No I was not looking for a end if world discussion I wanted to see how he was interpreting the scriptures and so far for I skimmed through it because I got to go soon.

So far he is doing what men do.

U can't try to interpret the bible with a scientific or literal theologian aspect.

Other books that would work well but not with the bible for its a book of faith.

The man said revelations the angel didn't tell john to seal the book for the time is near and Daniel said seal up the words till the time of the end hinting to it happened already and it's not so

Gods time is different from our time so when we begin to understand we know the end is here.
But Daniels words are sealed till the end which is no longer sealed for some understand for the time is here

That scholar can't understand that cause it's faith.

What that man is doing in my perspective is he is reading the scriptures how a scientist reads a science book looking for facts
And he not gone find any facts unless those facts are of faith for the wisdom of this world is foolishness before god
 
You aren't able to read the Bible in faith that these men wrote what they meant to say? Is there some need to make the book a mystical puzzle that wouldn't be revealed for thousands of years.... and maybe not even then, but, perhaps, ten thousand, or more, years later?

No it's not a puzzle to us but to them for seeing they see and can percieve and hearing they hear and can not understand
Unless they see with their eyes and hear with theirs hearts and be converted and healed as it is written by the prophet Isaiah

That is why they can't understand.

As it is written in the book of Isaiah 29

10 For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.

11 And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed:

12 And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.

Did the angel tell Daniel to seal the prophecy that was given to him? Yes
Did the angel tell John not to seal the prophecy given to him? Yes
That is what the scriptures say, literally.
So you want to what ? Say those scriptures don't say that?
Obviously Daniel words were unsealed back in the 1st century because Jesus told his followers to read Daniel to understand what He was talking about.
 
Two and a half hours is long, but I've spent much more time than that reading Gentry's books; time well spent. It will be interesting to see/hear what he has to say.

yet call that literal rendering.

ie some of you standing here, soon, shortly, im not the brightest in theology and science but our lord is simple to understand and hard to obey. yes there are grey areas. those are easy to find. but matthew 24, when does all not mean all?

I watched it, and while there was really nothing in it new to me, it would be beneficial for futurists to watch just to get an idea of what the preterism view is based on.

I agree, I plan to watch in a few days. I will take bites of half hour blocks
 
I had to mark the guy off the list of credibility when he defined the temple spoken of in Rev. 11 as the Jewish temple in Jerusalem, about 26 minutes in. Then at about the 30 min mark he tries to go back to allegorical understandings, and does a very poor job at that trying to correlate allegory to earthly physical kings of past historical reigns.
 
Didn't say we would all agree with him. I don't agree with some of what he says. What I did say was that this video is "so worthwhile" to listen to. Loads of interesting information here.

You got my vote on that one. It is an invisible scripturally PREDICTABLE power structure that God Himself has set in place OVER the world as it now exists.
