In post # 926 I gave what the Unitarian Universal Church teaches as you call it Super Hyper-grace so I have no need to repost that again, but to give what God gave to Jesus to teach us through His anointed Prophets and Apostles. I hope you take the time to read and study these scriptures.

What we have here is the heresy of Unitarian Universalism hyper-grace teachings being set before us as I listed in post #926. There is nowhere in scripture that states that all our sins are forgiven, past, present and future and that we never need to repent as that comes against the teachings of Christ in Matthew 4:17; Mark 2:17; Luke 19:10; Acts 2:37, 38; 3:19; 2 Peter 3:9 and so many more scriptures on repentance. Below is what Jesus has taught in all truths, for He can not lie.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Grace does not give us a license to sin, but when we realize we have sinned, as the Holy Spirit will always send conviction, God will always forgive when we repent of that sin. We strive for that perfection that is in Christ that we may be like Him who knew no sin. We will mess up at times as we are not perfect in the flesh, but yet forgiveness is always given, but we have to acknowledge we sinned against God and ask for forgiveness.

The Holy Spirit does indeed convict us of sin, John 16:7-15; Acts 2:37; 2 Corinthians 7:9, 10; Hebrews 10:26-30; 1 John 1:9; Titus 1:9;

A Christian can grieve the Holy Spirit (God's Spirit) when they willingly sin Genesis 6:6; Psalms 78:40; Isaiah 63:10, Ephesians 4:17-32; 1 Thessalonians 5:19; Hebrews 10:26, 27

There are seven things that please God.
1. Have faith in Him - Hebrews 11:6
2. Be Spiritually minded - Romans 8:6-8
3. Fear (respect) God - Psalms 147:11
4. Study and follow follow Jesus - Matthew 17:5
5. Obey God - Hebrews 13:20, 21
6. Do God's will Hebrews 13:20, 21
7. Give the sacrifice God wants - Hebrews 13:15, 16

God has not saved every person in the world, but sent His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall have eternal life, Matthew 9:9-13; John 3:16

The blessings of God are abundant in our life when we are in obedience to God, Matthew 16:24-28; John 10:1-10.

Grace does not give us a license to sin freely as the wages of sin is death, Romans 6:23; Hebrews 10:26, 27

Humility is how we come to the Lord, Proverbs 22:4; 1 Peter 5:6-11

Hi! Thanks for your input, and your site work! Disagreement between believers, regardless of what they know, is common because we all vary in our understanding. But the majority of the time there is agreement in most Biblical issues (esp. the salvation essentials, e.g. faith in Christ's birth as the Son of God, atonement and resurrection, etc.). Concerning the Bible commentator society, I find the least disagreement in their explanations, because each truth has only one meaning and if you take a subject to the maximum of what can be known of it there will only be a difference in the way it is explained (a matter only of semantics), but results with the same understanding of it.

Commentaries are only as good as the paper they are written on by who writes them. Some are spot on lining up with scripture and some are just copies of other commentaries that just sound good to them as they borrow from them for their own commentaries, but yet do not line up with scripture. It's only when we begin to mature in the word of God that we Spiritually discern truth from error. Basically, be careful of what you read and never take someones word for what they believe, but take the scriptures they give and go study them asking the Holy Spirit to reveal truth.

I'm simply saying they understand the Word more than most Bible studying believers. It's only common sense to reason that the more time, prayer and practical application given to the study of God's Word, the more you will understand (all students being equally sincere and genuine in seeking only truth).

1. Confession - Acts 2:21; Romans 10:9, 10

2. Repentance - Mark 1:14, 15

3. Faith - John 3:14-18

4. Regeneration - John 3:3-8

5. Holy Scripture - 2 Timothy 3:15

How one can take the teachings of the Bible and mix it with the Dhammapada and Tao Te-Ching and say scripture is never the only word or final word shows me they are climbing up another way and not by entering the door. Life is not our scripture as scripture is our life that teaches us how to be pleasing unto the Father as we remain in obedience to His will.

These mixtures of religious you are learning from is taking you down a wide path that is only going to lead to your own destruction in God's final judgement. Please heed the words of the Lord and come out from all these other religions that are misleading you. One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism, Ephesians 4:5

You need to go back and read the statement of faith and if you do not agree with it then this is probably not the right forum for you as these teachings of the Unitarian Universal Church have no place here in a faith based Christian forum. By “Universalist” do you mean those people that believe falsely that Everybody is going to make it to Heaven in the end ? I am NOT one of those poor , Bible Ignorant Saps.....
Everybody COULD make it to Heaven—-Jesus, by Himself , did Everything necessary for any body to obtain Salvation......His Shed Blood was Adequate to pay the price for every Sin That was ever committed or shall ever “BE” committed......Yes, Jesus did everything that had to be done to get all of Mankind Saved.......The only thing a Lost,Wretched Sinner like myself or anybody else has to do now is to “ Cash In” on what Jesus had already accomplished 2000 years ago.We “cash in” and thereby become Saved when we Believe Two Things— Jesus died for our sins and rose from the dead......that is the Gospel.....we are are Commanded in Hebrews to REST in this Gospel or we will be declared “ Disobedient and Guilty Of UNBELIEF”. Scary stuff, indeed.......Many Of The “ Obedience Hounds” out there that obsess with “ Do Do This and Don’t Do That” never discuss the biggest Obedience Rule out there—- REST in the Gospel of Paul ( 1Cor15:1-4) , Given to Paul by Jesus personally.
Wanna take a test to see if you are Not Guilty Of “ UNbelief?” If you truly Trust God and Rest in His Promise to Save you if you Simply Believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose from the grave, you will have NO REASON to ever doubt your Salvation again....if you are NOT saved by Trusting the Gospel Alone , That would make God a Liar ....

All we are doing is debating! Yes, we are debating matters that are EXTEMELY Serious, but these issues have been argued about for hundreds of years and neither one of us is ever going to hear from everybody here that we are correct, we have always “ been” correct ,and we all humbly apologize for not recognizing our Biblical Genius Sooner.....

The “ Doctrine Of Christ”, in a fully adequate -to -Save Nutshell would be ( Jesus speaking ) ......... “ Two Things Save You—MY Blood and YOUR Faith”. ( paraphrasing) These Truths For Salvation are the essence of Paul’s Gospel that you are Ordered to REST in........RESTERS “Prove” that they are RESTERS by no Longer worrying about their Eternal Security......they no longer are “ Trying to be Saved” ...... They are True Believers... “ TRUSTING to be Saved by the Finished Work Of the Cross....
Was It not the great man of Faith,Watcman Née, That maintained that the Difference In the two ways of life was the difference between Heaven and Hell.....Gulp! Serious Stuff ...one had better learn how to “ Let go and let God”..... that is what Faith is, and Faith is what Saves.....

Please post the scripture where Paul’s gospel of grace plus nothing can be found.

Gladly ......the first five chapters of Galatians and the Third and Fourth Chapters Of Hebrews ....Some Of the Stiif -Necked Will take away Nothing From Reading these Chapters- they never do.....I don’t post to those types anyway , but Newbies to the Faith.....PLEASE take the time to get an easy to understand Bible and get familiar with what I recommended .....throw off the Shackles Of Legalism and get the “ Abundant Life” Promised to you by Jesus....Become Free Men and women “in Christ”......There ain’t Nothing Better .....

There are five requirements to Salvation

1. Confession - Acts 2:21; Romans 10:9, 10

2. Repentance - Mark 1:14, 15

3. Faith - John 3:14-18

4. Regeneration - John 3:3-8

5. Holy Scripture - 2 Timothy 3:15

There is only ONE “ requirement “ Salvation—— ASK...

“ Anybody that ASKS to be Saved WILL be Saved”
“ Turn to Me and I will turn to you”
“ All that ASK shall receive”
Ask God to Save you.....It’s a GIFT to be Received by Faith Plus Nothing....God will put His Holy Spirit Inside Of you.....He will Transform you From the inside out .....You will “find” yourself being obedient to God ......He-is the “Author and Finisher Of Your Faith” .....God has put the Onus Of your Salvation on HIS shoulders.He has Promised to “ Finish what He Started” ....all that we have to do is to resist the Leaven Of The Legalist and try not to Finish the walk of Faith with a return to the “ weak and useless” Law.....
Did we get the Holy Spirit in us by suddenly becoming able to keep the Law or did we get it by Turning to and Trusting in Jesus ? Finish the way you started.....” The Just shall LIVE by Faith”

Then why did Jesus need to go to the cross and suffer a horrible death if sinning doesn't send a person to hell ?
