:-) The missionary humbles him or herself, and realizes that
it is much more of a blessing to give. The secular believes it's best
to recieve more than to give.
The child of God realizes it's more blessed to let Jesus live in them
and live for Jesus than for this world.
One is humble, the other is puffed up with false pride like the hot air
in a balloon. Thats the great gap between the christian and the secular.

Honestly, blueeyeliner, that is extremely insulting. I'm reporting this.

Blue, I ask you before to please stop flaming other members. You can't insult others into believing like you do.
So if you can't contribute to this debate without insults, then please resist the urge to reply.

The other times I have ask you to stop flaming others was just a friendly warning. But now it is your first warning! So please lets get back to the topic.

Rule 2 - No Flaming:
You will not post any messages that harass, insult, belittle, threaten or flame another member or guest. This will include misquoting another member out of context. You may discuss another member's beliefs but there will be no personal attacks on the member himself or herself. This includes implied accusations that another member is not a Christian.

8-) Judy, are you saying that asimov can freely insult christians?
Why haven't you warned him yet?
Who are we suppose to defend here?
That wasn't an insult. I have been secular and I know what the secular
life is like. A missionary does humble his or herself, and they even risk
their lives. If thats an insult then what about the things asimov says?

Don't worry about what is happening to Asimov, just worry about yourself.
Just because you are a christian doesn't give you the right to insult other members here.
The rules on this site apply to us all. You should check them out and pay attention to #5... http://www.christianforums.net/viewtopic.php?t=9219

8-) I have rights too Judy.
asimov insulting God is no way to make peace with the christians here.

Let's get back to the topic and drop this.

8-) O.K. Judy. I will do that.
I obviously didn't realize that I
was out of control at the time.

believe

[quote="blueeyeliner]
 O.K? Believe what you wish. There are just no facts to back
up your story. The idea of evolution is just alot of propaganda for those
that don't want to be christians, and who don't want to live the christian
life.
You're on the right track but somehow you've gotten it backwards. The propaganda is from creationists that don' want to accept the truth that the bible is not a science book. Evolution is accepted as fact by about 98% of all scientists that know anything about evolution. That includes all faiths and no faiths. This isn't a litmus test for Christianity although only Christians are denying evolution.

I don't want to insult any person by telling them that I know they
actually believe in evolution. I know they just use it to feed their agenda.
No person could seriously believe evolution if they have done the research
into it,amen.
Its the other way around. If you actually saw the evidence you would close your bible and walk away. There is nothing to be gained by scientists lying about evolution. IF Christianity is true and the scientists know that it is true they know that they can't hide and ultimately will be found out. To believe that there is this great conspiracy to hide the truth is being paranoid. In order for you to believe in creationism you have to bury your head in the sand and ignore what is in front of you because there is nothing except one book with countless contradictions, errors, written by countless unknown authors and copied countless times, interpreted over and over and its leaders are constantly telling its followers that what is written doesn not mean what is written and you have to know this or that have this or that or belong to this or that to understand it.

I spent 14 years being bombarded with evolutionary theory in school.

I have spent 55 years on this earth with radio, television, museums, magazines, and books presenting evolution as truth and "science" as religion.

I have looked at the evidence and rejected the prevailing world view in favor of opening my bible.

I am not going to close my bible. ;-)

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Yep, that is how it was... :D

Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Yep, and this is the way it is.

8-) Bibleberean,I agree with you 100%. I am still very young,yet
with all my research,I know that you must be correct in what you are
saying. Many people say they are educated here, yet they don't know
what the letters CNA mean?
Many don't even know that I'm not just a home school teacher.
bibleberean, please keep up the most excellent work that
you are doing to help others be saved. God is indeed smiling
upon you,amen & amen.

Berean....Evolution states nothing about the origins of the universe, nor about God. It's a biological process.

8-) Asimov, thats not true. Evolution claims to have connections
with biology, yet biology makes no claims to evolution.
Henry Morris just wrote another book. As soon as I find it,I'll tell you
about it. It's very hard to argue with the experts.

If its very hard to argue with the experts then why do you? Here is a link that explains the common misconceptions that are believed especially by theists.
"One common mistake is believing that species can be arranged on an evolutionary ladder from bacteria through "lower" animals, to "higher" animals and, finally, up to man."
"Evolution is a change in the gene pool of a population over time. A gene is a hereditary unit that can be passed on unaltered for many generations."
