The Pre-Tribulation Rapture?

This has been one of the most talked about subjects since I joined here. The interpretation of the Word has a lot (if not everything) to do with the views we hold and the reason(s) why. The best practice - be prepared, go about our Father's business doing the work for the Kingdom, and not get caught up in the mere interpretations, but rather live a life that glorifies the Father. In doing so, you can know that when His arrival has finally come, you can be certain you will be a part of that glorious event.

Great advice brother. :salute

However, since this thread is about the Rapture, please comment on this scripture, so that we are able to provide the truth to those who ask.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words. 1 Thessalonians 4:14-18

The "gathering" is the event, when all those who are Christ's, both the dead in Christ, and those who are alive and remain are gathered together, in the air, in the clouds, unto Him, and are forever with Him.

At the coming of the Lord, there are three things that will happen that pertain to this discussion topic.

1. The resurrection of the dead.
2. The Rapture, in which those are alive and remain, will be caught up together with the dead in Christ, who were just raised.
3. The destruction of the antichrist.

Can you tell me why this won't be happening before the great tribulation?

There are non-essential and essential topics in the Word of God that relate to our salvation. This topic is one that can only be merely debated based upon interpretation.
So again live your life in a way where there is no doubt when this event takes place we are confident in our salvation.

This would be a topic that relates to your salvation, if you are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord.

If you are alive at the coming of the Lord, then you will be alive during the greatest time of world wide tribulation and persecution that has ever been.

  • Those who endure to the end will be saved.

8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.

13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. 15 “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), 16 “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Matthew 24:8-21

  • Enduring to the end is a salvation based statement.

20 But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; 21 yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles. Matthew 13:20-21

I disagree -

This topic does not save or condemn my soul. It's a non-essential topic.

As I been stating. Live your life that glorifies the Father.

I agree with this statement, as I have said.

Ignoring what the scriptures say, in a discussion thread about a specific topic, is not a healthy way to discuss Theology, which comes from the truth of the scriptures.

  • If we indeed love people, we will turn them from the error of their way, back to the truth.

19 Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, 20 let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins. James 5:19-20

Turning people back from the error of their way, and saving them from death, is one way to glorify the Father, and love His children.

You said "truth in Scripture"

I have read nothing but man's interpretation of Scripture here.

I firmly believe in a pre-trib rapture and I can base my facts on the Jewish wedding feast which has not been used here (makes me wonder why), I can use the seven feast of Leviticus (not been used here). So far it's been the same Scriptures used to debate this subject matter over and over and over again. So there is no point in debating - will you change my heart and my beliefs? Surely not, and I will NEVER try to convince another about my convictions. However, if you feel that you need more understanding on this subject. There are many threads relating to this very subject.

Have we gone so far into wanting to debate we will battle over anything

I don't debate anymore, lol that was the young Christian in me. Just live life that glorifies the Father - that is what I believe He would want rather then debating His Word and turning off new believers who read and see this.

When one demands a Scripture for this or a scripture for that we end up with some demanding a scripture that says this...
The destruction of the antichrist.

Is there a scripture that says the antichrist will be destroyed .

Sorta agree... When the debating is for the purpose of showing the readers SEE I WAS RIGHT... the salt has lost is savor... when we are debating to learn and grow in knowledge i like it.. A real or good debate will cause me to search Scripture..

That is called a Bible Study

A debate is trying to prove one side is correct and one side is wrong. This I stay away from unless it's essential to ones salvation. Then the debate gloves come off (sorta speak).

You're correct it says "beast" and we would have to gather from other Scripture that reveals who this beast truly is

There is Scripture enough to back different 'sides' of mans truth..
folks just over look the ones they think dont fit their theology..

That is called a Bible Study

So let's study the Bible.

So far, all I have seen from you is man's opinion.

I have presented scripture for discussion.

This one verse is sufficient to teach us that all those who are Christ's will be caught up together, at His coming.

Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:17

The resurrection of the dead in Christ and the rapture is one event, whereby all those who are His, will be gathered together and be with Him forever.

To me this is encouraging.
