Isn't it, about Manchester, by the Pennines, 'If you can see Manchester, it's going to rain; if you can't see Manchester, it's already raining...'

Hi farouk!
Yes that is what people say,and there is alot of truth in it too!
Manchester is West of the Pennines and Sheffield is East of the Pennines with the same climate!!
Dull and wet most of the time!!

I reckon Leeds's isn't too different, climate-wise, either ... (I never went there, though...)

Good evening, Gentlemen.
So this might be a thread completely without discussion about politics? Yay!!!!

Claudya: You mean ... you weren't just about to discuss Herr Lafontaine joining the PDS, then... :)

Actually a politics-free zone sounds good ...

Lafontaine one unpleasant person, but he just won't go away. :(

Yep. Let's do that.
We the users declare this thread a politics free zone.

Hi Mark from England, I'm Debbie from very chilly Pennsylvania. It's 6:48 in the evening and 34 degrees out right now, but no snow yet, yippee!!!.
It's nice to have a thread to just say hi, how ya doing without all the stupid stuff so hi everyone and God bless all of you.

Well, hello everyone, from sunny, cool central valley California. Where dust is a way of life.

Bob here and I'll extend my hellooooo from central MN. I am located in the lakes area which is found on the transitional edge between the northern forests and southern plains.

Hi to each and every one of you fine people!
God Bless one and all!:)

MarkG,

I'm afraid I'm spoiled now. I live in California. The tables have turned; there's no place sweeter than a rainy day in Southern California. :)
