The Ramble On thread

Daniel did fine without meats and breads for a bit, I'm sure i could too...and Peanuts is a good solution. :)

I do fine with little meat in my diet. Thou I have never cut grains completely, just changed to whole grains and non-processed products. Vegetables are excellent for a healthy body~ and very satisfying~ especially when you include herbs spices fruit and nuts! There are many natural sources for protein outside of meat.

I love peanuts Tim, got any handy? BTW . . . I have the sweetest friends living in Georgia~ planting a Calvary Chapel there. What is Georgia like, especially in regards to colleges?

Sigh...I've missed this Ramble On thread!
What's really creepy is the above was written just over a year ago. We havr the same problem THIS year with the rains. But I'm SURE this year is worse.

Howdy Justmee~

We will take some of your rains over here in So Cal we are burning up again. Must be God warning this pornigraphic producing state of His coming judgment~ or maybe its just global warming. . . ?

Yeah~ I would say this globe is warming up for a cookin'.

Anybody got marshmellows? :microwave:

How about walking between the drops Justmee? :D Gosh I like yer sign on name, its too cool.

In the pleasant love of Jesus~ bonnie

Well, howdy doo to YOU ms Bonnie! My sister lives jsut outside L.A. in a town called Lawndale. I worry about her & my littel nephews somwtimes for all the fires.
I've said that all the fires & stuff was a warning from God but I try to be nice becasue I know there are a FEW good people out there.

I'll include you when I pray for my sister and her safety.
My screen name is mostly because I am just me...not some Bible scholar like quite a few here.

Oh yeah, this year is being compared to the rains and floods of the 90s. :shocked!:

Yes, it has been about a year now, just a little bit after my girl won AI. :-D

The Lord has really been blessing us here in the area I live in (S.E. Ga.) with afternoon showers. The corn really looks good this year whereas the previous years it's been dying on the stalk because of drought.

Thank You merciful Lord!

Your sissie should be okay Justmee~ :D The current fires are mostly about 75% controlled now, and Lawndale is about three pretty long drives down famous california freeways from the heat smoke and ashes.

Besides Lawndale is too close to the money in Manhattan Beach to really worry~ those rich kids take care of their own, AND, she's in the flatlands~ its mostly mountainous or hilly areas that burn out here. She's only a skip over two freeways to my birthplace, Bell.

Yep! Yer sign on name keeps it simple don't it? It's nice to have a gal out of Oklahoma to talk to, my Mom hailed from those roots. I'm a california okie myself. I keep tryin' to tell these brilliant people ta keep it simple, cookies on the bottom shelf fer us kids, eh? They try.

Luv ya in Jesus girly girl. ;-) bonnie

Well, butter my butt & call me a biscuit! So you have Oklahoma ties? V E R Y excellent. I've lived in Tulsa all my life. Did a long term missions trip to France in the late 80's but that's about it.

Since my sister moved from Long Beach I don't really have a geographical clue where she is. I only see her once a year when she comes home for Christmas.

Any kind of weather "issues" are of great concern to me.

Peace Out my Okie Sister! The joy of the Lord is yer strength

Hiya Pssst Sara~

Yer a Biscuit! Now don't cha'all fall off yer seat dearie! :smt082

Yep, my Mom was raised on a farm out thata way. She used to say her Pa could strangle two hens in his big fists at the same time! Scary!!! We are also members of the Citizen Band Potowatame Tribe in Shawnee.

Their farm land in Seminole, became part of what the Great depression caused~ known as the "dust bowl". They packed up and headed West with a truck load of seven children and two adults. "Picked" their way out here, following Lonnie my grandpa, who got a job as an electrician. These are my mom's memories, very precious to me now she's gone to be with Jesus. It's so fun to share them.

Gee, what concerns you most about the weather? I can lift up your concerns to the One who can hold the winds in the hands of His angelic forces. I will be certain to pray for your sissie, may I ask is she saved? I have three that do not want Jesus~ YET. The good thing is I got my sisters in Him forever. . . :smt052 bonnie

Hey Hey there, Sis

yeppers, Nancy is saved and goes to a Methodist church somewheres out her way. Denom churches kinda leave a bad taste in my mouth but it seems like hers is pretty alrighty. Her boys have not made the official commitment but I know they are on their way. They hold onto their Sunday School lessons all week. That's hard to do for boys age 9 & 11!

weather issues for Nancy are somewhat of minor flooding. She lives in a slight dip and she's seen water come up to the edge of her street before. I know she's protected though.

I know the Shawnee area fairly well. It's closer to Ok City than Tulsa. I have an Indian background on my mom's side. Mom's grandparents came there from the trail of tears. We are Creek (though you can't tell from looking at me that I am about 1/8 Creek. Me white girl from the city. Give me concrete or give me death!

YOU have a great, blessed weekend. I'm in & outta here all day today.

B I G Hugs :smt061

I know it's late but Happy Birthday Blazin Bones.

Sorry the only ramblin I've been doing the last week is removing all evidence of smig smoke in my house. It's taking me with the help of my daughter and her husband to help me re-do my hubby and my bedroom. Paint, remodeling, thorough cleaning/washing/scrubbing from ceiling to floor, cleaning furniture/then polishing....there's smoke everywhere in that bedroom before we hit it hard this week. It took me all day just to wipe down every christian research book (approx. 100) I own for studing God's Word. What really upset me and I didn't even give thought to them, was the 4 real old bibles w/macrabees included, plus two 100 year old hand carved wooden bound german bibles I own I have to have them cleaned/care for by professionals cause of their age due to the smoke. So that will be another pretty penny to put out. The four main ones are dated 1637, 1746, 1787, 1889.....the 1787 survived a fire where the entire church burnt down to the ground, except for the bible which is massive with big metal latches on it. It's shinged around the edges but did not burn. They were given to me by this man we know. He is the last of his family outside of his brother whose not christian and they're was no one to leave them to, so he gave them to me to pass down in my family now.

So after about $300.00 on expenses, our bedroom smells so good with fresh paint, and the removal of all smoke stains. I slept like a baby for the first time in years.....I believe that might have contributed to me not sleeping well as well as my hubby. But while he was in Chicago this week and out of my hair, the three of us took advantaged to get it done without my hubby in the way. With him putting down the smigs about 6 mths ago, and now I've put them down too....thanks everyone for the prayers....I felt it was only right to correct the surroundings we sleep in. So now this room is done, and now starting on the other one. I've got my daughter and her husband smoking in the kitchen away from everyone, but as soon as the kitchen is repainted it will be out doors to smoke from then on.

So sorry Bonnie I didn't continue the rambin, but girl if I had my drothers, it would have been here ramblin instead of ramblin in that stinky bedroom for a week. :silly: :shocked!:

God Bless everyone sure do miss you guys, again Happy Birthday Tim, may God bless you with many more anointed years Honey!!!

Kudos HIM,
Carolpsalm91

Lo Sara~

We are related by many commonalitie's ~ my ancesters the Potowatame tribe is originally out of Canada, the tribe was also moved along with many other indian nations including the Creek peoples on the Trail of Tears.

The Citizen Band Potowatame nation are few in number, my great grandfather signed the roles before the tribe was moved, so I am counted as a member thou I have less than an eight blood tie. If you want to see how little I look like an indian~ check out the post my face thread in the Photos and Images forum. maybe you could share a photo of your family too? Guess I'm a city dweller too, ugh! I love wetter cooler climes than what I am now allowed, thou the fields are very ripe for harvest here lately, our prayers for God's salvation are stirring the hearts of the young out in this HEAT!

See, dear sister, we are related by the most powerfully binding blood tie there is, the blood of the Son of God, Jesus Christ, has made us forever family! YEAH! I will be keeping your grandson's in prayer for the Lord's completed salvation in each one. An your sis for His hedge.

Carol~

Gee, your sooooo sweet smelling bedroom makes me LOL, out of joy for the wonderful work of repentence in you. The remodeling is happening inside you most of all! Yes? Jesus is the best remodeler, ain't He thou? :-D

WOW! You have some truly ancient texts there~ I could add a few very old hymnals~ I collect them. Don't cha worry gal~ you're a rambler from the first word to the last and there's no denying it, even if we miss out on yer two pennies worth from time to time.

I love you girls~ in Christ's constant love~ bonnie.
