Israelis demand Third Temple

Are you saying Jesus was calling this place a name and it has no other value ?

Mat_24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

From what i understand you to be saying the The Holy Place in the Temple was not really Holy. Holy Place is just a name. Like living room or closet... just a name right?

I'm saying Jesus is telling us where the AOD will be standing, and for us to run when we see him standing there.

JLB

So You say Jesus would call a place Holy that was not Holy?
I wont continue this back and forth ..

No ma'aam.

I'm saying Jesus was describing where the AOD will be standing, which is the sign for them the flee, because this triggers the great tribulation.

  • when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place”

The temple was in Jerusalem; Judea

There were told to flee Judea when they saw this happen.

  • then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

15 “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), 16 “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. Matthew 24:15-21

So You say Jesus would call a place Holy that was not Holy?
I wont continue this back and forth ..

People like to call Jeruslaum Holy yet every prophet called Jerusalem a Harlot, and Jesus said your house is left to you desolate, and his Father's house is a nothing more than a dwelling place of devils, and the fig tree was cursed may no fruit ever come from you again, and Jerusalem is full of the blood of the prophets.

The statement, He as God sits in the Temple of God, is part of a verse that is one of the most misused and misunderstood in relation to both Prophecy, and the Christian Identity. The gross misrepresentation of this verse is used to propagate the false theory of a Jewish rebuilt temple in the last days.

There are actually two main verses used completely out of context to establish a teaching, albeit a false one for sure:

  • A Covenant that the Anti-Christ makes with the Jews (Dan 9:27).
  • A re-established temple for the Jews (2 Thess 2:3-4).
  • A reinstated sacrificial system (Dan 9:27).
He as God sits in the Temple of God This Is Where The Holy Spirit Should Reside
2 Thess 2:3-4 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sits in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

The Elect of Christ are His temple and He resides in them, through the Holy Spirit.

Acts 7:48-49 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet, Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?

He as God sits in the Temple of God, is in reference to Satan dwelling where he ought not to.

During the Great Tribulation, there are two references to where the temple of God is, one is wherever Christ is, and during this time it is in Heaven.

The other is within the true believer that has been sealed, set apart and Baptized in the Holy Spirit.

The message hidden to most in 2 Thess 2:4, is as follows. If any one worships the man of sin or Satan as god, then the temple or dwelling place in us that is designed and set apart for God, is occupied by this impostor.

So the phrase,"He as God sits in the Temple of God" is no longer a mystery. Scripture informs us that Satan is the god of this world.

Satan imitating God dwells in the place of God, showing himself that he is a god (1 Cor 3:16; 6:19; 2 Cor 6:16; Acts 7:48; 17:24; Rev 11:19).

Matt 4:8-10 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

The true message of the Gospel of Christ can only be understood by those who are Baptized with the Holy Spirit. The natural man can not receive the things of the Spirit of God. The Words of God are spiritually discerned, the carnal mind can not know them (1 Cor 2:14).

He as God sits in the Temple of God, is a true saying for so many who are of this world and blind to the Gospel of Christ.

2 Cor 4:3-4 But if our gospel be hidden, it is hidden to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Isaiah 65:9 And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.

The Elect not only understand who they are in Christ, but they are the ones to whom the inheritance is promised to.

Acts 17:24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwells not in temples made with hands

People like to call Jeruslaum Holy yet every prophet called Jerusalem a Harlot,

34 But I say to you, do not swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is God’s throne; 35 nor by the earth, for it is His footstool; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. Matthew 5:34-35

  • nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.

and again

16 And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. 17 And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, on them there will be no rain. Zechariah 14:16-17

  • which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts.

Yes Christians are the temple of the Holy Spirit.

The problem with your theory is you can't see the Holy Spirit, but the man of sin, the lawless one, the false messiah who goes to the temple of God will be revealed.

3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4

  • the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed
  • so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

and again

9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12

The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders,

The coming, arrival, or advent of the lawless one will demonstrated by power, signs and lying wonders, that deceive people.

Rev 11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

Mat_23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

The words, He Shall Confirm The Covenant with Many, represents a mystery that is not understood by many.

Christ did confirm the covenant with many, and this confirmation process began at the beginning of the New Testament age.

The interpretation of the words "He Shall Confirm The Covenant with Many" will impact our understanding of other prophetic passages. The truth hidden in this passage will undoubtedly unravel many other deceptions that are all to common in end time prophecy teachings.

Most teachers of Christianity falsely claim that this verse is all about the anti-Christ making a covenant with Israel for seven years.

Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

From the command to rebuild Jerusalem until Christ is a period of sixty nine weeks of years; the emphasis in this verse is on Jesus Christ (Dan 9:25).

And after this period of time Messiah shall be cut off; the emphasis in this verse is also on Him (Dan 9:26). Likewise in Dan 9:27, the emphasis is still on Jesus. He shall confirm the covenant with many.

The words “he shall" are added by the translator twice. Therefore, what is being described in the first part of this passage is the confirming or establishment of a covenant with many for one week. This means that the emphasis is on confirming a covenant, and it may be confirmed by multiple sources. He shall confirm the covenant with many, is in reference to Christ's covenant.

The first half of the seventieth week of Daniel was fulfilled in Christ; His ministry was for three and one half years. The promise that He shall confirm the covenant with many, is in reference to Christ's covenant, and is already partially fulfilled.

This covenant which is Christ’s testimony is the basis for the entire New Testament; those that had faith and hope believed in the testimony of Christ unto life. The self righteous and deceived believed in their own testimony unto death.

The Old Testament is fulfilled in and through Jesus in two parts. Part one is the arrival of the Word of Life and the payment for sin upon the cross unto Salvation. Part two is the separation of the unjust, and the inheritance and kingdom that are received by the just at His second coming. He shall confirm the covenant with many, is in reference to Christ's covenant, and the hope of our Salvation.

The second covenant or promise that Christ gave to all mankind was to take away their sins. This could not be accomplished under the first one, as sins were only temporarily covered (Rom 11:27; Heb 9:25). He shall confirm the covenant with many, is realized in these verses.

Jesus Christ, the son of God is the only mediator of a perfect covenant between the Father and men. This covenant that was confirmed to all He spoke to, was established then upon the best promise of all unto our eternal life (1Tim 2:5; Heb 8:6-10).

Heb 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

He shall confirm the covenant with many, is the focus of the entire New Testament:

He shall confirm the covenant with many is in reference to Christ who did confirm the covenant with many. His earthly ministry was for three and a half years. This leaves the second half of the last week still unfulfilled. Many grasp the truth that Daniel 9:27, refers to Christ as the one who does the confirming. However they believe that it is a consecutive seven year period with the latter half confirmation taking place through his disciples.

Part of the prophecy in Daniel 9:24 has yet to transpire, and that is to bring in everlasting righteousness.

Isaiah 11:4-6 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

Isaiah 51:6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.

He shall confirm the covenant with many also refers to the two Witnesses that Confirm The Covenant During The Second Half of the Week
Rev 11:3-7 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

A thousand two hundred and sixty days, is three and one half years. This is the length of time that these witnesses have to share their testimony during the tribulation period.

So then, He shall confirm the covenant with many, is partially accomplished through the two witnesses. They are messengers of the covenant. Also it can be said that they witness of him and through him, by the spirit of God.

He shall confirm the covenant with many through His two witnesses as well. And Satan will establish deception by means of the Beast and the False Prophet. This should prove to be quite interesting, and it will all unfold during the 3 1/2 year period of time referred to as the Great Tribulation.

As the two witnesses are martyred for the testimony of Christ, so too many of us will be martyred as well. The words witness and martyr carry the same meaning. Everyone that walks in Christ’s Truth will witness of Him, but not all die as martyrs.

Rev 6:11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

The second half of the prophecy, that He shall confirm the covenant with many for one week, is confirmed through the two witnesses that shall prophesy for three and a half years. They foretell events to come under the divine inspiration of Christ. Christ performed incredible miracles and demonstrated awesome power while on earth. These two also demonstrate awesome power, as Jesus gives them the ability to:

  • Destroy their enemies with fire
  • Send plagues upon the land
  • Turn the waters into blood
  • Prevent rain from falling on the land
What a time of incredible joy for the true believer, to visualize the power of Christ through these two men of God. Our faith and hope will only be strengthened as we know that their ministry is for three and a half years, and afterwards Christ returns with our Salvation.

The Redeemed In Christ that will Inherit Zion is a future event, and part of the promise to the faithful followers of the Lamb of God.

The daughter of Zion is a reference to Jerusalem (Isa 1:1;1:8).

Isaiah 62:11-12 Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.

Psalms 132:13 For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.

The Redeemed In Christ that Will Inherit Zion
The Redeemed in Christ, describes a purchased possession. In the Old Testament prophetic descriptions of Christ reigning on earth, it can also represent redemption which is a fulfillment of the redemptive process unto Salvation.

Isaiah 35:8-10 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there: And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Ransom is another word describing the purchase that Christ made on the cross to wash us from our sins. Christ offered up His life as a ransom for many (Math 20:28).

Isaiah 51:11 Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.

The Redeemed In Christ that will Inherit Zion, are those that Christ gathers at His Second Coming, these have the Law of Christ in their hearts, and this is the second gathering of Israel (Isa 51:7; Heb 10:16).

Romans 11:26-27 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

It is only through the redemptive power of the Blood of Christ that we can have hope of salvation. No man is justified by the works of the old law; we are dead to the law of sin and death through the body of Christ, and our justification can only come through faith in Him who lives in us. (Rom 7:4; 8:1-6; Gal 2:16-21). Furthermore all who are transformed by the renewing of their minds in Christ are a new creation and are the Israel of God (Gal 6:15-16; Rom 12:2; 2 Cor 5:17).

Luke 1:68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,

Jesus the Lord God of Israel, was manifest or revealed in the flesh, and laid down His life to call the Redeemed in Christ that He had chosen unto Himself; the word redeemed here is used three times and is in reference to his conquering of sin and death. Redemption on the other hand refers to a time of transformation wherein the redeemed will put on immortality and incorruption, revealed in Christ at His Second Coming. All who are cleansed in His redeeming work on the cross wait for the redemption of the mortal body; the Redeemed In Christ that will Inherit Zion also inherit the right to be called the True Israel of God (Luke 21:28; Rom 8:23; Eph 1:10-14; 2 Tim 1:10; 1 Cor 15:53).

Luke 1:77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,

In the Old Testament quite often where the words his and people are used together the translation is incorrect; possession of, in the sense of belonging to Him is rarely the intended meaning. Only those who truly know God and are faithful to Him are counted as His possession. Conversely in the New Testament his people always is used in reference to His purchased possession; the Redeemed in Christ; He knows their names.

Romans 4:13-14 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:

The Redeemed In Christ that Will Inherit Zion also represent the True Israel Of God
Isaiah 65:1-2 I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name. I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts;

Israel after the flesh that did not obtain the law of righteousness failed as a result of unfaithfulness; after Christ those who became new creations through his Spirit, are called the Israel of God, and are the Redeemed In Christ (Gal 6:15-16).

Romans 10:20-21 But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me. But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.

Through Christ all are joined into the commonwealth of Israel, are of the family of the Redeemed in Christ, and can partake in the covenants of promise (Eph 2:12).

Romans 9:6-7 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children

Israel after the flesh did not receive the election, that is they were not part of God's Elect; their hearts were hardened through pride, and they were blinded by the lusts of seeking after the praises of men. The iniquity within them was such that they rejected the very Savior that the Law and Prophets spoke of.

Romans 11:7 What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded

The word Israel carries with it the meaning of God prevailing; the Redeemed In Christ that will Inherit Zion, represent all that are called, and obey in faith through the Spirit; not only do we as Israel prevail, but through Christ we are actually called the Sons of God (1 John 3:1; John 1:10-14).

Romans 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

The Redeemed in Christ will be saved; the all refers to all of a type, namely the faithful and obedient that walk with Christ; He is the only way, the absolute truth, and in him we can have eternal life (John 3:15; 1 John 2:22-29).

The promise was made to Abraham the father of all who are of the faith, and to his seed Christ Jesus; we are all as believers in Him, of that seed (Rev 12:17; Gal 3:16).

Isaiah 65:9 And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.

Mark 13:26-27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

After that tribulation Christ will gather together the Redeemed in Christ; he that endures until the end will be saved; the elect are chosen unto Salvation and have not fallen asleep, they are watchful and alert not to be deceived (Mark 13: 6, 13, 20, 22, 36).

1 Peter 2:9-10 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy

We have tasted His word and it is our most precious possession, He has established His Spirit in us, and we walk in the light. We are the Redeemed In Christ that will Inherit Zion, and forever be with our Lord Adonai.

Yes, the Lord get's disappointed when His people act dishonorably in His city, the city of the great King.

The city where He will establish His throne as King, when He returns on that great Day.

20 In that day “HOLINESS TO THE LORD” shall be engraved on the bells of the horses. The pots in the Lord’s house shall be like the bowls before the altar. 21 Yes, every pot in Jerusalem and Judah shall be holiness to the Lord of hosts.

  • every pot in Jerusalem and Judah shall be holiness to the Lord of hosts.

No such thing as a New Covenant age.

The covenant Christ made is an everlasting covenant, not a 7 year covenant.

“And after the sixty-two weeks
Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself;
And the people of the prince who is to come
Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.
The end of it shall be with a flood,
And till the end of the war desolations are determined.

27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;
But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,
Even until the consummation, which is determined,
Is poured out on the desolate.” Daniel 9:26-27

  • Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;

25 “Know therefore and understand,
That from the going forth of the command
To restore and build Jerusalem
Until Messiah the Prince,
There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks;

“Seventy weeks are determined
For your people and for your holy city,
To finish the transgression,
To make an end of sins,
To make reconciliation for iniquity,
To bring in everlasting righteousness,
To seal up vision and prophecy,
And to anoint the Most Holy.

That from the going forth of the command
To restore and build Jerusalem
Until Messiah the Prince,

The street shall be built again, and the wall,
Even in troublesome times.

Daniel 9:25-27

This prophecy began, by Daniel understanding from the scriptures [books], that the prophet Jeremiah had spoken by the word of the Lord a seventy year period of captivity, and understanding that time was at an end, he set his face towards the Lord, and began fasting, interceding, and repenting and confessing the sins on behalf of the nation of Israel.

Daniel was still in captivity in Babylon when Darius was king, but was conquered by Cyrus soon afterward.

We know from History the 4 world empires were:

Babylon - Nebuchadnezzar [and successor's] - Head of Gold
Persian - Cyrus [and successors] - Chest and arms of silver
Greek - Alexander the Great - Belly and thighs of bronze
Roman - Augustus Caesar - Legs of iron and feet partly iron and partly clay.

31 “You, O king, were watching; and behold, a great image! This great image, whose splendor was excellent, stood before you; and its form was awesome. 32 This image’s head was of fine gold, its chest and arms of silver, its belly and thighs of bronze, 33 its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of clay. 34 You watched while a stone was cut out without hands, which struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces. 35 Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold were crushed together, and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors; the wind carried them away so that no trace of them was found. And the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth. Daniel 2:31-35

The time period began and ceased with each world ruler of that time, until Messiah the Prince, the prophetic time marker for the end of the first 69 weeks.

Likewise the 70th week will begin when a world ruler, "the prince who is to come" confirms a covenant with many for seven years, or 1 week.

The 70 weeks is broken up into three distinct time periods, the key being Messiah the Prince, with a prophetic pause in between each, as God foresaw each ruler who would start, stop and begin again the 7 weeks and 62 weeks, as well as the 70th week.

The 70 weeks is described as:

7 Weeks - There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks;
62 Weeks - There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks;
1 Weeks - Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;

The 70 week time period began with Cyrus.

The going forth of the command from Cyrus, set the prophetic clock ticking, and released the children of Israel to return and rebuild.

Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying,

2 Thus says Cyrus king of Persia:

All the kingdoms of the earth the Lord God of heaven has given me. And He has commanded me to build Him a house at Jerusalem which is in Judah. 3 Who is among you of all His people? May his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem which is in Judah, and build the house of the Lord God of Israel (He is God), which is in Jerusalem. 4 And whoever is left in any place where he dwells, let the men of his place help him with silver and gold, with goods and livestock, besides the freewill offerings for the house of God which is in Jerusalem. Ezra 1:1-4

No we don't get that the scriptures are a curse.

Please post the scripture that teaches us that scripture is a curse?
