So instead of saying 'i am trying to make up my mind' i really should be saying ' i am trying to make up my soul'???lol So the mind is not the brain? So in your world what is the difference between the brain and the mind? So where is the soul located? This is fun.:)

The brain and mind are synonyms, that's obvious. Your soul is located inside of your body along with your spirit. Since the Holy Spirit's will, mind, emotions, intuition, conscience and communion is alive and active inside our will, mind, emotions, intuition, conscience and communion, this means that the Holy Spirit is alive inside our soul, spirit and body.

Thank the Lord. :nod

Look up the word "soul" in the concordance to see that it means mind, and was used by the KJ translators for the Hebrew word "nephesh," or mind, and from the Greek Bible for the word "psyke."

Genesis 2:7

Saying that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth which is available to the "will, mind, emotions, conscience, intuition and communion" of everyone who will accept Truth does not make Truth the person.
Persons utilize Truth.

Grappler:
Interesting way to look at the Holy Spirit.

Let's examine a few of the verses that support this view:

The first one is where Christ identifies himself as Truth, in the sense of the Ideal or concept of Truth.
He says, "I am the Truth, the way, and the life" for mankind, which is exactly what makes men different from common animals.
Man thinks and can image the external world and all the creation inside his mind, if he will only see what is actually True.

Then these other passages make sense and support this view of the one singular Holy Spirit among all the lies and other possible spirits of the mind:

John1:1

In the beginning was the Word, (i.e.; Truth: [John 14:6]), and the Word, (Truth, itself), was (synonymous) with God, (i.e.; Reality), and the Word, (Truth: [John 14:6]), was (indistinguishable from Reality), God, (the almighty for all men).

2 "He," (Truth, the symbolic Word to come: [Jud 1:3]) was with God, (i.e.; the ever unfolding Reality), in the beginning, (that is, the initial unfolding of material Reality in what was the actual physical Creation).

Jn 1:3 ALL (real) THINGS, (phenomenally, i.e.; mentally), came into existence, (for man), through him, (i.e.; this concept of Truth), and apart from him, (this ideal of Truth), not even ONE (real) thing came into (actual) existence (for men).

Wow, no. There is just so much wrong here. Why have you inserted so much of your opinion into the passage? Have you actually studied the meanings behind these words and phrases?

Man thinks and can image the external world and all the creation inside his mind, if he will only see what is actually True.

Man cannot see truth without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit inside of them, God the Father's spirit is the only truth. All other gods are false brother. Not only do they see truth, they can feel it through the power of the Holy Spirit dwelling inside of them. This truth comes from having faith. We are just a mouthpiece, it is the Holy Spirit that speaks truth through us. Your mind and heart can deceive you with or without the Holy Spirit. That's why it's important to walk in the spirit and not in flesh.

What organ is the soul located in? and also could you tell me what organ the spirit is located in? You still haven't answered how the Holy Spirit is an individual being but is also divided into millions of persons....could you help me out with that?:)

Do you believe God the Father is a "person," or rather, that He exhibits what we refer to as "personhood"?

Yes.
Do you believe that he is a spirit? Do you believe that he exists everywhere, or at least everywhere he wants to?

Your soul and spirit are connected to your mind and heart. I have already answered your next question, but you didn't wanna hear what I had to say. It's possible for the Holy Spirit to be an individual among millions of people because God the Father is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent and also possesses a will, mind and emotions. God the Father and the Holy Spirit are connected. How are they connected? Proverbs 18:2 A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.

Mind/Spirit - Ephesians 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind - Heart/Spirit - Psalm 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise - Mind/Soul - Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Heart/Soul Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

He is an individual being but OF THE SAME GOD and FROM THE SAME GOD. He is an individual because every person is different. Joseph over there that is indwelled with the Holy Spirit might be closer in his walk to God than Adam is sitting next to you. The Holy Spirit is an individual because you as a person are also, with specific needs. Nobody is the same, but we worship the same God. He is divided into millions of persons because each person chose salvation. Salvation is a gift to all who believe and confess.

Jesus said "God is a spirit and we must worship him in spirit and in truth." Does God exist everywhere?? I am not pantheistic so no i don't believe God is literally everywhere. He does know all though so in a sense he is everywhere.

Ok you have demonstrated that you don't really understand what it means to be a singular person. I think i will stick with my view as the Godhead consisting of YHWH, Yeshua, and the Spirit which is the part of the Godhead that Yeshua gives to each child of YHWH. It is more like the force of the Godhead working throughout the world and in each believer...not really an individual.:wave

Yes but what does the Godhead represent, POWER! God the Father has feelings and can think Grappler, do you understand that? Again singular means the Holy Spirit has a different ROLE in us than he does God the Father and Jesus, but he belongs to one God. Who is God the Father to you? Singular as in you Grappler are a singular person, an individual because your needs are different than mine. What is the role of the Holy Spirit? Does the Holy Spirit think and feel like a person thinks and feels? Yes he does. Why are you stuck on singular? We're talking about if the Holy Spirit is a person with feelings and thought that is dwelling inside of you.

I'm not making sense to you because you're not listening. This thread went right over your head. Hi and bye. :wave

Do you believe that he is a spirit? Do you believe that he exists everywhere, or at least everywhere he wants to?
Jesus said "God is a spirit and we must worship him in spirit and in truth." Does God exist everywhere?? I am not pantheistic so no i don't believe God is literally everywhere. He does know all though so in a sense he is everywhere.
That God is omnipresent is a foundational truth of Christianity and is not at all to be equated with pantheism.

So, since God the Father is everywhere and can reveal himself in differing ways at the same time, there really is no difference in saying that the Holy Spirit may also exist within many people at the same time. And the Holy Spirit can be shown to exhibit many of those same qualities as the Father which give us reason to ascribe "personhood." But there is a thread on that already, so I won't get into it here. Hence the best explanation of all that Scripture reveals about the nature of God is that of the doctrine of the Trinity.

Jesus said "God is a spirit and we must worship him in (holy) spirit and in truth." Does God exist everywhere?? I am not pantheistic so no i don't believe God is literally everywhere. He does know all though so in a sense he is everywhere.

But6 you read this and fail to see the Trinity inherent in the language where "god", "holy spirit" (in our mind), and "Truth" (as an Ideal )all come together to make sense.

Yes,...

Since Christ personified the concept and ideal we call Truth, which was, since the beginning, with the every unfolding Reality of that first moment Truth is the image in man's mind which is a spirit, a thought, not a physical entity.

Truth and Reality are everywhere at every moment.
