It may mean that we turn off the TV, and social media, secular music and worldly activities and invest our time developing a strong spiritual life.


It may mean we say no to ungodly relationships and ungodly choices, and get serious about our eternal destiny.

You missed my point. JESUS shed his blood for your sin and my sin and every ones sin. He is the only WAY to heaven.

Put your faith in Jesus Christ for your salvation, not your works.

The Scriptures are full of warnings for sinners. You know...repent, keeping the commandments, facing judgement, etc...all those pesky things some people apparently think do not apply.

What do you think the phrase "will not inherit the kingdom of God" means?

of course there is consequence for sin for everyone but if you discern between the verses talking to believers vs unbelievers its clear that you can't lose salvation.
I'll say it again, if you are relying on your works or yourown version of righteousness to get into heaven rather than the shed blood of Jesus Christ you will be sorely disappointed. He is the Way.

My Bible says that too and I'm not sure why you think what I'm saying contradicts this.
We've all sinned and come short of the glory of God. The only righteousness that passes muster with God is that of his Son Jesus Christ. His death burial and resurrection is the price of my salvation.
Trust Jesus, not your good deeds. See the parable of the pharisee and publican.

In St. Matthew's very detailed account of man's last judgement, Christ's final words are as follows:

"And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal." (Mt. 25:46)


The righteous = δίκαιος / dikaios = observing the divine laws; upright; righteous; virtuous; keeping the commands of God

Are you saying you aren't covetous and haven't told a lie since you've been saved? Can you really not tell the difference in the passages between the lost sinner and the saved sinner?

Well then if you've kept every command of God then congrats, you don't need Jesus i guess.
As for me, I'll stick with the Savior.

If you are genuinely struggling with failing to worship God, blaspheming Him, failing to honor your parents, murdering people, lying, stealing, committing adultery and coveting, your time would be better spent in prayer and not on internet forums.

There is no argument. St. Paul is clear and explicit: Those who break the commands of God will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Sweetheart, it is only because of the grace of Christ that we can be righteous.

“Unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter into the kingdom of heaven." (Mt 5:20)
