If they take care of me, they can have it.
You really don't know about nursing homes ,given the state tracking record .let alone the private ones.

My,wife asked me to,never send her to one. I,will, honor it . my wife worked in them.she saw the abuse .

Besides any state big enough ,can simply, mandate euthanasia to reduce costs on,terminal ill.

I'm not against safety nets but neither do i trust the state to be able to fund them .

Then the US system is not working. This is what happens when special interest groups and bankers make medical care unaffordable.

We should try something different.

Has nothing to do with being unaffordable ,both the vs and free market nursing homes are problematic with patient abuse.

Poor sanitation, assaults ,and neglect .almost like foster care .also problematic

I disagree. Poor sanitation is a direct result of unaffordable prices. The elderly can't afford to pay for decent accommodations and staff that has been vetted to weed out the less than stellar performers. Their dollars just don't buy very much.

You can get deluxe continuing care in Mexico for $2000 per month. The royal family gets deluxe maternity care in Britain at private hospitals that cost less then regular care at US hospitals.

In the USA you pay about $64,000 for a bottle of meds that costs $6 in Europe. The US elderly just can't afford those prices, so they get sent to unsanitary places where some of the staff is questionable. I get that you want to subsidize research, but America's sick and elderly can't afford to do it all by themselves.

The US system does work good for billionaires, and rich radio show talk hosts.

2.https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/ncna1048381
3.acts.my mom and myself worked for them.they got fined up,in the north state ,you, cant even be patient there unless your assets are over 250k
4. My county has a fossil to child ratio of 4 to 1. We have a few here.three or more did I go to tell please pay your power bills.all at one time had fines ,abuse
Money?tell me how only, the wealthy aren't being abused ,neglected .it goes on.mismanagement.
5.the va,it has that problem too.
6.only you,will,care about you
7. The fact the the nhk in the uk is always red,and any socialized medicine system gold will never fund it.
8.my,states budget 60 percent of its towards indigent care.
More to follow on the UK .

My wife is 60,her mother just had the same shoulder surgery that my,wife did both would be denied in England because they are overweight.

To think that the state will care for the poor or at times the free market ,as I posted problems .is not seeing the issue.

I,do think our system is broken but I,would be home less if I had to wait for a year or more for a hip issue or problem, where I couldn't work .or addicted to pain, meds.

What do you think charging Americans many times what people in other countries pay is? Its a subsidy to lobbyists.

Hundreds of Florida nursing homes don't meet requirements ahead of Dorian

Just the other day I was talking to a Vietnam combat veteran (infantry officer) who told me he was happy with his continuing care retirement community in Lake Chapala Mexico. He encouraged me to move there if the budget got tight. Contrast that. Happy there at a reasonable price, compared to seniors here unhappy at fantastic prices.

Exactly. Things are hideously expensive in the USA. Even $250k asset people don't get deluxe treatment here. You have to be a billionaire.

it goes on.mismanagement.

Why only here? Its the prices. The majority of seniors can't afford to pay the millions needed for deluxe care, so they get crummy care for prices more expensive than anywhere else in the world.

The uk articles you,didny read.
Their nhs the worst.,rated by the international, red cross, staff shortages

With mexico can the average Mexican afford it? No.your friend being payed in usd will, get the best care.

The peso to dollar is not a good comparison for if it was the Mexicans wouldn't be leaving like they do for work
Chiapas is a tourist area.

Best foot forward there ,try Juarez and go see how well.

Forget about the NHS. Their prices for private hospital self pay are a fraction of what US prices are.

Guardian said:
Even the luxurious accommodations provided to the Duchess of Cambridge for the birth of the royal family’s daughter Princess Charlotte – believed to have cost up to $18,000 – were cheaper than many births in America.

If you don't want national health care, fine. Just let Americans pay free market prices, instead of expensive lobbyist prices. Deluxe accommodation self pay prices in Britain for the royal family are a fraction of what US prices are for average care. The royal family receives excellent care. Enough with expensive favors to lobbyists.

Uk 66 mil,florida 23 mil.

Poster wants to abolish the fiat system and balence the budget without rationing.

Us. Population 350 mil. Can't eveb take care of a vet in,nursing home in,a govt owned and staffed bed .

Canada problem too it cant be the cost as its cheaper so its claimed in both the UK and Canada nations

As i thought ,cities without sewage, the higher rates of communicable diseases.

I'm,not for our system ,its broke but to,assume more govt will work despite my,posts of thr problems misses the point .not that the market will be perfect

I agree. We need change.

So get the government out of health care. All the way out. No more licenses, no more prescriptions needed. The license/prescription system is being abused because of regulatory capture by lobbyists. Let a totally free market system get the job done. If European or Indian doctors want to come to the US and set up shop, let them. If US citizens want to import meds from Europe without a prescription, let them. The free market can only work if customers (patients) can decide what to buy, and anyone can set up shop. Toyota can build a factory in the USA, but Japanese doctors can't set up a hospital here. Even though Japan has one of the best systems in the world. Their longevity is legendary.

Is that how thise nursing homes made money at the expense.

The pound is stronger the dollar
If its that cheaper there renounce your citizenship or move their and pay uk plus u.s. taxes in your income .

Sorry of course the rich will have it better but not the poor.

I posted otherwise 6 bucks for this or that is that why the nhs rations medicine ?

My, mom and her siblings might be dead if they went without blood pressure meds

The grass isn't so green
