I don't feel He is hand selecting who will or will not be tormented eternally.

Jesus saw my faith in Him and heard my prayers and reacted. I have believed with absolute certainty in Jesus my whole life. Where does such certainty come from? As is written not by power nor by might but by my Spirit says the Lord.

There was a time I believed with certainty and did love Him but did but have the Spirit of Christ in me as I was baptized as an infant and did not receive the Spirit in that baptism. I called on the Lord for that gift and made a firm commitment to Him at that time. Its as if He was waiting patiently on me than saw my heart's desire and stated "come".
