Seriously.. whom is the tribulation actually for.

More broadly.. biblical history can be divided into two periods, roughly following the division of Old and New Testaments..

if we have a preterism forum do we not also have or need a futurist forum. seems fair to me. and im not a futurist but a partial preterist.

That would translate to partial futurist.

Agreed.... when the trump sounds the dead rises first then we which are alive meet them in the air! Can't wait for the Blessed Hope!!! amen!

1 Thess.4:16-17
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. God Bless Rich

That's scripture.

Amen

A part of my understanding of the Church Age began at Pentecost and ends with Rev 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Act 15:14 God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.

Rom 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

You mean those are the ones who go through the tribulation?

Sooo....to answer the OP.The tribulation is for the unbelievers.

13 Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, "Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?" 14 And I said to him, "Sir, you know." So he said to me, "These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Revelation 7:13-14

These believers who came out of the great tribulation...

They washed their robes in the blood of The Lamb

The believers who came out of the great tribulation are the ones who went into it as nonbelievers. There will be a huge mulititude who will come to Christ during the tribulation. The Holy Spirit will be on the earth during the tribulation.

Church age is not a biblical term.. I remember finding out heavenly language was not a Biblical term.. :neutral
Neither is the Old Testament & the New Testament, or for that matter are the chapters, verses, and other divisions of scripture we apply to God's word.

Dear Sister Kathi, as to divisions of saints in the resurrection I apply the judgment told us in Chapters Two and Three of the book of Revelation. When was John shown the different groups of the saints in heaven? It was from the perspective of the Lord's Day beginning with the viewpoint of Rev 4:1 when Jesus says "Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. When is hereafter? It is that yet future point in time when Jesus takes His own throne in Rev 4:2. There are some with Jesus in Rev 4:4 & Rev 4:6 prior to the tribulation beginning; they will be the bride. There are the great multitude come out of great tribulation of Rev 7:9, and lastly the 144,000 of Rev 14:1.

Well what about the description of the seven churches? From the future Lord's Day told us in Rev 1:10, John was given three viewpoints to write of in Rev 1:19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter. The problem I see in much interpretation is attempting to apply something John was shown from his backward view to an event which was to be hereafter. :shrug

Seriously.. whom is the tribulation actually for.

Jesus literally tells us ...

Mat 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Mat 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
Mat 24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
Mat 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Mat 24:25 Behold, I have told you before.
Mat 24:26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
Mat 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Mat 24:28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
Mat 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
Mat 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Mat 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Mat 24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
Mat 24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
Mat 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

Yeah, it's got to all be over; all that's left is knocking on heaven's door. :rollingpin

Luk 21:20 `And when ye may see Jerusalem surrounded by encampments, then know that come nigh did her desolation;
Luk 21:21 then those in Judea, let them flee to the mountains; and those in her midst, let them depart out; and those in the countries, let them not come in to her;
Luk 21:22 because these are days of vengeance, to fulfil all things that have been written.
