What are You Trusting in for Your Salvation?

The book of James is questionable. Many believe that it should not have been included in the canons of the New Testament Bible. Hope and faith are closely related, Romans 8:24-25.
Who has authority to decide? The so-called reformers said scripture was the sole authority? Thanks

You must be obedient to the gospel. Being obedient infers that action is required; you must do something about it once you've heard the gospel and believed it. Belief is the 1st step which then requires faith, but that's not all that's necessary to be obedient. You must confess your belief (Romans 10:9) as did the Ethiopian eunuch. You must also repent as the Jews were told on tge day of Pentecost. And finally, you must be baptized for the remission of sins as the Jews also were told to do. Having done these things, you've fully obeyed the gospel. God's grace then saves you.

2 Thes 1:7-8

7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

The is where I put my trust and faith in my salvation, by having been obedient to the gospel.
Not quite, one must also endure to the end Matt 24:13 continues to believe Jn 3:16 and abide in Christ Jn 15:1-5 then there is the need to increase in faith hope and charity and all virtues and in grace, prayer, worship, alms, fasting etc. thanks

The book of James was directed to law keeping Jews, James 1:1, not Gentile Christians. I am sure that James came into a better understanding of the Gospel and justification by faith at a later date.
Only hebrews need believe and obey the book of hebrews?

God gave us a book, you can either believe the book or you can believe a man, who is a sinner.

1) Christ founded a church to teach and sanctify all men unto eternal salvation: the true faith and religion is “reveled by Christ”. Matt 28:19 Jn 8:32

2) God handed out a collection of books and sent you on a spiritual scavenger hunt to fund the truth:

The proposition of scripture alone means alone nothing added, that includes reading, interpretation, meaning, etc.

Thanks

The book of Hebrews was written to Hebrew Christians that were struggling to believe that Jesus is the Christ.

Mathew was only written for men named Mathew?
Same for Mark, Luke, and John, acts is only for apostles?
Acts only for apostles?
Roman’s and the rest are only written for those men, or cities?
Peter and James only for men named Peter and James?
Hebrews only for hebrews?
Revelation for servants?

This is humerus I hope

Not humorous at all. Jesus is the savior of the whole world, John 3:17. Salvation has been provided for everyone, Hebrews 2:9.

Amen! Lk 2:10-11 Jn 1:29
so all scripture applies to all men, don’t forget to read Dan 13?

A promise from God is a sacred oath and that is a sacrament
Lk 1:72
Lk 24:49
Acts 1:4
Acts 2:33
Acts 2:38-39
Rom 1:2

“Faith alone” cannot be ministered unto you.

Jn 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God

2 pet 1: 11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Thanks
Salvation begins by faith alone by the hearing of the word preached to us to know that Christ is our faith as no one can work for their salvation, Romans 10:5-17. What we are to trust in within God's salvation is that of Christ Jesus who gave His life that whosoever believes in Him will have life eternal, John 3:16-17. Our faith in Christ leads us to the continued works of faith by picking up our cross waking in the footsteps of Christ Jesus, Luke 14:27.

Are you aware the ONLY place in Scripture where the words "faith alone" appear are a condemnation of it?
In relation to justification by faith alone, the place of works is found in Ephesians chapter 2. Justification is by grace through faith, not from yourself and not by works. It is by faith alone since all human efforts are excluded here, Ephesians 2:8, 9. Ephesians goes on to say that every person who has faith is to produce good works according to God's plan Ephesians 2:10. We know also that faith without works is dead faith. These works, however, are not a cause for forgiveness, but a result of forgiveness. Faith alone justifies, but faith is never alone as it is followed by good works. The works of love are the goal of the saving faith, 1 Timothy 1:5.

James 1:16-18 clearly teaches that the recipients of the letter have been justified by God through the saving gospel which is Christ Jesus who is our faith. James also taught in James 2:14-26 that faith is dead within us if not followed by good works as it takes faith and good works to justify us. It begins with faith alone when we first accept Jesus as Lord and Savior entering into a better covenant by God's grace and then we become his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

By whose standards and who are the many that says it should have never been added to the cannons of the NT?

Books of the Bible only become questionable when others do not understand them, but I am not going to make this thread about James.

Jesus Christ founded the new covenant church for the salvation of all men! (Jn 1:16-17) Christ is the truth! (Jn 14:6) Christ and his church are one!
(Acts 9:4 eph 4:4 eph 5:32)
The church is the pillar of truth
(1 Tim 3:15) that must teach all men (Matt 28:19) without error guided by the Holy Spirit
(Jn 16:13)

Thru the grace of God in the sanctification of souls applied in the seven sacraments!

Christ established the sacraments as the primary means of grace!

Sacramental life: Jn 1:16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. Jn 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Christ founded the church for the salvation of souls!
Teach and sanctify all men unto eternal salvation!
Matt 28:19

Jesus Christ “did not” establish a church and send the Holy Spirit to cos spiritual blindness, anarchy, and chaos!
Having changed the spirit of truth into a spirit of error, and the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic church the bride of Christ into a harlot of 30,000 sects .
Thanks
Christ never established what you call "the holy catholic church" or any other church as God does not recognize any organized religions. The first church established on the day of Pentecost was made up of Jews and then later down the road were Gentiles grafted into the branch of Israel so that Israel would be brought to jealousy as God made Himself a people out of the Gentiles who also believed in Jesus, Romans 11:11.

The true body of Christ are those who believe in Him as Christ being the head of the body, Romans 12:5; 1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Colossians 1:18.

James was a Judaizer. A Judaizer is one that believes in Jesus, but also believes that you must keep the law of Moses. The book of James was directed to law keeping Jews, not Gentile Christians, James 1:1. Paul had problems with James, Galatians 2:11-21 also Acts 15:1-21.
None of those scriptures you used here do not even mention James. By reading James 1:1 we see clearly who James was.
