  • Focus on the Family

    Strengthening families through biblical principles.

Focus on the Family addresses the use of biblical principles in parenting and marriage to strengthen the family.

Yes, you've said this before but still you've not shown what you're asserting here. Instead, you've tried to misrepresent my words, or ignore them entirely, or use loaded questions to insinuate things about my thinking that are not actually present in what I've written. When I look through our exchange, this slippery rhetorical stuff you've employed is the only dishonesty that I see.

I very much doubt it.
So thankful for this question: Why would a demon want to cause itself pain as it infests a human? Have you ever heard of a masochist? They somehow get off on pain.

Yes, I'm well aware of what a masochist is.

You must entirely assume that demons are masochists, however. There is nothing in God's word that indicates that demons are masochists. But the Bible does say that the devil is a thief, a liar, a murderer and a devourer (John 10:10; John 8:44; 1 Peter 5:8).

Demons take delight, it seems, in making others hurt (Luke 9:37-42), but they don't seem keen to endure pain themselves, cowering in fear in the presence of Christ, the One who will cast them all into the Lake of Fire at the End (Matthew 25:41; Revelation 19:20).
