The "Hello" thread!

Hi everyone, another beautiful if cool morning here. mist is just lifting and it's a red dawn spectacular!
Knotical, Thanks, I got tired of waiting for my friend to do the logo, found a free program online and did it myself in about an hour and a half.
(friend had the description / font / hand drawn pic, everything for a month....and had already paid him for it! Doh!) I only want a very basic logo so the pic doesn't detract from the message "Fit for Life, Fit for Christ"
Program is called Logo design studio by Summitsoft if anyone needs it. You cant save with the free version,so I just did a screen capture then added elements and edited in photoscape (another great free download..full version).
I hope every one has a wonderful evening, morning.
Blessings in Christ

Good mor...eve.....oh forget it! Hi everyone. Hope you all have a great day today.
Faeriecat, that's great that your church is being so proactive in helping those in need. at the same time it's a little saddening that it's growing as more and more people fall on hard times.
God's Blessings to all of you

Yeah, I know what you mean. About both the time zones and the help. We have one elderly gent who shows up before we open and delivers a lot of "day old" breads and goodies from the local grocery store. Mind you, this gent is someone we're targeting to help and we'd be glad to do it. But he shows up wanting to help others. We did, however, get the oil changed and a couple little tinkery things done to his truck. I got to talk to him while tinkering on his truck and it turns out he's a military veteran. I made sure the organizers got that info so we can keep a special eye on him.

But, yeah, more and more people need help. And its not just the chronically underemployed demographic anymore either. Its also folks who worked hard for years but now have nothing. All we can do is give them some food and tell them about the Lord ... and pray for them ...

Hi MarkG,

I see you are from England? Having spent four years of my life in Germany, I can't imagine a sweeter sunshine than in Europe.

- Davies
You've never seen the colour green until you've been to England. Fifty million shades of green.

Greetings, salutations and other convivial wishes to everyone. It's going to be a beautiful day in LOS. Claudya get to bed! I finally got a full 8 hours sleep and have woken up fighting fit and rarin' to go. Highly recommend it. Now what spanner is going to get thrown in the works........?

I envy you, Paul. I will not get 8 hours of consecutive sleep for the foreseeable future. Unless I decide to sleep all afternoon the day after Thanksgiving.

Knotical, It's a very rare thing for me. I average about 4 1/2 - 5 hours usually. I'm"lucky" I haven't got much writing work on at the moment. Double edged sword, get to sleep, don't get the income. I'm just checking emails and there's two from clients....so maybe my"holiday is over...will have 'nuther coffee before I check them. Thanksgiving tomorrow?

Paul, I just noticed something on your logo. You have a circle R. Did you actually register this logo already?

Knotical, i've submitted it for registration which aparrently takes time for them to search ,check, double check etc. That's why it is in a pale shade. Once it is registered then I will change it to black (and reduce its size).

Hello friends ... It has been a very long time since I have been around !! But I will do my best to come back and share what is new with all of us here ... So, please forgive me for not being around that much so have a great and blessed Thanksgiving with all your families and loved ones !!!

That's easy to do when you're stuffed with stuffing ;) and turkey

Hi Faeriecat and everyone. hows your day shaping up?
I suppose everyone in the state are busy preparing for Thanksgiving right? Hope everyone has a great time.
Our cool season turned nasty today it hit 37 celsius with 85% humidity....thunderheads formed and put on a fantastic light and sound show but didn't break into rain darn it...weathers all messed up...got sports day tomorrow at school...so hopefully it'll be cooler.

Yep, here in the states today is a hyuge travel day. Tomorrow we stuff ourselves stupid on too much food. Then Friday we trample others to get more useless junk from the stores. :P

Its bright and sunny and about 72F here (about 22C).

I have to make brownies, brownies with pecans, and chop some veggies for a salad tonight. Or tomorrow morning. Whenever I get to it ...
