New Jerusalem

You do note 1500 miles reaches into space as well don't you?
Yes, that gives them the mineral rights and the air space. Even as you say the satellites. They have already tested jamming satellites or even knocking them out of their orbit. But they say there is already a lot of junk out there from satellites that have exploded. During Desert Storm they did very good with their anti ballistic missiles that were developed under Reagon.

Luke 23:41-43 I believe the thief knowing he was a sinner and with his physical death approaching finally recognized the need to repent as I would only assume he heard Jesus speak to the multitudes and so did repent before his death so that when Jesus returns he too will be part of the Bride. This is why he asked Jesus to remember him in paradise. Kind of like a death bed confession.

2 Corinthians 12:1-4 Paul says he will come to visions and revelations and did not know if this man was in or out of his body. I believe the meaning is that this man was not actually in heaven (paradise), but in the Spiritual realm right where he sat as seeing a vision of paradise and hearing the Holy Spirit speak to him. I know when I am one on one with the Holy Spirit he speaks to me sometimes with visions and sometimes revelations.

I feel where God is at in the third heaven can be as what Jerusalem was at one time being a place where the presence of God filled the actual Temple. God fills His Temple in Heaven with His Shekinah glory as God is never changing and when Jesus returns and the New Jerusalem (I don't believe it is literal as in a city made with hands) is ushered down to a new purified heaven and earth God will also fill the temple as God and Jesus are the temple made without hands and the brightness of the Shekinah glory means there will be no more darkness of night anymore.

I also feel the New Jerusalem could be the Garden of Eden as scripture is silent on whatever happen to it from the time Adam was evicted, Genesis 3:24, and the Cherubim who God sat at the Eastern gates are probably still guarding the entrance as no one has ever found it nor will they ever.

The Eastern Gate has been sealed off by the Turks since the1500's and has never been opened again. Scripture speaks of Jesus who entered in and out of it while here on earth and will again enter the Eastern Gate, or as it is sometimes called the Golden gate, when He returns to fight the final battle. According to Luke 21:5, 6 Jesus was speaking about God destroying the Temple as there will not be left one stone upon another during the time of Gods great wrath and in Rev 21:9-27 John is given the vision of the New Jerusalem as the temple is God and Jesus and there will need not be any sun as the Shekinah glory will be our light.

Ref scriptures: Ezekiel 43:1-4; 44:1-3; Zechariah 14:3, 4; Matthew 21:1-5; Acts 1:10-12; Rev 21:9-27

(Side note):
Zechariah 14:3,4 speaks of Jesus coming down to plant His feet on the Mount of Olives that faces the east of Jerusalem and will cause the mountain to split in half from east to west making a very large valley. I never thought of this before, but it could be that valley is the Garden of Eden that has laid under ground all these years. Something to think about.
Hi FHG,

I agree that the New Jerusalem is described symbolically. One good example is of Jesus` authority (throne) there as a King priest. The gemstones in Rev. 4: are a jasper and sardius which are on the High Priest`s breast plate. In Rev. 21: 19 & 20 we read of the 12 gemstones on the HighPriest`s breastplate. Jesus is the High Priest, so let us look at what these gemstones represent.

Christ the Conqueror.

Jasper – Naphtali - `Conqueror.`
Sapphire – Simeon – `voice of God.`
Chalcedony – Zebulon - `dwelling.`

Christ the conqueror, is the voice of God dwelling with His people.

Christ the KingPriest.

Emerald – Reuben - `first born, Heir.`
Sardonyx – Asher - `blessing, Priest.`
Sardius – Judah - `King, ruler.`

Christ the first born and heir rules as KingPriest giving spiritual blessings.

Christ the Judge.

Chrysolite – Gad - `administers judgments with justice.`
Beryl – Dan. - `Judge.`
Topaz – Issachar - `wisdom.`

Christ the wise Judge who administers judgments with justice.

Christ at the Father`s Right Hand.

Chrysoprase – Manassah –`forgiveness`
Jacinth – Ephraim - `doubly fruitful.`
Amethyst – Benjamin - `At the right hand of the Father.`

Christ at the Father`s right hand gives forgiveness & blessing.

(The Stones – Ex: 28: 17 – 21, The Tribes – Num. 10: 14 – 27, The Meanings – Gen. 29: 32, 30: 1 – 24, 35: 18)

This is interesting as I have never seen this before. Do you have a source for this as I would like to read it.

Thank you FHG. Glad you like it too. I put it together as I love to study the tabernacle and how it relates to the Lord.
I bought a little book (These are the Garments by C.W. Slemming) many years ago which was a study of the High Priest`s garments On the breastplate of the High Priest are the twelve gemstones. He connects the gemstones with the tribes of Israel. I then went a step further and related them to the Lord.

`And the stones shall have the names of the sons of Israel, twelve according to their names, like the engravings of a signet, each one with its own name; they shall be according to the twelve tribes. ` (Ex. 28: 21)

I think that the new Jerusalem could very well be the perfected Church:

Rev 21:2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. (ESV)

The Church is sometimes referred to as the Bride of Christ:

Eph 5:31 “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.”
Eph 5:32 This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church. (ESV)

Rev 19:7 Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready;
Rev 19:8 it was granted her to clothe herself with fine linen, bright and pure”— for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints.
Rev 19:9 And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.” (ESV)
Rev 21:9 Then came one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues and spoke to me, saying, “Come, I will show you the Bride, the wife of the Lamb.”
Rev 21:10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great, high mountain, and showed me the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God, (ESV)

People are very good at that. Everything in the temple has meaning. People talk about the literal Bible but that is not what God wants from us. King David expressed the idea that God values obedience and a sincere heart over ritualistic animal sacrifices. In Psalm 40:6, he says, "Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but my ears You have opened. Burnt offerings and sin offerings You did not require." This suggests that God prioritizes faith and righteousness over external rituals.

The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name.

Twice given and those who overcome and that City are spoken of as two different things.

8By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. 9By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. 10For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God.

I think that the new Jerusalem could very well be the perfected Church:
The perfected Church is the Bride of Christ by the grace of God and having faith in Christ Jesus as being the head of His Church (body of Christ), Ephesians 2:8-10, that Jesus comes back for on the last day, John 5:28-29; 1Corinthians 15:51-58; 1Thessalonians 4:13-18. They are those who have made themselves ready as they have overcome everything this world could do to them trying to steal their faith, 1Peter 5:8.

Rev 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Once we are caught up to Christ and all things are finished after final judgement God will renew the heaven and the Earth in what scripture says ushering down the new Jerusalem. In my own eyes I see this as being the garden of Eden in how God wanted it to be as in the beginning as we dwell with God and Christ Jesus for all eternity.

2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
2Pe 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
2Pe 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
2Pe 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Rev 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Rev 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

The Government of the City - Kings.

The Gates - the Inheritance - access to the city.

`Also she had a great and high wall with 12 gates, and 12 angels at the gates, and names written on them,
which are the names of the 12 tribes of Israel: three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west. (Rev. 21: 12 & 13)

Gates are the entrance to a city and give access to what is within. These represent where the wise men and councilors of the city would sit to rule and give judgment of cases. The 12 tribes are represented there with their covering angels. This is the promised inheritance to Israel - a heavenly city.

`they all died in faith, not having received the promises.... Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God,
for He has prepared a city for them.`(Heb. 11: 9, 10 & 16)

The Walls - the Kings. Protection and Security.

Walls are for protection and here they represent Christ`s government ruling in the city.

`Now the wall of the city had 12 foundations, and on them were the 12 apostles of the Lamb.`(Rev. 21: 14)

The 12 apostles were promised rulership over the 12 tribes of Israel. Their rulership is under Christ, so it is just and righteous. Thrones symbolise rulership - kings.

` you who have followed me will also sit on 12 thrones, judging the 12 tribes of Israel.` (Matt. 19: 28)

The City - The Covenant: faith in God.

`And he who talked with me had a gold reed to measure the city,....` (Rev. 21: 15)

The `gold reed,` speaks of faith in what God has promised. These people believed that God would take them to this city in the heavenlies. The shape is that of the Holy of Holies and is the place where God dwells by His Spirit and speaks to His people.

` And the city is laid out as a square and its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the reed;
12 thousand furlongs. Its length, breadth, and height are equal.` (Rev. 21: 16)

Furlongsa fixed measurement - fig. a covenant. (Gk. `stao,`)

The Government of the City - Priests.

The Priesthood - l44 cubits of the wall.

` Then he measured its wall: 144 cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel.` (Rev. 21: 17)

This foundation of God`s government is the 12 apostles, kings ruling. Then we read of the Priesthood with them. They are symbolised by the `144 cubits.` This is what God promised to Israel.

` And you shall be to me a kingdom of Priests and a holy nation.` (Ex. 19: 6)

These Priests are revealed to us when God sealed them at the beginning of the tribulation.
They came from every tribe in Israel, 12 x 12 = 144,000.

`Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.
And I heard the number of those who were sealed. 144,000 of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed.`
(Rev. 14: 1 – 5)

These 144,000 Priests are also shown with the Lord on Mount Zion.

`Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion and with Him 144,000, having His Father`s name written on their foreheads.` (Rev. 14: 1)

These 144,000 are described as priests. They have followed the Lamb and not false religions, or idols etc. They are pure, symbolised by being `virgins.`

` These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes.` (Rev. 14: 4)

The walls, the government in this city, is of the Lord. This is symbolised by `jasper, gold and clear glass`. All of which are found in relation to the Lord and His throne. (Rev. 4: 3 - 6)

`And the construction of its walls was of jasper, and the city was pure gold, like clear glass.`(Rev. 21: 18)

I've had many visions and revelations as many things I read in scripture plays like a movie in my head that are surreal to me.
In the dream I had about my daughter she had many gifts. I cannot remember exact but between 40 and 60. They were advanced heavenly gifts, better than the toys they are given here on earth. But she never took them out of the box to play with them. So I asked why and I was told that they were gifts from relatives so that she would remember them when they came to visit with her. In fact she asked the angel why I did not bring her a gift. That was when the angel told her I was her father. Then all of her friends got excited because that is their greatest hope is that their parents will make to heaven and be united with them there.

Thank you for all of this. Below are just some highlights of how beautiful and safe the new Jerusalem will be for all those who will have inherited entrance into the city of God as there will be no more abominations within the city.

Rev 21:22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
Rev 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

Rev 21:25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.

These 144,000 are described as priests. They have followed the Lamb and not false religions, or idols etc. They are pure, symbolised by being `virgins.`
These servants are the generational 144,000 from the twelve tribes of Israel, except for the tribe of Dan and Ephraim as they fell to idol worship and allowed God to be removed from them, Judges 18:30; 1 Kings12:25-33; Hosea 5:9, 11;Psalms 78:9-17, 65-67. To keep it twelve tribes since Dan and Ephraim are not mentioned in vs. 4-8 the tribe of Joseph appears twice, once under his own name and once under the name of his son Issachar/Manasseh. Judah is mentioned first as Messiah was to come from the lineage of David.

This is the importance of the 144,000 of the house of Israel and their generations unto the end of days. There were those of the old covenant that were faithful to God in keeping all his commandments and repented of their idol worshiping. Their generations who have also come back to Gods grace that are still alive during the seven trumpet sounds will continue to preach to the Jews as it was with the twelve disciples in Matthew 10:6. The generations of the 144,000 that are still alive have the seal of God on them which are the seven Spirits of God as they will have to endure much persecution until the end of days before the return of Jesus.
(Seven Spirits of God are found in Isaiah 11:2 and mentioned in Rev 1:4. Spirit of the Lord, wisdom, understanding, counsel, power, knowledge and fear/respect of the Lord.)
