In Today's News

Bert and Ernie gay. They are only puppets. Must be an amazing discovery for some people.

Only about 3% of humans identify as LGBT . I wonder what % of puppets are LGBT.

Sesame Street came out officially and said their puppets have no sexual orientation. Classy!

They also said the skit was designed to teach that people can be very different yet still be friends. That's a lesson we all still need to keep in mind, lol

Welcome to another edition of today's news. :) Before I get started with today's report I just wanted to share my opinion about the cheerleading thing. Do I sometimes think that they go overboard with safety stuff when it comes to sports? Yes I do so I can certainly see that side of it. However, I know that today's society has gotten very wimpy when it comes to certain things like around here they are off school if it's too hot or too cold. Pretty much within a drop of a hat which definitely isn't fair to me since I had to suffer through it.

I had to bundle up when it was cold outside and go to Hell *coughs* I mean school. And if it was too hot, I just had to make sure to drink plenty of water and hydrate myself. Anyways,.. now that that rant is over, on with today's report! :salute

Unfortunately I have to start off today's news with a few shootings that recently took place. Two people were shot last evening at a recreation center just before a football game. Here's more of the details.

(That's enough violence reports for today now. It's rather sad of the kind of violent world that we live in. :sad)

(Finally a happy story. :yes) And also twenty-five years after meeting as hospital patients, two cancer survivors officially tied the knot earlier this month. Here's more on the story. :)

I also wanted to say really quick that I sure hope and pray that they find Shawn Christy before anybody seriously gets harmed. :pray By the way, I also wanted to say really fast that I tried searching for the full version of the Sorcerer's Apprentice for Mickey Mouse's ninetieth birthday but I couldn't find it so here's another one of my favorite cartoons instead.

Their hijab only covers British policewomen's hair. Burka covers faces.

Ah! Thank you for correcting my oversight. I have no problem with a LEO's hair being covered.

A legitimate time for a LEO's face to be covered would be on a SWAT team, or if they're in riot gear performing crowd control. I fully expect to never be in a position to face such a thing ...

This happened close enough to me that someone I know had their office building on lockdown. Apparently the shooter left and was only apprehended elsewhere; or at least people thought so? Maybe just a 'fog of war' thing?

I don't know the details of how Police identified the shooter or where they found him. I do hope that the linked story is accurate, and that Police engaged the shooter in the act, both stopping the crime and positively identifying the criminal.

Welcome to another edition of today's news. :)

The Indians are doing well.

...totally unexpected. We’re all software people. We have a good group...

Interesting that they had no inkling that something was amiss.

I wonder what that argument was about at the Zelma George Recreation Center? Perplexing.

Have a wonderful day too, and may the Lord bless you.

Happy Friday everybody and welcome to another edition of today's news. :) I'm just going to bounce right into today's news because I'm going out for crepes really soon and I want to try and get this finished before then. :boing

Here's a story about the navy's new Zumwalt class destroyer. They are thinking about putting nukes on it, to deter Russia and China from attacking us. Its much different from previous models.
Placing nukes on it would be a mistake. That would place it in a high threat category to opposing nations. It would become a top priority must kill target much like the Bismark or the Yamato only multiplied greatly. Best leave the nuclear delivery option to more survivable launch platforms.

both the u.s. and the Russians have nuke carrying subs , these also can perform normal missions. I know a cop who was the guy who launched the nukes on his dolphin. the symbol for the sub is a dolphin. it doesn't take much to simply convert a cruise missile to carry a nuke war head. there were designed for that and dd class ships were armed with nike and herules and the older posiendon missiles which also did carry nuke war heads and conventional ones.
