I agree. Why born again believers get themselves all wrapped up in the politics of this world is beyond me.
Now, that doesn't mean that believers can't discuss the issues going on with the world. But some on these boards get wound waaaaaay too tight over political positions and decisions. I've seen it get to the point of calling out derogatory names and displays of what really seem to be pretty ungodly attitudes about worldly politics.
LISTEN FOLKS!!! THE WORLD IS GOING TO HELL. IT'S ALREADY FORETOLD IN THE SCRIPTURES AND WE ARE GIVEN SEVERAL EXAMPLES THAT SHOW THAT THINGS IN THIS WORLD ARE GOING EXACTLY LIKE THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE GOING. WAKE UP!!! GOD ISN'T INTERESTED IN ANY OF HIS CHILDREN SAVING THE WORLD OR FIXING WHAT'S BROKEN WITH POLITICAL SYSTEMS. GOD ASKS US TO TELL EVERYONE WE MEET ABOUT JESUS. BUT IF THEY DON'T LISTEN, THAT'S ALSO A FULLY EXPLAINED CONSEQUENCE OF OUR TEACHING. BUT FOR THOSE WHO DO LISTEN, THEN WE SHOULD BAPTIZE THEM AND TEACH THEM ALL THAT JESUS HAS TAUGHT US.
God bless,
Ted
Amen brother.
2Peter 3:1 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:
2Peter 3:2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:
2Peter 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
2Peter 3:4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
2Peter 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
2Peter 3:6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
2Peter 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
2Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
2Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
2Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
2Peter 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
2Peter 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
2Peter 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Rev 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Rev 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
