I was just talking to my oldest, she's the one who used to live in Ocala, about this thread and the Spanish style homes.
She told me about this house on Keywest. It was built in 1928. I thought I'd just throw it in here seeing it's kind of related to your area, Jason and because I love it. Some of the inside colors are a little over the top for me but that's nothing.

that isn't a Spanish revival. we have a few homes like that. I know one about as old on riomar dr. it was built near that time. that home you posted would fit in that area or anywhere on the beach

I will venture more into fort pierce when I got to drill and also to st.lucie village near ft.capron. that is the oldest of the area. it will not be a Spanish revival, I have never been there and its not far.

No it's not Spanish style, I just like it. :) It's more of beach cottage with Victorian overtones.
google henry flagler and his hotels.
This man spent a lot of time and money building up areas Florida from basically nothing. He was a visionary.

This is another sad.I have seen druggies, prostitutes in the parking area.they were gone before I could call the cops.yet it has a feeling.I'm beat up.yet the sun shines on me today.View attachment 7007

Beautiful structure!

That would be a house originally here, and not an apartment. So sad to see these structures go into disrepair.

I like the open air feel to the house!

I'm with you that some of the inside colors are a little over the top ... I could see entirely different wall colors!

I'm not an earth-tone sort of person, but that's just me. I've had to repaint interior walls prior to putting homes on the market, taking them to attractive but neutral colors to appeal to buyers.

I may with my cell phone snap some wall pics of my home. im surprised my wife hasn't had the same interest in the Spanish revival. nor been influenced by since both are southwestern in influence. she likes terra cotta. the Spanish used that all over. some of these places should remind you all of the Alamo. especially the grenada apartments, my now avatar(rhyburn apartments), and a few others I have yet to post.

It's interesting in that one of my three offspring prefers earth tones (i.e., the terra cotta range of colors) ... the other two prefer lighter shades of colors I prefer. (And currently, all 3 of them have vehicles of the same color as mine) Go figure!

I haven't posted the repainted neon pink ones, dark blue ones or well the royal Viking inn is different with its lime green and dark green tiles, It was orange/red tiles with terra cotta orange that turns pink.
