Why fear ? I would say this .
And the crowds were awe struck and they glorified God !

As Christians we should have a reverence for God and worship Him, but why would we fear him ?
I think if you were to see God standing in front of you, you would feel a fear you have never even imagined.

The crowd present at Mt. Sinai were so terrified at God's presence and voice that their hearts almost failed them.

I am sure it would all depend on how God presents himself to us for instance what if God came to speak me or you in the form of a whirlwind ? Now if God wanted to instill fear in us , without a doubt he would .
