Yeah. I never said they couldn't. It is entirely possible for a non-believer to do good works, however, the motive for doing so would be different. For a true believer, I believe the motive would be for the love of our Lord and our neighbor.

The only works or obedience that God recognizes from a believer are motivated by love and thanksgiving for what Christ has done for them. Yes, you are right.
