Please don’t say such things as Cain is a son of God, when the Bible says he is the son of Adam (man).

I have already pointed out that because the Bible refers to men as sons of God, that the question is irrelevant. Even apart from that, both of you are presuming a certain meaning of “son of God” which may not be true.

Ultimately, we cannot say for certain who the sons of God were in Gen. 6:4. However, both the weight of the evidence and reason strongly support the notion that they were human men, likely of the line of Seth.

The way Nephilim came about is when the sons of God came into the daughters of men.


There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.

Again, grammatically speaking, the Nephilim could have already been around. I know you badly want the passage to say certain things, but the language does allow for other legitimate interpretations.

Since all the “men” were wiped out in the flood, it’s obvious that the only way for Nephilim to be produced afterward were the sons of God we’re not human, but angelic.

Not at all. Not only is there no biblical evidence that angels can reproduce, never mind reproduce with humans, Jesus suggests that it isn’t possible.

It is quite the suggestion that angels—created beings—are able to not only appear human of their own accord (something Scripture is silent on), they are able to create the entire human reproductive system within themselves in order to engage in human sexual relations. Not only that, their DNA also happens to be compatible with humans which allows them to procreate.

The entire enterprise is just unreasonable to believe and has little to no biblical support.

I’m sorry but you have left the teaching of the scriptures here and have just made up your own theology.

This subject however is not one that concerns salvation, so I will leave you with your perspective.

My belief is that the Nephilim giants were produced when the sons of God came into the daughters of men.

As it is written

What was paradise for and who were those saints Jesus preached to when he was crucified ? Was Adam there ? I believe they were the sons of God waiting comfortably on Jesus .. The other bunch were the evil men who had no regard for God .. God knows who belongs to him from the beginning but Jesus had to put things in order first .. Are fallen angels sons of God ? No, they lost the election the instant they got kicked out of heaven .. But none of the angels were ever begotten to be called sons .. That is what a son is , right ?

Then by that same criteria it could be said that the grandson of Adam was a "son of God."

Genesis 4:26

And this is what makes the topic significant, what Jesus said comparing the days of Noah to the end times we feel we need to be prepared to face.

I used to have an NIV. Then the Lord supernaturally changed it to be a NKJV. So...I don't trust the NIV Brother. What about the...they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men? They who? That sure aint talking about an inter racial marriage, lol!

Hi Ed, this is a couple examples why I can't put faith in Enoch
Enoch says giants were 3000 ells = 4500' but they figured that must have been wrong so they cut it to 450'
Enoch says all sin come through Azazel .. Enoch 10:9 , wrong again
Enoch 8:1 says Azazel taught men metal working and all kinds of stuff . Sorry, all knowledge comes from God even though man can corrupt it ..

The bible lists the sizes of giants that are accurate , Enoch lists sizes that are foolishness ..
The spies saw themselves as grasshoppers but Joshua said ''they ain't that big''
Again, I don't care what anyone believes ..

Enoch is clearly in three parts. It's not all or nothing.

No. Jesus was the only begotten Son. Why specify begotten, unless there were also Sons that weren't begotten?

A word study on that passage showed me that a more literal interpretation of it would read...then began men to profane the name of the Lord...

All is not as it seems at first glance.

Or how come none of Seth's family was saved from the flood if they were so holy and godly...?? They don't have an answer for that.

The scripture plainly says Adam was a son of God.

So I agree he was waiting in Abraham’s bosom.

I also believe, Abraham was their, and he is a son of God by faith in the Lord, as well.

He was in covenant relationship with the Lord Jesus, before He became flesh and was the first member of the Church.

This is why paradise was name after him.

Abraham was justified by faith the same way we are, and was looking forward to the cross the way we look back.

Abraham walked in the Spirit and obeyed His voice and left us an example of the pattern of life that pleases the Lord.


This brings us to the obvious next question.

Can a spiritually alive male and female today give birth to a son of God.

Based on this scripture and others, my perspective is no.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
