Yes that is what people say,and there is alot of truth in it too!
Manchester is West of the Pennines and Sheffield is East of the Pennines with the same climate!!
Dull and wet most of the time!!

I'm afraid I'm spoiled now. I live in California. The tables have turned; there's no place sweeter than a rainy day in Southern California.
