Satan,Sin, Angels, Man

In verse 16 it says "Is this the man" what does it mean by that, Is Satan a man?
Satan as Lucifer, was also called "a man" in the O.T.

The devil and his messengers can take the term man or woman in the scriptures because they do access the flesh. Jesus shows us this principle, here, among many places:

Luke 11:24
When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.

It is Satan who is the "man" of sin. Also the "son" of perdition.

Matthew 10:36
And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say smaller, those two verses don't seem to explain who or what Satan is.

Satan is depicted primarily by allegories/parables/similitude in the scriptures. If believers are not familiar with that particular aspect of scripture they will struggle.

Satan, in short, is the tempter, the deceiver, the destroyer, the wicked one, the enemy of God in Christ, an anti-Christ spirit, as are his own.

Revelation 16:
13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

Oh ok, and what were those other verses you used. How do they relate, can anything relate to subject matter?

How are you trying to define relate? The matters being discussed are perceptions of The Spirit of Truth. These are not physically tangible materials being discussed.

All of Gods Words revolve around two basic dynamics. Gods Love, and the opposition, evil. None of which will appear as tangibles. In the physical world we are seeing, daily, the after effects of the basic dynamic/drivers, which are internal.

The Word for example is written on pages, but Spiritually, the Word is in "our heart."

Romans 10:8
But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

In verse 16 it says "Is this the man" what does it mean by that, Is Satan a man?
It appears to me that the King of Babylon is being compared with the fall of Lucifer. Verse 15 is Lucifer's fall and V.16 is the King of Babylon's fall, thus the man.

So Christians based the fall of Satan on those few verses.

It wasn't a half bad overall account til I got to the above. Maybe some revisions are in order?

Eph. 4:
4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

God is above all who are made righteous in Him. God is through all who have faith in Him. God is in all who has the Holy Spirit dwelling in them.
There needs to be no revisions in Gods spoken word as it is never changing, but man sure loves to twist it and manipulate it as they teach with a carnal mind and traditional teaching of man. Scripture speaks for itself in all truths.

Genesis 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
Genesis 6:6 and it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth and it grieved him at his heart.
Genesis 6:7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
Genesis 6:8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

Genesis 9:11 And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth. (There will never be a great flood again and if you study the seven trumpets this is Gods wrath against this world as He destroys this land once again, but will restore it in the end for the new heaven and new earth will be made renewed again in order for the New Jerusalem to be ushered down.) Please do not make this a study on the trumpet calls as that is another topic.

2Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Hosea 4:7 as they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame.

There needs to be no revisions in Gods spoken word

Never said there was.

If you read the "claim" being addressed:

"God has cut himself off from the world because of Satan’s reign of deceit and lies"

I rejected that notion by scripture citing. God hasn't gone away or cut Himself off from the world. The opposite is the case. God is fully involved with His creation at all times. Cited one scripture pertaining to us prior if you read it. Here's another showing the same thing, perhaps on a more universal scale:

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

My Dear Sister FHG. That is a wonderful assessment of that old slew foot snake. I decided not to call you "Glory Girl" because you might not like that. I'll be a bit more formal befitting your wisdom and knowledge. It seemed that I was convicted not to call you something you might not like.

I'd like to know where you got the information in your first four paragraphs. It certainly is interesting.

My ole friend Chopper I like the "Glory Girl" as all my glory goes to God for what He has done for me. There was a place I worked at many years ago and I was dubbed "Church lady" because I was always witnessing to someone.

Everything I write is straight from scripture as I compare scripture with scripture, OT to NT using the KJV and Strong's Exhausted Concordance for the Hebrew and Greek meaning of certain words I do not understand. The Holy Spirit gives me the words to write as I could never write from mine own doing. Collective years of studying my friend.

Why thank you Glory Girl. I simply love your posts and look forward to what you have to say and teach....When I stop wanting to be taught Truth from someone like yourself, I'll probably be "dead in the head."

In verse 16 it says "Is this the man" what does it mean by that, Is Satan a man?
Lucifer became an adversary of God (Satan means adversary) he was in the mountain of God and perfect in his creation and ways by God. He was given the position of overseer of all that God created (Ezek. 28: 11-19) and could walk to and fro in the Mountain of God (fellowship). After being over all that God created , sin (pride of self over God's will) He was cast down or out as overseer of all that God created. The mention of man is a similitude of the same that God did for man. In the beginning of the creation (of what I think is a recreation of the earth after Lucifer's fall) (This is not a doctrine, this is something I think might have happened). God gave man dominion over all that God created, and through the influence of Satan, man wanted to be independent of God (Gen. 3:4-6). And through sin Man lost dominion of the earth to Satan. That is why (Isa. 14:12-17) is written as one event. It is a dual and similitude of the result of sin against God. It was pride above God's will that corrupted both, bringing the same result. The difference is that man was given a temporary body, that would, after testing, could qualify for a glorified body and Holy eternal state, by grace through Faith.

I direct you back to your post #26 where you said: Maybe some revisions are in order? How can one revise what God has already spoken.
God has cut himself off from the unrighteous as even the blood sacrifice before Christ seemed to not be enough as man continued to transgress against God as they followed after their own hearts desire being tempted to follow after other gods. This is why the word of God was made flesh in that of His son Christ Jesus to walk among us teaching us of Gods grace that we can reconcile ourselves back to God who will then hear the voice of His children who have repented and walk in faith. Christ came for the unrighteous, not the righteous as God can not look upon sin, John 9:31. In Matthew 27:46 God did not forsake Jesus, it was the sin that Jesus was taking upon himself as being the final blood sacrifice for all that God had to turn away for a moment as again God can not look upon sin. God is not cut off from those who are Spiritually born again, but is cut off from those who have rejected Him.

So does Satan have a body or not.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say smaller, those two verses don't seem to explain who or what Satan is.

Satan has always challenged the authority of God through counterfeiting everything God does. He uses his angels (demons) to help accomplish his goals by deceiving the minds of those without knowledge and truth of Gods word. This is why bad things, even death, happen to people who seem on the outside to be good people, but void of God on the inside. Satan is the father of lies and can transform himself into anything he chooses like the serpent in the Garden of Eden and an angel of light that deceives the world. Satan was a created spirit without form so in order for him to deceive the nations he has to use something of substance to accomplish this and this is why it is so important to learn how to discern the spirits that are out there whether they be of God or of Satan as his spirit can enter into anyone he chooses if they are not of God,

2Peter Chapter 2; John 8:44; Genesis 3:4,5; 2Corinthians 11:14,15

Satan is a counterfeiter with his own church, trinity, doctrine and supernatural powers. He is an imitator of God in every way, but his ways are that of an evil purpose to separate man from the love of God as he uses those in his ministry to deceive even the very elect of God. Many people are being deceived and drawn into these type of ministries and occults because they lack the knowledge of Gods word and believe the blasphemies that come out of mans mouth for their words sound good to the ear, but deceives the very soul of a person by drawing them away from all truths of the word of God. Satan can go as far as raising the dead, healing the sick and giving materialistic things to those in need, but the difference here is that the things he performs are only temporal to deceive and draw others into his evil kingdom that will perish in the lake of fire that is made for him and his demons.

Jude 1:4; Hosea 4:6,7; James 1:27

It sounds like such a headache.

It sounds like such a headache.
It's always confusing to the unlearned mind as much of Gods word made no sense to me in the beginning of my search. It's those first steps like yours that questions certain things, that is seeking understanding and that is a good thing. This is why it is called having a personal relationship with Jesus as being your friend. The more that friendship escalates the more you will learn about him. It's like the friendships we make here on earth that at first we know nothing much about each other until we let that friendship grow. Just keep seeking and asking questions as you will eventually grow into the knowledge of who Jesus is and why we need him.
