The identity of the antichrist in 5 verses

It is God who sends the strong delusion on them who have not believed the truth, so that they might be saved.
2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

Nothing here about God sending a strong delusion on saved people only on the unsaved. It doesn't matter what a person thinks about himself, God knows those who are His and He does not send them a strong delusion.
I don't know anywhere that scripture that says God will send a delusion on saved people. If you do, please post it.
If you can't post a scripture to support your view that saved people could believe the lie, so that they worship the beast and are marked, then I have nothing more to say about it.

Deborah, the "unsaved people"are already deceived,God dos'nt need to send them a delussion....The strong delussion is for one's own good,as noone shall be judged in ignorance...In other words when one worships the antichrist when he comes pretending to be Christ, they will do so unwitingly, for to to so knowingly would be the lost of your very soul.......

Hope you don't mind, but I'll start with a question.Who was the king of tyrus?

Please know that I really appreciate the civil manner of our discussion...It's how I feel Christians should communicate with one another, even through disagreement..........
ME TOO :thumbsup :sohappy

Can you explain this scripture using the words in the scripture?

2Th 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2Th 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Who is they and them in v10?
Are they saved?
Why does God send them a strong delusion?
Could anyone not be deceived if God sends them a delusion so that they will be deceived?

Thanks

Hi n2thelight,

Let`s just have a look at Satan`s unholy trinity –
  1. Satan – The father of Lies. (counterfeit of God the Father)
  2. The Political Leader of the Global System – The anti-Christ. (counterfeit of Jesus Christ)
  3. The False Prophet – The Religious & Economic leader. (counterfeit of the Holy Spirit)

These 3 are clearly shown when the Lord deals with them.
  1. Satan – bound & cast into the bottomless pit for a thousand years. (Rev. 20: 1 – 3)
  2. The Political Leader (Head of the beast government), the anti-Christ – cast alive into the lake of fire. (Rev. 19: 20)
  3. The Religious & Economic Leader (false prophet) was also cast alive into the lake of fire. (Rev. 19: 20)

So in Rev. 13 we can distinguish the 3 –
  1. Satan – the dragon gave him his power, his throne & great authority. (Rev. 13: 2)
  2. The Political Leader – one of the heads ....he was given a mouth speaking .....(Rev. 13: 3 – 5)
  3. The Religious & Economic Leader - `he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence. (Rev. 13: 12) Note he didn`t have crowns on his horns. Crowns denote Political power. Thus this man had power (religious/economic) but it was not Political.

Hope that is clearer, Marilyn.

Hi Marilyn

satan is the dragon as documented below

"Revelation 20:2 "And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,"

Your above examples are all the same one entity, satan,it's just the different roles that he plays....One has to remember, satan goes by many names, the above are just a few(4),yet it's the same person...

I hate to keep giving you links to read but if you will please read the below link, going over the 13th chapter of Rev...I only give links when it's in agreement with how I see things as aligned with the Word, and the author is better able to articulate that which I think....

II Thessalonians 2:7 "For the mystery of iniquity [lawlessness] doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way."

There is no mystery around when this will take place, for we will know his methods of operation [withholdeth], and the signs, the seasons, and the times of Satan's arrival to earth. If you are in the Word of God and not following these "one verse preachers", you will know when to expect the Antichrist. You will also know within hours of when to expect our Lord Jesus Christ's return. Satan's reign on earth is not seven years because God reduced that time to five months for the "elect's" sake, as Jesus told us in Matthew 24:22. Jesus also revealed that the time is shortened to five months, to John in Revelation 9:5, and 10.

The "mystery of lawlessness" is the mystery of iniquity. "He who now letteth will let"; in the Greek should be translated; "He who holds fast [ketcho] will stand." The ellipsis, or "omission from an expression of a word clearly implied"; "There is one who hold's fast", instead of by repeating the verb, "will let". However, "katecho" is a transitive verb, and an object must be supplied also. So if the subject in verse six is Satan, then the object must be his position in the heavenlies [see Ephesians 6:12], from which he will be ejected from heaven by Michael [Revelation 12:7-9].

"Out of the way", in the Greek is "out of ek", or "the midst". It is the same expression used in Acts 17:33, and I Corinthians 5:2.

Many "rapture theorists" claim this one who "letteth" is the Holy Spirit, and they claim that when He is "taken away", then the Antichrist will come. By reversing the role of the characters in the verses here, and attributing what is Satan's to the Holy Spirit, you have a whole new doctrine called the "Any moment doctrine". This false doctrine is better known as the "rapture theory". It is dangerous to play around with a foreign language; and when the flock relies upon their shepherd for the truth, and the shepherd is assumed to be correct; in ignorance it is accepted just because he said it.

It is Michael who "holds fast" on to Lucifer [the Antichrist], and Michael will continue to keep Lucifer held until the appointed time, spoken of above. That time is appointed by God. Then at the appointed time God will give Satan the keys [authority] to release his fallen angels and they will be cast to the earth [see Revelation 9:1-10]. Let's take a look at the one [Michael] who holds on to Satan now.

Revelation 12:7; "And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels," Michael [that is who the "he" is in II Thessalonians 2:7 and his [Michael's] angels fought against the dragon [another name for Satan] and his [Satan's] fallen angels.

Revelation 12:8; "And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven." This war took place in heaven, and that is where Satan and his angels are now; though Satan's spirit, and demonic spirits are all over the earth today. Now we will see what Michael does with Satan, in fulfilling II Thessalonians 2:7.

Revelation 12:9; "And the great dragon [Satan] was cast out [that is the transitive verb of verse seven], that old serpent [this is the role Satan played in the Garden of Eden], called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world [except for God's elect]: he was cast out onto the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."

This is when Satan will physically appear on earth as a man with his angels. This is the time of the Antichrist's coming, and we must know when this time is by when these events takes place, for Satan comes at the sixth trumpet.

Then the verse picks up where Satan is standing in the holy place. Satan's object is to deceive all the world, and have the world take his markings in their minds. God's Word thus says that Satan will come to earth and stand in that Holy place, before Christ will come and gather anyone back to Himself.

II Thessalonians 2:8 "And then shall that Wicked be revealed, Whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit [breath] of his mouth, and shall destroy [bring to naught] with the brightness [manifestation] of his coming:"

"The wicked" is better translated, "wicked one": What comes out of the Lord's mouth? It is the Truth. That is also the Word that God put in the mouth of Paul in this writing. Satan shall then be destroyed after being cast out, and also after standing in the holy place. After this is the time of Jesus Christ coming and gathering of His saints. There is no "anytime doctrine" here. It is in the course of certain events, and God lets us know clearly the order of these events, and exactly what to expect. In Matthew 24:15 Jesus is saying exactly what Paul is saying, Satan will come first and reign before the gathering of the saints.

Then Christ will destroy Satan.

II Thessalonians 2:9 "Even him, whose coming is after the working of Sa'-tan with all power and signs and lying wonders,"

"Even him" also includes Satan's religious beast system. Satan's religious system will be present with Satan. The religious beast is discussed in Revelation 13, and this the religious role that gives support and authority to Satan. If you believe in the Rapture theory, you will take part in that role. Many Christians will assume Satan to be Christ when they visible witness the supernatural powers he possess, and the deceptions that will take place, all except God's elect.

II Thessalonians 2:10 "And with all deceivableness [deceit] of unrighteousness in [for] them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth,"

God is writing this letter to us personally, and we are responsible for understanding it. We are accountable to God to give answer for our actions. It is you and I, individually, that will stand before God and give our personal answer for the personal handling of His Word. There will be no preacher, friend or family member with you on that judgment day, for they will all be explaining and accounting for their own words and actions. If your pastor is one of the false shepherds, and led many saints astray, his ignorance won't help him or you.

This is something we must think about, our souls are at stake here.

II Thessalonians 2:11 "And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion [send them a working of error], that they should a lie;"

If you want to believe a lie, God will allow it; in fact he will help you into the system of deceptions Satan will bring on the earth. Do you really think God will come here and personally show you, and talk to you when you refuse to believe His Word, when He gave it in such detail through the prophets and His Son. If you desire to believe that your going to fly out of here, and refuse His word, He will so block your mind that you will not be capable of understanding truth. God will send the "strong delusion" over your mind. The strong delusion is an act of love given by God for your protection.

II Thessalonians 2:12 "That they all might be damned [judged] who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."

This is the reason for the "strong delusion" of verse eleven; "That they might be damned", it would be more accurately translated "condemned". Condemned for not believing the truth in God's Word when given to them. They had the warning, but still followed Satan, and partook in his religious system.

"Pleasure in unrighteousness" is not referring to drunken brawls, or whore houses, but it is a continuation of the subject here at hand. That subject is "worshipping the Antichrist [Satan] as the true Christ." You will take pleasure in that damnable sin; that unrighteous act will be done in your total ignorance. It's easy to say "I'm saved", but saved from what? The subject here has changed from that of verse eight, to "being damned through deception." The traditions of men will change this subject, from "being deceived by Satan, and enjoying it" to petty activities of the day.

The questions that I asked you are not answered by this other person you quoted. And it's ironic that he says under v10 that you are personally responsible for knowing God word and not to trust others to do that for you. I guess you gave it your best shot, so it's OK. :)

All good :) Just so you know,I don't trust other's without checking what they say against scripture

The answer to your question is in the verse, which is ,those that have not the truth

Hi n2thelight,

I think you are doing fine explaining what you believe. And I do believe like you that Satan has different names, (showing different parts of his character - the dragon, the serpent, the devil & Satan). Now I would rather talk to you than to some one who can`t reply. Thus said, can you explain why God says that the `beast,` the Political leader & the false prophet are cast alive into the lake of fire, while Satan is bound & cast into the bottomless pit.

Three entities there, bro. Marilyn.

Malachi 4:5-6
Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet
before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:
And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children,
and the heart of the children to their fathers,
lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Matthew 6:21-23
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness.

Why do you seek after the knowledge of Satan, or the Antichrist, or what ever you choose to call him rather than the Knowledge of Christ? Is he the father your hearts have turned to? Is that the treasure you seek?

1 John 3:7-9
Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Not only is he who commits sin of the devil, but he who condemns another for their sins is also of the devil. For the devil is the accuser of the brethren (Rev 12:9-12). As is he who sits in the seat of Moses judging according to the law. Think not that I shall accuse you to the Father, there is one who accuses you, even Moses in whom you trust (John 5:45).

If your desire is to know the antichrist when he shall appear, then is he the father that your heart has turned to? Why then the desire to know his identity?

Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the ............?

When you are able to pull the beam out of your own eye (Matt 7:3-5) perhaps the mirror will have no more value, for you will then be able to see past your own vanity.

Hi n2thelight,

  1. Satan – The father of Lies. (counterfeit of God the Father)

The model of which you speak is that of the kingdom of Israel, or rather the southern Kingdom of Judah. For there was a King who ruled the land and a high priest who served the temple. And it was the Law that gave them their power and authority.

But that is not the model of the Heavenly Kingdom of Israel, for in that Kingdom Christ is the King and the High Priest, and it is by His Righteousness that the Father has given Him the power and authority that we might live in His Grace by Faith through His Spirit.

Marilyn.

I really can't explain it to ya.....Let me ask you a question, who is death?

Hi n2thelight,

Well that`s fine, but let me show you in God`s word what He says -

`....These two (the head of the Global Government - the anti-Christ, & the false prophet) were cast ALIVE into the lake of fire.` (Rev. 19: 20)
This `beast,` is the leader who is cast ALIVE. A global system of countries cannot be cast ALIVE into the fire, but a human can.
People get confused with `the beast.` it is a description of the Global Government & also a description of the leader, the head of that.

Now to your question. Again let`s look at what God`s word says. I think you`d rather that than just an opinion.

`Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh & blood, He himself (Jesus) likewise shared in the same, that through death he might destroy him who had the power of death, that is the devil, & release those who through fear of death, were all their lifetime subject to bondage.` (Heb. 2: 14 & 15)

`Jesus said - I am He who lives, & was dead, & behold, I al alive for evermore. Amen. And I have the keys of hades & of death.` (Rev. 1: 18)

Thus we read that Satan had the power but now Jesus has the `keys,` the authority over death.

Blessings, Marilyn.

Thus said, can you explain why God says that the `beast,` the Political leader & the false prophet are cast alive into the lake of fire, while Satan is bound & cast into the bottomless pit.

To put it simply for you, the beast, the King and the Priest of the Old Covenant, the Covenant made with Moses on Mt Sinai was destroyed and cast alive into the lake of fire, meaning that it returned unto the God who made it: for God is a consuming fire, as was the fire that descended upon the mountain the day the children of Israel heard the voice of God out of the midst of the Fire.

As to Satan being bound and cast into the bottomless pit: while the covenant of death made with Moses was destroyed by Him who had made it, the Law was not destroyed. It was bound and locked away that faith had a chance to grow. For the Law is the knowledge of sin, it is the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, and from the beginning the serpent whispered: eat, for in the day that you eat thereof your eyes shall be opened and you shall be as a god knowing good and evil. Satan, or rather the power and authority of the Law shall be unleashed from the pit to try the hearts of men and whom they would choose to follow; the works of the law or the righteousness of Christ through Faith.

But your millennium is up, and Satan has already been set forth from the pit, and the knowledge of the Law is at the fingertips of everyone, printed in every language. The Law is your authority when you accuse another of sin; But Faith is your authority when you forgive another of their transgression.

Hello Marilyn

So how is death cast into the lake of fire?

Hi n2thelight,

Now that is a very interesting question there bro. Mmmmm This is the scripture we know about this -

`The sea gave up the dead who were in it, & death & Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then death & Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.` (Rev. 20: 13 & 14)

Now we know that Hades was a holding place for the wicked, whereas death is the curse that God put on man so that he would not live forever in his sin. (Gen. 3: 17 - 24) Now we know that Jesus has the authority over these, because of His sacrifice. However the Lord Jesus is not going to address these till the end of this fallen world.

`For He (Jesus) must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.` (1 Cor. 15: 25) `...when He puts an end to all rule & all authority & power.` (v. 24)

Thus I see that `death & Hades` being cast into the lake of fire reveals that the power of that curse & authority of Satan in Hades is dealt with in God`s consuming fire.

Hope that is clear, Marilyn.

Hello again Marilyn

Let me show you why noone but satan can be the antichrist

I’m sure that we can agree that it is satan (called Lucifer) being spoken of in (Isa 14:12-16). In that Scripture, in verses 13 & 14 we see that Lucifer is going to do something that we see the antichrist doing in (2nd Thess 2:4)

Isa 14:12-16
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou [satan - antichrist] hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north [the north side of the Temple is always God’s place, the Holy of Holies]:
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High [satan is saying that he shall be as Godm.
15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man [satan referred to as a man] that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms (KJV)

II Th 2:3-4
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. (KJV) Do you see the correlation of the two persons mentioned in the Isaiah Scripture and the 2nd Thessalonians Scripture? It is one and the same entity, it is satan as the antichrist, his most formidable move ever upon God’s children.

Antichrist: Greek word #500 antichristos (an-tee'-khris-tos); from 473 and 5547; an opponent of the Messiah: KJV-- antichrist.
Anti: Greek word #473 anti (an-tee'); a primary particle; opposite, i.e. instead or because of (rarely in addition to):
KJV-- for, in the room of. Often used in composition to denote contrast, requital, substitution, correspondence, etc.

Christ: Greek word #5547 Christos (khris-tos'); from 5548; anointed, i.e. the Messiah, an epithet of Jesus: KJV-- Christ.

Cool, now that's how I see the roles of satan being striped one role at a time.....

These names are ‘roles’ of the same one entity. You remember in (Rev chpt.17) where it is talking about satan and his many roles, but it is the same one entity:

Rev 17:9-11
9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. (KJV)

Who is the only one by name that has already been judged to perdition? Satan is:
Ezek 28:18-19
18 Thou[king of Tyrus - satan] hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
19 All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more. [perished completely, perdition] (KJV)
Satan is the king of Babylon: "MYSTERY BABYLON" {Rev 17:5}. Look at it this way, Jesus has many names and roles but there is only one Jesus Christ (“Bread of Life”, “Lamb slain”, “King of kings and Lord of lords”, ...). And in (Rev chpt. 2 &3), in the preface to each message to the seven churches we see different names and roles for Jesus. Well, for every positive in the Word of God there is a negative.

Let’s follow satan through the end times and observe the destruction of him one role at a time until there is nothing left - perished, the son of perdition.
Rev 19:14-20
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. [This is the Second Advent]
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
19 And I saw the beast [2nd beast of (Rev 13:11) antichrist], and the kings of the earth [1st beast of (Rev 13:1-3). The one world political/religious luciferian system (NWO)], and their armies, gathered together to make war against him [Jesus] that sat on the horse, and against his army.
20 And the beast [1st beast of (Rev 13:1-3). The one world political/religious luciferian system (NWO)] was taken, and with him the false prophet [2nd beast of (Rev 13:11) antichrist] that wrought miracles before him [‘It’ In the Greek language (the original language of the New Testament), he, she, and it are all the same word, the value of the word comes from the context of the passage], with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. [from this point on, satan no longer has the cover of appearing as the impostor christ antichrist. And he does not have his one-world system either] (KJV) You have to remember, at Jesus Christ’s return at His Second Advent, all are changed into spiritual bodies. That has happened in our above Scripture.

The next event regarding satan is his binding in the Bottomless Pit for the Millennium (1000 year period):
Rev 20:2-3
2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. (KJV) After the Millennium, satan is released for a short time and then he is completely destroyed in the Lake of Fire by God Himself.
Rev 20:10
10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (KJV) Satan is now almost altogether gone, he still has one more role to die, that being ‘death’, for death is one of satan’s many many names:
Heb 2:14
14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil (KJV) Ok, then after Judgment Day, even death is destroyed:
Rev 20:14
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. (KJV) The Lake of Fire is used as metaphor for complete and total irreversible destruction, it isn’t a literal lake somewhere, it is the final sentence for the wicked, both wicked souls and wicked things, for all that offends shall be cast into the Lake of Fire.

And we have seen the one-world political system cast into the Lake of Fire, as well as several of satan’s roles. Flesh and blood cannot be cast into the Lake of Fire, for none enter therein until after Judgment Day. On Judgment Day all are in spiritual bodies. The Lake of Fire is what people commonly think they refer to when they say “hell”, but hell is a very misunderstood thing. Hell is not an eternal torture chamber, but an eternal blotting out. “Hell” so-called (the Lake of Fire) is the death of a soul, which is the second death. (I say “hell, so-called”, because in the Bible the word hell actually means the grave and/or the smoldering garbage pit outside of Jerusalem. It does paint the picture for us though, does it not?):
Rev 20:14
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. (KJV)
You remember that there are two bodies within each of us, a flesh body and a spiritual body. The flesh body dies in the first death, and the spiritual body dies in the second (if you don’t overcome).
1 Cor 15:44
44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. (KJV)

Hi n2thelight,

I agree that Isaiah 14 is about Lucifer. However let`s look at this word `man.`

16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man [satan referred to as a man] that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms (KJV)

`Man,` - Hebrew word, `iysh,` meaning to be extant, ie. still existing, in being.
It is NOT the Hebrew `adam,` meaning a human being.

So can you see the difference. Satan is a being, an angelic being, but NOT a human being.

Marilyn.

Hi n2thelight,

Now as regards those notes you posted. As I`ve said before I can`t talk to the person who wrote it so all I can do is point out to you my thoughts.

These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. [from this point on, satan no longer has the cover of appearing as the impostor christ antichrist. And he does not have his one-world system either

I agree that Satan `appears,` as the anti-Christ, controlling the man, but they are separate beings. One is a man & the other is an angelic being. Now as if God is going to let Satan get away if he was the one cast into the lake of fire. of course not. The man, the anti-Christ, the Head of the Global beastly government, he is cast into the lake of fire. Then the angelic being is bound & cast into the bottomless pit for a thousand years. God is not confused or powerless to let Satan escape.

That writer is in a muddle over things & will only confuse you. You need to read God`s word to see what it actually says. For example -

And we have seen the one-world political system cast into the Lake of Fire,`

The one-world political system is made up of people. These will be judged at the `sheep & goats,` judgment. How can you throw a system into the lake of fire. Throw in computers, files, bank ledgers, etc etc. Nonsense.

Marilyn.
