Once Saved, Always Saved?

Also we see Hosea 4:6 & Dan. 12:4 to add to our CONDITIONAL Salvation Responsibility!
Honest doubt - in what way does unconditional salvation deny responsibility for one's sins?

And to clarify again - what is the condition that God seeks in us for us to merit salvation? And what role does His grace have to play in it?

While you're at it, explain what according to you is the Law - the law of works. And why it was given to mankind?

Sorry for all these qns - I'm not trying to argue/dispute - I want to know what your framework of beliefs is...thank you.

I believe that WHEN CHRIST COMES, He brings His REWARD with Him. Then, it is FINISHED, it is then & ONLY THEN, that 'i' BELIEVE IN OSAS!;)

The truth of Justification that brings peace with God is foundational and is the Doorway to Grace.

The Sanctification of the Spirit in the working of Grace giving the hope of glory is developmental.

The Tribulations and Suffering that accompany the working of Grace, keeping our eyes on the prize of the high calling of God in the priesthood of Jesus is perfecting/maturing, preparing us to die in faith, die in the Lord, waiting for his appearing and the redemption of the Body, the hope of Israel, to enter in with Jesus in his everlasting priesthood under the principles of Melchisedec.

In the epistle of 1 John, in chapter 2, it is called: childhood and forgiveness, youth and victory over the wicked one, parenthood and being known of him who was from the beginning.

This three-fold salvation of God in his grace is presented by Peter, John and Paul in distinctly different forms of human speech, but in the unity of the Spirit. Each begin with the blood of Jesus and finish/mature with the ministration of the Spirit. James begins with sanctification and its accompanying tribulations and finishes with maturity as a human ministry in the social fabric of life, as it relates to the poor and widows and orphans and the sick. The history of Paul shaving his head at the request of James gives us to see the place for the ministry of James. James also gave his approval of Paul's ministry.

Let us accept each other in Jesus Christ our Lord, which ever one of the streams of revelation by which the Lord has gathered us unto himself. Let us not forbid and not condemn or ridicule. Let us each witness to the grace that God has revealed to us and wait for the angels to separate the wheat from the tares, the good fish from the bad fish.

But its been very quiet since I asked that question :) !

Oh trust me. I am sure you know it by now that he will not leave it alone.

As you pointed out, the word "The" before "faith" is the definite article. It therefore is speaking not of faith in general, but a very specific faith, one that Paul was very intimately aware of.

He uses this argument for himself. It is one that cannot be left without some serious chopping of the text. It is quiet for now, but soon enough he will try to say something against it. We must always be careful to only stay within our own humility and not think we stand on anything human words we utter.

That would be the end for sure. The salvation of our souls, when the promised hope is given to us.

Col 1:3-23 We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love that you have for all the saints, because of the hope laid up for you in heaven. Of this you have heard before in the word of the truth, the gospel,...And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, He has now reconciled in His body of flesh by His death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before Him, if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, became a minister.

Jud 1:3-4 Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints. For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

Note: They do not deny Jesus the Christ. They deny the Master and Lord. Now in doing so, they deny Jesus the Christ, but they deny Him first as Master and Lord. Instead they desire to take the 'grace' of God and pervert it into 'covering' whatever they want it to 'cover', or do whatever they want it to do. Grace is not provided for a title, it is provided for the power of transformation in the life which it is given too. The perversion of grace deems one as 'locked' in and nothing keeping them from walking away....not even denial of the Lord and Master that bought them.

For by Grace ye have been saved !

In both eph 2:5 and vs 8 Paul writes to the believers, that they have been saved by Grace, and both times He uses the perfect tense for saved, denoting something done in past time with results into the future. In fact, in eph 2 5 Paul says by grace are ye being saved, that is they are in a continual state of being saved..That means, being converted that puts them in a continual process of being conformed unto the Image of the Son of God...
