies under your feet.”’ (ESV)

Act 28:25 And disagreeing among themselves, they departed after Paul had made one statement: “The Holy Spirit was right in saying to your fathers through Isaiah the prophet: (ESV)

Heb 1:1 Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, (ESV)

2Pe 1:21 For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. (ESV)

In both cases--Rom. 8:9 and 1 Pet. 1:11--the only two instances in the entire Bible that mention the Spirit of Christ, the context makes it clear that the Spirit of Christ is the Spirit of God, who is also known as the Holy Spirit.

Now that we know that, we can look at your list and see that it appears that you believe the Spirit of Christ to be the Holy Spirit. The best answer for which is that God is triune.

I know you are a new member but this what you posted below is really not helpful and can best be described as Biblical word salad . There maybe other Christians newer to the faith that will read this and will for certain need the whole verse and what verse it is .

8. As this forum is for serious theological discussion, relevant verses from the Bible and/or other supporting documentation must be given to support one's assertions, especially when asked for by others.

Two things:

1.) I don't write about sinless perfection. I write about no sin in him.
2.) I don't have a white background. I have a black background.
What you write seems to be all about sinless perfection and this body made up of skin, blood and bones no longer exist as it is obliterated, vanished as no one can physically see this body anymore. Flesh in scripture usually means the thoughts of our mind, actions of our hands. Are we Spirit form, or are we Spirit form housed in a living breathing body.

I know you like to evade direct questions, but this one is very important even unto your own soul, so be careful answering this question, What is the law of sin and death?

I do not evade questions since I'm an expert on the New Testament and have no reason to fear questions. When I use the word "flesh" I'm using it like the Bible does which refers to those who are not born again or who are not walking in the spirit. See Romans 8 for the Scripture on this.

Then I cannot answer your question which was what Scripture do I use to believe in the spirit of Christ because I use the entire New Testament. Perhaps you can ask it in a different way. Like for example what's the Bible verse that talks about the new creature. Then I can give you 2 Corinthians 5:17 and that is the spirit of Christ that is refereed to as the new creature.
