I cant help but think of the covering the Lord gave the 'Children''' He covered them by day with shelter from the sun and by night with warmth. :) And they were like us often brats..

So you don't know what Zech 14:16-19 is describing. Neither do I, I was hoping you would. :shrug

for_his_glory I owe you an apology for this post. I went back and read yours again and you do say that those verses are what is literally going on. So do you see this as during the trib or the final battle?

I am confused which is it?

I found this what is written below on a website when I was studying about the third Temple and this is why I only believe the inner court will be built. I also believe within the third temple that sacrifices will begin again as those Jews who go to worship in the temple have yet to recognize Jesus as the Messiah. We, through the blood sacrifice of Christ who believe in his death and resurrection, are now the temple of God not made by hands as now we have the Holy Spirit dwelling within us.

Here's something to think about, if you think that the Temple to be built in Jerusalem soon will be exactly as outlined in Ezekiel 40-48. The area where the Temple in Ezekiel is located is 500 reeds square as stated in Ezekiel 42:15-20. 500 reeds is about 1.5 km or 1 mile square on each side, being more exactly stated as closer to 5000 feet on each side. The current Temple Mount is approximately 500 yards on the east and west sides, 280 yards on the south side, and 340 yards on the north side. It is impossible to believe that a huge mammoth undertaking would be done in Jerusalem before the Messiah comes, to enlarge the Temple Mount to the size mentioned in Ezekiel 42. In order to do this, the Kidron valley would have to be filled in and perhaps part of the old city of Jerusalem destroyed to build up the Temple Mount. Besides we are told in Revelation 11 that only the inner court of the Temple will be used.

Here is the website and article this quote is taken from. Paragraph 11.

so if my kin is there they are less holy then I? I am a jew. I have lost kin. kindly tell me how im more holy then they when paul a man more jewish then all of today said he was in need of Christ and found him.

No they would not be less holy as it's not through the law that makes anyone righteous, but by the righteousness of faith. (let's not make this a law vs grace as that's another topic)

Rom 4:13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
Rom 4:14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:
Rom 4:15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.
Rom 4:16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

No problem Deborah and you need not apologize :). Even I have to read things over and over to understand what another is saying.
I do not believe in a seven year trib and believe we will go through all things of Rev up to the time when Christ returns in the air and we are caught up with him. At that time the second battle will be raged against Satan as Jesus cast him into the lake of fire and ushering down the New Heaven and New Jerusalem.

I should have also said I do not believe in a pretrib rapture

Thank you for clearly defining your view. :)

Psa 61:2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
Psa 61:3 For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.
Psa 61:4 I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.

David's tabernacle is his faith in God.

then they don't need the temple. they are no different then the church. the temple isn't needed. that is my point.

My only thought about rebuilding the Temple would be that of the Jews that are being gathered back to Jerusalem to have one single place to worship instead pf being scattered, plus a place for the abomination of desolation to take place when Satan will give power to the beast to control him as he sits on the mount of the congregation.

Isa 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

Worship who... certainly not God with animal sacrifices ... :shrug

Yes to worship God by making burnt offerings before Him and also in keeping that of the festivals after the order of the tribe of Levite according to the Levtical Priesthood. Not necessarily in an actual temple as shown in Ezra 3:1-6. Many Jews have always been trying to regain the temple mount after they allowed the enemy to take it away, but for myself I see no reason to literally rebuild one.

Whether the son of perdition takes a seat in a literal temple or that of a seat in a religious Gov controlled system, which could also be an actual temple, I am not sure of. I do know that the The Temple Mount Institute is pushing to regain the temple mount to rebuild it as they even have the corner stone ready to be laid, but I'm not sure of their purpose is in doing so, but can see it as taking back what the enemy was allowed to steal.

2Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

I sure see blood sacrifices as an insult to the Lamb of God...

I don't know what you are referring to when you say they allowed the enemy to take it away. When was that?

Do Jews want to resume sacrifices?
Orthodox Jews do. There are several places in our daily prayer services where we pray for the restoration of the Temple and the resumption of its rituals, including the rituals of sacrifice. The Orthodox Yom Kippur service includes a lengthy recollection of the Temple service, mourns its loss and longs for its restoration. Other movements of Judaism have removed these portions from the liturgy. http://www.jewfaq.org/qorbanot.htm
In this same article they say that Jews believe they are forgiven with sacrifices because they see how the whole city of Nineveh was forgiven when Jonah preached to them. Wow, interesting they see only that and don't put that together with Jesus, seeing Nineveh was a gentile Assyrian city.
