The warning of the second-coming

I think it is Jesus Christ. But what confused me about this is that "The Man Child of Christ" Jesus is Christ :confused
Rev 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

John had the task of writing of things in Rev 1:19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter. There are many that suppose Rev 12:5 is a parenthesis inserted pointing back to Jesus, and it ain't so. When Rev 4:1 said the things he sees will be hereafter from the time he saw it, I believe it and then must determine who the man child is other than Jesus. No other scripture I know of shows the catching up of the 144,000. :shrug

Christ uses His sons and servants to overcome the enemy. Christians are saved, but we are also sinners who stray and need correction. We gain nothing in condemning our fellows who need more guidance than ourselves.

Christ Jesus overcame the enemy, and gave power to those immersed in His Name to overcome sin, the devil, and the world also. it is always Yhwh's Power in and through Christ Jesus.

who in this forum is condemning any fellow believer ?

Isaiah 5:16-21Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)
16 But Adonai-Tzva’ot is exalted through justice,
God the Holy One is consecrated through righteousness.
17 Then lambs will be able to feed
as if they were in their own pasture,
and those wandering through will eat
from the ruined fields of the overfed.

18 Woe to those who begin by pulling
at transgression with a thread,
but end by dragging sin along
as if with a cart rope.
19 They say, “We want God to speed up his work,
to hurry it along, so we can see it!
We want the Holy One of Isra’el’s plan
to come true right now, so we can be sure of it!”

20 Woe to those who call evil good
and good evil,
who change darkness into light
and light into darkness,
who change bitter into sweet
and sweet into bitter!

21 Woe to those seeing themselves as wise,
esteeming themselves as clever.

Not all the tribes of Israel follow the Lamb, only the 144,000.
True concerning that particular time of the future, but these are not the total of a nation born in a day when the so-called Great Commission to the nations will be in full activity as they go in Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Up to this point in time I know of no nation taught and baptized.

Isa 66:8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth (a reference to Israel) be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.

We are saved by His blood not our works ... how can one be Christian and not ready what can man do to make himself ready,, Ready for what?

Hebrews 12:15 (AMP) | In Context | Whole Chapter
15 Exercise foresight and be on the watch to look [after one another]**, to see that no one falls back from and fails to secure God’s grace (His unmerited favor and spiritual blessing), in order that no root of resentment (rancor, bitterness, or hatred) shoots forth and causes trouble and bitter torment, and the many become contaminated and defiled by it—

** in person, day to day, continual, when visiting in person ... ... ...

Hebrews 12:14-16Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)
14 Keep pursuing shalom with everyone and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord. 15 See to it that no one misses out on God’s grace, that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble and thus contaminates many, 16 and that no one is sexually immoral, or godless like Esav, who in exchange for a single meal gave up his rights as the firstborn.

They are the Church who are ready for Christ. The true believers. There are some Christians maybe many who are not ready for Christ would they go?Some believe that he will rapture the Church before the tribulation and some believe that he will come at the end of the tribulation which is the Second Coming.

Kathi what must a Christian do to be ready for heaven?

Believe on the Lord Jesus and hang on for dear life lest He cast you out?
Or could it be Jesus opened the door for us and expects us to get ourselves in someway?
How's about we keep the commandments as He did?

Oh, I know, I know! Let me answer!
It means that you have to have read more than ___________ pages of the Bible. (Unfortunately, I can't remember WHERE that number is written in the Bible.) Oh well, I guess we just hope we DID happen to read enough.

Eugene, you have hit the nail on the head.

However, it's not the commandments of the law of Moses.

It's what God commands us to do.

Man shall not live by bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

I only do what I see my Father do...

I only say what I hear my Father say...

As many as are led by the Spirit.... these are the sons of God!

Abraham obeyed My Voice, kept My charge, My Commandments....

OK, I'll be serious for a moment.

As hard as it is to point this out, Jesus IS (It seems.) talking to His disciples in that virgins/lamps parable................................... So, it DOES seem there must be something that we (Followers) are to be doing for the coming of the day the Lord returns.

If that is so, shouldn't we identify what it is we are to be doing?

Uh oh...................................... And I have been reading the Bible instead of listening to what men think. Guess I won't be ready.

Please show us the scriptures that Noah read so that he moved with godly fear....

Or Abraham....

Which brings us to Saul of Tarsus.

Saul was full of scripture and was steady persecuting the Church.
