The first three questions are based on your worthless strawman.
We DON'T see stars that are more than a million lightyears away, at least not with the mk 1 eyeball. At that distance they just become part of the blob of the galaxy they're in. Almost all of the stars you see in the sky are several thousand LY away. Some stars are older than the moon, but it has absolutely nothing at ALL to do with the distance they have from us.

Dating stars is usually done with a spectroscope. You find out the ratio of H/He in the star and compare it against that of a Nebula, look at its size and some other properties and you can get enough information to make a good estimate.
You do realize what a supernovae is don't you?

You're right. From my understanding if you're infected then you will always be infected. However, you can treat it and control it and make it less painful or noticeable, but you are still infected and can pass on the infection.
