Believe means obey.

Obeying His commandments are the definition of love.

We have been through Hebrews 3-4.

Nothing there about "resting in the Gospel of grace"

No where in the bible do we find such a phrase.


Hebrews 3-4 is dealing with departing from Christ through disobedience.

Yes, one can turn from serving Satan and become regenerated through the Spiritual rebirth and indwelled with the Holy Spirit, John 3:5-7, as they are drawn to God's calling them. We were all sinners at one time before coming to Christ and submitting ourselves to Him. Those who turn away from God were never His own to begin with as they only give lip service to the Lord, but truly do not have Him in their heart or else they would not turn away.

To enter into God's rest is to rest from the taskmaster of sin.
If you're still serving sin you're not resting in Christ. You are not saved.

You're getting close.
The problem was not doing works.
The problem was doing works without faith.
Freegrace fixes that problem by getting rid of the works, instead of teaching the faith that produces works.
If you are still living in your old life you do not have the faith that saves that you think you do.
You're just rationalizing your unsaved lifestyle of sin in the name of avoiding a works gospel.

You know if you believe and have entered into God's rest by if you are now at rest from your lifestyle of sin.
Freegrace says that's not true and you can be in God's rest and still live your old lifestyle of sin.

Freegrace doctrine, on the other hand, says you are sinning if you are doing righteous things in your own power and so it is better for you to not do those things. And they call that 'resting in Christ'. This is the point you're failing to see in the Freegrace OSAS

Please allow me to correct this Fallacy in your Confusion about OSAS ..... “ Resting in Christ” refers to Salvation ONLY! Jesus accomplished FOR us at the Cross EVERYTHING that was Necessary for anybody to get Saved .....Jesus DID say that Salvation was “ A GIFT” , remember? Nobody Works for a Gift .
All one must do to Receive the Free Gift Of Salvation .....to become “ fit for Heaven.....to be Justified .....to be SAVED ....is to simply Believe the Gospel Of 1Cor 15:1-4......It is a Promise Of God and God Can’t lie.....Believe Jesus died for your Sins and rose from the Grave and you are Saved.End Of Story.
Once a person gets Salvation out of the way, it is time to get to Work ! What Kind Of “ Work” does God want to see? He wants us to help others by taking on their Burdens as if they were are own.....He wants us to love one another, especially our Brothers And Sisters in the Lord.....not to get or remain Saved—- we do it because we are ALREADY saved.....it comes to us naturally as a Fruit Of The Spirit—— That Spirit we Received after Hearing and Believing the Gospel Of Grace.
As far as Obedience is concerned —- to claim that OSAS adherents think it is a sin to do good things under our own power is simply beyond asininity. ANY Obedience at ANY Time is Great! It will always beat the pants off of Disobedience, where people get hurt , God is displeased and the Foolish get punished .
Yes, Obedience is Great —- it just want SAVE anybody ( only Trusting in the Blood Of Jesus will get THAT job done) —-and if you have the Holy Spirit in you,God will be at work “ INSIDE OF THE CUP” , Transforming you “into the Image Of His Son”, “ Finishing the Work That HE started”.... one will Find themselves being Obedient .... Jesus Promised to present us before His Father as “ BLAMELESS !”
To repeat—— Obedience is always great, no matter how it arrives....as a result of Faith or just as a result of good common sense or even if somebody puts a gun to your head . Many weak, Confused “ Believers” Do it because they sense that a mean old God is eager to throw them into the Fires Of Hell if they should “ lapse” in their Obedience.....
Look friends.....here is how God want us to arrive at Obedience—— Trust Him......Rest in the Gospel Of Grace and be at Peace , Trusting That the Burden Of your pitiful attempt to make yourself acceptable to God By “ being good enough” is a FoolsErrand......

If Paul taught the same gospel as those before him, then why did he call it “my gospel” three times?
Paul uses both phrases “the gospel” and “our gospel” in his epistles, but when Paul mentions “my gospel” it shows that he had a unique message.
My Gospel: to Jew and Gentile
Paul’s gospel made no distinction between Jew or Gentile. All are counted in unbelief as sinners, and are judged by God without respect of persons whether given the law or not.
Therefore, Paul says:

During time past, Jesus’ earthly ministry, and up to his encounter with the Roman, Cornelius, there was a distinction between Jew and Gentile in Peter’s ministry preaching. The Jews had a special spiritual standing with the Lord. Gentiles did not.
My Gospel to Stablish
Paul says “my gospel” is how God stablishes the Romans.

To the Corinthians, Paul claims to be the masterbuilder who lays the foundation of the grace of God upon which other men build.

Resurrection According to My Gospel
Resurrection was a part of Jewish prophecy, Jesus foretold his own, and Peter preached the resurrection of Christ before Paul was saved. So how could Paul say this?

The fact of the resurrection was prophesied, and both Paul and the twelve taught it (1 Cor 15:11). However, the resurrection of Christ was preached by Peter as proof of his Messiahship, and assurance of the kingdom come.
Paul preached the resurrection of Christ as the means of salvation and sanctification for all humanity as part of a new creature, the church the Body of Christ.
Unique to Paul
Paul’s gospel message was entirely of Christ, and so Paul stands alone in calling it “the gospel of Christ” and “Christ’s gospel”, but that he also calls it “my gospel” can only be explained by the fact that Christ gave it first to Paul exclusively.
No one else in scripture could claim “my gospel”, nor can we. We learned the gospel from Paul’s writings, and the twelve apostles taught the same gospel as John the Baptist and of which the prophets spoke (Mark 1:4; Mark 1:15; Acts 3:19-21).
Paul repeatedly says that the dispensation of the grace of God was given to him (Eph 3:2; Eph 3:7; Col 1:25; Rom 15:15).
The Lord revealed to Paul a mystery kept secret since the world began (Rom 16:25; Eph 3:3). Paul was the chosen vessel of the Lord, appointed to the office of apostle of the Gentiles (Rom 11:13; 2 Tim 1:11).
A “dispensation of the gospel” was committed unto him (1 Cor 9:17). His gospel was not received by man, nor was it of man, but given to him first by the Lord (Gal 1:1; Gal 1:11). Even Peter had to learn that God had given Paul further information about God’s grace (Gal 2:9).
It was truly his gospel from Christ, and it was his responsibility to preach his gospel wherever he went.

Per what you have said here you are preaching a false gospel as you lack understanding.

Romans 16:25 and 2 Timothy 2:8 are a couple of scriptures Paul speaks of "my gospel".

Here is the explanation. Peter taught the gospel of circumcision to the Jews being the gospel of the kingdom of God as that is who Christ sent his 12 disciples out to preach to, Matthew 10:5-7. They would not understand the gospel of the grace of God being extended to the uncircumcised Gentiles that Paul was sent out to preach to, Acts 22:1-21; Galatians 2:7, 8. Paul's gospel message being the one Christ sent him out with was for the those of the uncircumcised, Acts 22:1-21; Galatians 2:7, 8.

Both were the same Gospel message as both, Peter and Paul taught repentance under the new dispensation of grace, Ephesians 2:8, as God had to show Peter His gospel was for both Jew and Gentile, Acts 10:9-33. Repenting means sincere regret or remorse. Paul taught repentance as he taught this in Romans 2:4; Acts 20:21; 26:19-23; 1 Corinthians 5:1, 2 and many other scriptures.

There are laws (commandments) of God that were especially written just for the Hebrews pertaining to the rituals of the Temple, sacrifices, festivals, Torah, Kohanim and Levites, the King and the Nazarite. Then there are the existing moral laws (commandments) for all of us to still follow as in prayers and blessings, love and brotherhood. The poor and unfortunate, treatment of the Gentiles, Marriage, divorce and family. Forbidden sexual relations, business practices, employees and servants. Vows, oaths, swearing, Court and Judicial procedures. Injuries and damages, property and property rights, criminal laws. Prophecy, idolatry and all its practices as the moral laws (commandments) keep us in line with the will of God.

We need to present ourselves a vessel of honor that God delights in as we allow the light of Christ shine in us and through us. This is a testimony of Gods grace and mercy as it is not ourselves that do any good thing, but Gods Spirit working in us and through us as we surrender our will to that of Gods will to be done.

Morality in God is His greatest commandment of love as we treat others as we want others to treat us. God is love and wants us to love and treat others as He loves and treats us.
