i said if they were shooting at me first. should a cop wait a trail and jury then return fire when the crooks are shooting at him first?

have you ever heard of wifes killing husbands for money etc? not that I fear that just making a point.
I
I would not love nor car for any person If they HARMED OR WERE TO ATTEMPT TO HARM MY LOVED ONES. at that point my family comes first. I would first take their life if escape isn't possible. then I likely wouldn't regret as it was the right thing I had to do. sure would I enjoy it? ABSOULETY not

SHEESH get a grip. taking a life is serious business its do or die in these situations. hesistate to act and you die.

have you ever been in a fight? trained for one? the emotions need to be controlled but trust me they will come out and you will feel them. that is my point.

we aren't zombies. if I try to harm you will get either the fight or flight response. if trained you will respond according to your training with your disposition to stressors. which either will be a panic or to handle it as trained.

right im sure that there wasn't any adreline?

no if I don't get him he will get him. no fear. no anger that he hurt you? right. sure.

in other words if a guy grabs you. you will what?

aim in love to break a joint?
aim in love to kill?

have a nice day then sir.

uh. Edward. how does one not kill in hate?

I mean if a man is harming your children. are you to kill him with love?

Works the same as "Christ is my Sabbath", you think good thoughts, meanwhile breaking the letter of the Law.

Let me say that if you have a gun in the house, you will most likely someday use it.
If you don't have a gun in the house, you will most certainly call upon the name of the Lord when you need to.

I was blessed with three nice whitetail deer last fall and they are in the freezer. I have guns and I use them. I have never used them against another person and I do not intend to. I already quoted II Chron 20, so here is another...

Exo 14:10 And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD.
Exo 14:11 And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?
Exo 14:12 Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.
Exo 14:13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.
Exo 14:14 The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

I just gotta ask, what is different today than 3500 years ago?

Isa 59:1 Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

I hope no one is ever in that situation... Very thankful to the Lord for our children not being home. For DH not to be bowling. ( an avid league bowler who forgot? ) The day the bad guys kicked in the door we had decided not to sell the house... the deal had fallen through.... that changed PTL ! A biker bought the house... Mostly I am thankful DH did not have to shoot or kill anyone... At the same time within about 2 weeks that gang of bad guys killed an old man and severely wounded his wife. Home invasions are not fun...

I trust the Lord but I ware a coat against the cold
I trust the Lord but I don't play on the freeway
I trust the Lord but I wash my hands
I trust the Lord and thank Him I can afford glasses
I trust the Lord and thank Him chemo worked

Edward,

Praise God you are a responsible gun owner. Just a few months ago a retired cop shot a neighbors dog because it was in his yard barking at his rabbit cage. The man shot the dog with an assault rifle because that's the stupid laws in my state. What a beautiful dog too. It was a breed I never heard of. That issue is in the legislature now and hope it gets changed.
I have a question. I constantly hearing people say that back ground checks will inhibit law abiding citizens from owning guns which makes no sense to me.
My question...

What makes people think that because a citizen is law abiding they will make responsible gun owners?

When my dog goes into the neighbors yard they don't shoot it. When my dog ate one of the neighbors chickens we apologize and replaced the chicken. In my view that cop was unethical.

A few years ago another off duty cop unloaded his gun on a dog in a public park because it had gotten away from its owner and went up to him and continually barked. You know how dogs do that. Had it been an ordinary citizen I bet he would have been in trouble.
I was a paperboy when I was a youngster and had several dogs do just what that one dog did in the park. I just ignored them and they did their job and I did mine.

Needless to say...I'm not fond of law enforcement.

I found another scripture with Jesus Himself talking that is relevant to this. I never noticed this scripture before but it sure jumped out at me today when I read it.

Luke 11:21

21 “When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are safe. 22 But when someone stronger attacks and overpowers him, he takes away the armor in which the man trusted and divides up his plunder.

I think he's talking about putting on the full armor of God.

The strong man guarding his house is satans' power.
The stronger man who overcomes him is Jesus' and his dominion.
Look at the verses before and after.
They both indicate trusting Jesus and his power.
We trust Jesus and his power by putting on the full armor of God.
