- Good!
-If Job's words are hard?
- I don't think so!
- Once again God is his only reference!
- For him it can only be God!
- Everything which happens is not natural!
- It can't be an accident!
- And God doesn't say anything!
- Job is let to himself!
- The devil did everything so Job would think it was God!
- He wants Job to go away from God!
- And he uses all possible weapons!
- His attacks against Job are a masterpiece!
I agree with you about the value of the lessons in the book of Job. I agree God put many prophetic statements in the book of Job, and calls some to open those hidden things.

I do think Job learned things as he interacted with God.

Most people do not read the book of Job enough times to know that the three friends are theologically challenged. Their first time people read through the book, friends seem to be giving good advice to Job. At the end the readers find out the friends are wrong and Job is right.
If
You re-read the book (knowing the friends do not speak the truth), you notice the friends errors. This is not a man type wisdom that gets you to the truth, but a God led revelation.

Elihu seems wise till you see he is condemning others that God is helping learn truths. Elihu is the one who is addressed here:

Job 38:2 kjv
2. Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
3. Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.

In the parable of the sower Jesus finally tells the disciples the meaning, while others hear but do not understand the meaning of the parable. These others that do not understand are like Elihu.

Job is like the disciples of Jesus. Hear now the meaning.

I have read, re-read read again the book of Job. Many times. Often confused and in agony, but knowing much truth was in the book of Job (not finding the truth by human wisdom). (Long story about what led me into the book of Job)

- Good thoughts!

- Sooner or later I will write about the different weapons used by the devil against Job!

- The more you read it and the more you may see weapons used by the devils against Job!

- And only weapons!

34) Looking for Job

Job 6:

So now turn and look at me,

For I would not lie to your very faces,

- When we speak to people, do we really look at them!

- It doesn’t mean looking at the person all the time because to concentrate it is necessary to close one’s eyes or close the doors and the windows and get inside!

- But at least when the person expresses his feelings or moves we must watch carefully to interpret!

35) Looking for Job

Job 6:

Reconsider, please – do not misjudge me -

Yes, reconsider, for my righteousness is yet intact,

- It is quite easy to misjudge probably mainly because of appearances or because of bad experiences or lack of experiences!

-The first word of this word is essential “Reconsider”!

it is a an interesting search.

Lies presented from Satan:

Through nature/creation controlled by Satan
Through his wife
Through false theology presented through his 3 friends.
Through false understanding of creation through Elihu. The use of anger presented by Elihu.

Job’s answers were on track, but God helped finish/complete the answers.

The lies we hear today are often the same old (similar/parallel) ones presented in the book of Job.

- Yes, because the devil fought God!
- And he wanted to win at any cost!
- He was ready to anything except he coudn't kill Job!
- Killing Job would have been another defeat!
- He had to make Job go away from God!
- And he had no time to lose!
- And he would use constant waves of ennemies not friends!
- He would not tolerate any help to Job!
- And it was no question of teaching or what was right or wrong!
- Just destroying Job!
- He would not leave him alone!
- it is strange to think that he would win against God!
- It is different to have humanity going away from and faithful servants of God doing the same!
- A lot more difficult!
- That's why he has always tried to kill them!

36) Looking for Job

- We may have or take the wrong approach or let influence but it is better to recognize it and change it if or when necessary!

- Think about how you would react at the same situation at different ages of your life or even during the same day at different times of the day!

- Just thinking about reconsidering may change everything and sometimes your whole life!

- There are always different options!

- Of course, sometimes we need to hurry but even!

37) Looking for Job

Job 6:
Is my tongue speaking unjustly?
Does my palate not discern that something
is wrong?

- Job is in total distress!

- He knows it perfectly!

- No need to tell him!

- For these guys, it seems impossible to help!

- How easy it is to make a situation worse!

- Sometimes it is better no to say a word, sometimes it is better to act!

- But these guys, they have all wrong and each time they make it worse!

- It helps to understand why God uses special hard training for his faithful ones!

38) Looking for Job

Job 7:

Is not the life of mortal man on earth like
compulsory labor,
And are not his days like those of a hired worker?”

- compulsory labor, hired worker: it sounds like slavery, displeasure, unhappiness!

- Of course, Job in down the pit and thus he speaks about his condition!

- He employs precise words to express or traduce his precise condition and real feelings!

- How is it possible to be insensitive?

- Well, the three individuals are and not only them!

39) Looking for Job

Job7:
Like a slave, he longs for the shadow,
And like a hired worker, he waits for his
wages.

- Here we are: “like a slave”!

- Yes, a negative vision connected to a negative state of mind!

- In this case, your world is closed and it is really hard to get in!

- Definitely not by discouraging the person but by encouraging him or her!

40) Looking for Job

Job 7:
Thus I have been assigned months of futility
And nights of misery have been counted out for me.

- There is often one element we don’t take into account and which is essential: TIME!

- In fact, the book of Job doesn’t enhance the period of time Job had to suffer!

- Pain and suffering are difficult to bear but when it lasts and lasts and lasts!

- Here Job speaks about “months of futility”!

- Of course, he would have been more useful for him and for people if he could live a normal life during this time!

- Of course, he was trained through hardship!

- So everything is relative: one situation in exchange of another one with positive and negative effects!

Job is going through what Jesus would suffer through. Job is a type of the coming Messiah.

God gets his children back at the resurrection, and by extension so will Job. Not as physical children but as brothers in Christ (?).

Reading Job is a shadow of things to happen in the future.

-Good!

- It is easy to forget that the Bible has two parts!

- They are both interconnected!

- Each one helps us to understand the other one!

- Thus each one is as important as the other one!

- They are keys to understanding!

- May I ask a question to everybody ?

- I will let people time!

- Then I will answer too!

- There is no trap!

- WHAT IS ALL THE BIBLE ABOUT EXCEPT THE FACT THAT IT IS GOD’S WORD ?

- There may be different answers depending on the elements we have!

My answer is in the thread what is all the Bible about?

Job 1

  • We are told about Job when he was an old man!
  • Job was an upright man of integrity!
  • He feared Yah·weh!
  • He shunned what was bad!
  • He became the greatest of all the people of the East!
  • He would make sacrifices for his children because he was afraid that his children would sin against God in their hearts!
  • And he would always do that!
  • Have you ever heard of someone like him in the Bible?
  • And for Yah·weh it was clear like crystal!
  • There was no one like him on earth!
  • Yah·weh let the devil test Job’s faithfulness!
  • But he couldn’t kill him!
  • Right here we have all the elements indicating that Job was exceptional!
  • Then because of the devil, he lost everything!
  • Let’s have a look at what he said after losing everything in Job 1:21
