I think to be true to the OT we would have to admit that angels, which satan is, can take human form. It even says this in the NT.

They might indwell a human, but they don't have the creative power to create a human form beyond an illusion, otherwise Christ's resurrected body could have been Satan in disguise.:twocents

I agree with you that angels can take on human form. I was replying to what onelove said "The son of perdition is the antichrist,ie satan himself, live and in color...No mere possession of some man...." that Satan as an angel that is spirit and has no form, but can take on the form of man.

I think you misunderstood what I said....When satan gets kicked out of Heaven,he comes here, not to posses a man,but he himself will be here, pretending to be Christ...That's the abomination...

As for God without form, were we not made in His image? And no,satan can't die a physical death, but he shall be destroyed in the lake of fire, along with all those who follow him.....

A place is not Holy unless God is present there. He makes it holy.

Matthew 24:15 "When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place (whoso readeth, let him understand:)"

The "abomination" is when Satan stands in Jerusalem, and proclaims that he is God, and the world believes it. The "desolation" is an incorrect translation into the English, which should read "desolator", and Satan is the desolator that will make the claim that he is God, the true Christ. "Desolation" is a condition, in the Hebrew manuscripts it is written, "On the wings of the desolator," this is not a condition, but a entity, a person. It is through this individual, Satan that the abomination shall come from. It is the desolator [Satan] that shall cause all but the sealed of God, to become desolate, or deceived.

Daniel 9:27; "And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and the determined shall be poured upon the desolate."

The Holy place is the place that the temple sits, and this is the subject for the very first, when the buildings of the temple were observed by the disciples, and the question of what it would be like at His second advent. This is where the desolation [Satan, the Antichrist] shall sit on mount Zion, making his abominations, or statements that he is the Christ.

The world will be deceived when Satan claims himself to be Christ, for he does have supernatural powers, and he will use them to to draw the peoples of the world to come to peace. He will say, I am Jesus whom ye have been waiting for, and I have come to bring peace to the world, and the world will be brought to peace and prosperity by Satan, the Antichrist.

That's why Christ would said, when you say peace and safety, then sudden destruction......

Either in the form of man or actually using a man, it all boils down to the fact that the son of perdition will be that of Satan's control

I think you are correct about that. satan and demonics could only appear as an illusion or indwell a human.

As far as God's angels I'm thinking of Sodom and the angels appearing as men. An the verse about we may be entertaining angels. However, I don't believe they have the power to do this themselves, it would have to be God's power. I suppose this could be called an illusion as well even though it is a physical form.

Wow, you sure added a lot to what the scripture actually says.

yet he confirmed the teaching of the sages on that. the image of nero was brought into the temple.

the temple isn't holy to god. if it became holy then the blood is negated.

Where does the scripture say that the one sitting in the temple claims to be the true Christ?

II Thessalonians 2:3 "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come [it will not be], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;"

The word "perdition" means "one that perishes". Satan and only Satan has already been condemned to die [to perish] by God. Satan's judgment day has come already back in the first earth age, and he will have no part in the Great White Throne judgment, or any other judgment yet to come. He has already been judged, and sentence by God to death "perdition" [Ezekiel 28 covers this judgment].

II Thessalonians 2:4 "Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."

Daniel 8:23 "And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and under standing dark sentences, shall stand up."

Daniel 8:24 "And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy People."
