Jesus came to call sinners to repentance

Everybody who is of their father the devil refuses. ( the spirit of error and antichrist, is in them)
Were that true, then nobody could turn from darkness and unto the light.
By rebirth we can shed all that was Adam's, and the devil's, and be reborn of God's seed.
Yes the same is nowadays.
Agreed.
Matthew 13:39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
Matthew 13:19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
1 John 3:12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.
1 John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

>>>There were sinners and righteous, but Jesus came only to the sinners.
But we been told, there are no righteous and we all sinners.
There were righteous people in Jesus' day.

Luke 1
[5] There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.
[6] And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. (KJV)

>>>Agree, You may add: Noah, Daniël, job and John the Baptist (Ez. 14:14)

>>>'Self labeled" ?
Jesus called them Righteous, healthy who is in no need of guidance or a doctor.
But as he said: he was sent to the unhealthy, not guided and the sinners.
from the biggening Jesus called them: the lost sheep of Israel, not all the Jews, but the "lost ones".

BTW, if you look again at verse 31, the Jews were accusing the disciples not Jesus.
But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against His disciples, saying, “Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners?”
Doesn't Jesus's reply suggest to you that their problem was with "Him". His disciples were following Him.

Romans 8:4 kjv
4. That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

There is a righteousness under the law of Moses, but in only goes so far.
2 Chronicles 7:14 kjv
14. If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

That righteousness is physical blessings in their physical land.

The spiritual righteousness is about eternal life by what Christ Jesus accomplished,

We try and not get the two forms of righteousness confused.

When we are truly born again, we are no longer our own.

2 Corinthians 5
[14] For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died;
[15] and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.

[17] Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

So when you are in season your fruits are evident.
But
Out of season the nutrition to others is not manifested?
..,..
The scriptures do speak, but for some only when interpreted by another who is in season.

We have to learn how to be on target at all times,
…….

Good series of posts.

Good
Fruits are not good posts.

Debating and talking, is empty fruit.

1 John 3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

Neither is it right to say we ned interpretation from others, we have the Spirit to do that, not people.

1 Corinthians 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

Were that true, then nobody could turn from darkness and unto the light.
By rebirth we can shed all that was Adam's, and the devil's, and be reborn of God's seed.
Why would those who are of the devil turn to God ?

Those who are of God hear Gods words.

Jeremiah 13:23 Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.

John 8:47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

By hearing Gods words we can be born of God, and that had to be given.

1 Corinthians then 2, make it clear, the eyes are not opened of the wise and prudent, then only the weak despised and base are chosen.

Matthew 13:15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

1 Corinthians 1:19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

1 Corinthians 1:26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.

1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

Luke 1

[6] And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. (KJV)

Righteous before God, as Abraham was, for believing in God.

Children of God by faith in Jesus Christ, baptized into Christ, ( as John Baptist also required to be) and if we are Christs, we are Abrahams seed according to the promise.

Romans 4:12 And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.

Galatians 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

James 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

Then we have the long list of all those in faith, Abraham, Noah Daniel, Job, but they did not receive the promise, that they without us should not be made perfect.

Hebrews 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

Hebrews 11:39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

Jesus Christ is the good Shepherd who does call all to repentance, as none were good, not one, as that can only be the good shepherd.

Isaiah 53:11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

John 10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

When we are truly born again, we are no longer our own.

2 Corinthians 5
[14] For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died;
[15] and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.

[17] Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
Everybody does live for their own self now..

Philippians 2:21 For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's.

2 Timothy 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

But we are commanded not to.

These are sinners, not the children of God.
These are the ones as described, not as you claim them to be.

They have the form of godliness, they deny the power of God, ( power of the resurrection. 1 Corinthians 6:14.) They as seen on forums, are ever learning, resisting the truth, doing folly. ( debate, dispute, strife, contention.)

2 Timothy 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was.

But we know the doctrine of the Lord, ( the Apostles of the Lord who acknowledge the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.) their purpose of the same faith of Jesus Christ, which is long suffering, charity, patience, in persecutions, afflictions, endurance, but these evil men and seducers deceive, because they are the ones deceived.

2 Timothy 3:10 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,
11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

These are the ones as described, not as you claim them to be.

Only having a form of godliness makes one a sinner, not a child of God. 2 Timothy 3 v1-5 is addressing ungodly traits of the end-time people.

2 Timothy 3
[1] This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
[2] For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
[3] Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
[4] Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
[5] Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Perilous times have come, because ungodliness has increased, in the time when men could be sincere Christians and loving others, ( as we were commanded to do 2000 years ago) now men love their own selves, covet and boast, are proud blasphemers, are unthankful and unholy, truce breakers, false accusers, despising those who are good, heady and high minded, lovers of pleasures. ( it cannot be more of a troubled time when the whole world has become completely deceived.)

These are sinners alright, but they are also the ones who profess, ( confess) that they know God, and then deny God in works, being disobedient and reprobate to every good work.

2 Corinthians 13, first tells of this, examining whether one is oi the faith or no, is known because they are reprobate. As 2 Timothy 3, continues to speak about, they resist the truth and are reprobate concerning the faith.

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

2 Timothy 3:8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

Titus 1:15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

2 Peter 2 gives more of these false teachers ( as everybody who tries to talk on this forum for example) bringing in heresies, which denies Jesus Christ who bought them. Many follow the subtle ways ( of the devil) and speak evil of the way of truth, ( evil surmisings, not consenting to the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, being proud and doing about questions of words with strife. 1 Timothy 6:3-4.) and with covetousness they use pretend words.

Romans 1, also tells the same testimony, they are left over to a reprobate mind, are coveteous, full of envy and debate, proud boasters, inventing evil things, disobedience, covenant breakers, implacable ( strong opinions cant be corrected.)

That is the antichrist spirit, the spirit of error, which confesses, ( professes belief in God) and also denies, which are the MANY DECEIVERS, who entered into the world, who do all that is described in those warnings, disputing, and contending, and yet, understanding nothing. ( without understanding.)

Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

1 Timothy 6:3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

1 John 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

1 John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

2 John 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

If you are saying the outward practice of religion, without inward change, I agree.

Jesus did not come to condemn the world, but to bring abundant life. Possibly I should stress inward change without neglecting the outward man.

Jesus came to judge the world, ( when the Holy Ghost came to the Apostles) it is judged, the scriptures just shared, show the judgement.

If you want to sit on a forum, agreeing to some, disagreeing to others, good for you, it means nothing though, disputers are told to be here, so we consent to the wholesome words of Christ, or we deny them all.

John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

John 16:8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;
10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

Jude 1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Let me express some things, and then ask a question. I have been associated with:
Baptists, Presbyterians, Charismatics. Bumped up with Sons of God, British Israelites, Messianic Jewish folks, Catholics This is not online but in person.

Who am I now? You seem to have a narrow definition of who I am. I hope I am a Great Commission person. What I talk about ranges over Jew and gentile alike. I hope it is about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, seen from an Agape standpoint (rod and staff).

My question is who are the We mentioned above?

You can find out one day who you are, the same answer was given for Jeremiah1five earlier, who supports the Jews, that if they do not hear Moses, how will they believe in Christ ?

Why ask me who you are, or what you are, if you think the testimony that I tried to give, is not for you, what more would I have to say.

kindly do not express any more qs my way, I am not on the forum for that, I am giving a little testimony, then I am done.
