@forgiven :You guys got it good too... (No wonder the Gulf Coast is good for tanning, if this is what people want, anyway; all the stuff about skin cancer aside.)
Yeah too bad I just burn and peel though *sigh*, so lotssss of SPF 50 between May and Sept. for my family. But carrying a bottle of sun screen for those months is just a SMALL price to pay for the nice heat instead of those crazy winters :p!
Yes, you guys down South have got a lot going for you! Up here the summer is hot and short, maybe 4 months at the most. The rest of the year can be a long, extended winter....
And what would folk do without their lotion, eh? Almost like coffee, part of some ppl's staple diet...! (You do have to keep an eye on the effect of the sun on your skin ink, because of fading, but it ought not to be too big a deal.) I guess the various Lotion Corporations Inc. have gotten most of their stockholders living on or near the Gulf Coast, Florida, and Cali....
Yes, you're right about crazy winters; and you know, Upstate NY, to the south of us, sometimes has even more snow than we do: the Lake effect, and so forth. Buffalo has got the effects of both Lakes Erie and Ontario.
Blessings.
