Nun Going To Jail

Really farouk no one has said that. We here in the west have been blessed with freedom to demonstrate protest etc. we should do so with in the laws...or pay the penalty. Some laws needed a push or 2 to get changed. A war for another. I doubt he lady will do hard time i pray the Lord uses her with in the prison walls
Exactly....

I think anyone connected with the security of that facility should at the very least lose their jobs. Those protesters exposed a weakness that our enemies will no doubt exploit.

Kinda makes you wonder....
.

I agree reba.
And Eugene' sometimes you have to step out and do a act called interposition for the people, look at the Bible there were plenty of radicals in there. God does not expect us to be wimps about everything. Just like abortions some Christians have stepped up to the plate' and went to jail for it or executed. Now who is wrong them' or the earthly powers that be ?
Hey, you made me look up a word I didn't know; I like that. In that case it would make sense to put barricades on all major city roads to halt autos from contributing to climate change, kill all bovines due to their excessive flatulence also contributing to global warming.

Now with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were no different than us, and they did make a stand for what they believed, but that doesn't change the fact that God puts those leaders over us for our good. They paid the price of their disobedience, but God stood with them in the fire; they were making a stand for God. Will God do that for this nun, and then promote her over cities for her righteousness? And brother I'm just pulling your leg, but many times we direct our actions without God's instruction. :poke

I think that a country with any kind of government, whether it's a dictatorship or a liberal democracy, would need laws to protect establishments such as a uranium facility from criminal damage. Any government, of whatever complexion, is virtually obliged to prosecute those who cause criminal damage to such a sensitive establishment.

2c...

But these are first time offenders' and damage was small about 1000 bucks. But they can partially pull a baby out of a womb and stick a probe in the base of the skull' and not go to jail.

what if she caused a melt down and harmed others? and many died and got sick? would she still be a hero. any form of power damages the earth. wind power, kills birds and copper mining is done by strip mining and so is the case with silicone and solar power.

Sorry for being ignorant, but what is wrong with it being there?

Some people are opposed to the use of nuclear power in general because of the dangers that come from radioactive materials. Or, since it was a government facility, they may have protested military use of radioactive material (for example in atomic bombs), or wanted to show the risks connected to a poor security system.

The fact that the facility was manufacturing ENRICHED uranium seems to an issue here. As enriched uranium's most widely known use is in nuclear arms.***SEE footnote
Maybe she was acting as a conscientious objector. All these what ifs. What if she caused a melt down? By throwing paint and cutting a fence? Just how badly run down is this place? Hope the wind doesn't get over 20 knots, might be another 3 mile island.
Just playing with ya Jason, I know where you're coming from mate and sort of agree. Not totally but sot of

(Yes I know that the arms race is over..no one can legally develop them any more...except Unky Sam and a few of his buddies..for deeeee-fence of course)

Russia hasn't changed. otherwise the Ukraine wouldn't be going through what they are now.all it would take for the local plant to meltdown is for someone to block the intake pipe. that could be done at night with a large rock or cement fixture. the guards wouldn't see you and within minutes the reactors would meltdown.

Yes all she did was cut a few fences and use paint' she was not trying to break into the building.

lewis if that was your house, would you feel that way? no, you wouldn't. in a time of disaster and it was a hurricane and I saw that she would have been shot first then arrested. its part of the roe that is briefed yearly. if during the time of a disaster and the guard is called in, shooting a person for breaking into a hospital, sewer plant and water plant, electric plant and I believe that would entail that type of response.

Jason' I get that my dear brother' but the thing is' it was not my or your house. She was making a statement' and many times you have to go against the grain to do so.
