What Does Jesus Say About A Saved Person Becoming Unsaved ?

Idk what Jesus says

If a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits sin, he will die for it; because of the sin he has committed he will die. But if a wicked man turns away from the wickedness he has committed and does what is just and right, he will save his life
So I guess He stated this as well about those same people.
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.
This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel
after that time,” declares the Lord.
“I will put my law in their minds
and write it on their hearts.
I will be their God,
and they will be my people.
34 No longer will they teach their neighbor,
or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’
because they will all know me,
from the least of them to the greatest,”
This is eternal life

Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

For this is what the Lord has commanded us:

“‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles,
that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’[c]”
48 When the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and honored the word of the Lord; and all who were appointed for eternal life believed.

You should know Jesus always does His Fathers will.
All
those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. 38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day.

They will not continue to sin for God's Spirit is in them. They are no longer slaves to sin.

No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God.

Jesus was from above. He is the mark of perfection. I consider myself working toward that perfection.
I consider myself KEEPING my perfection.
I was reborn of God, so how could that be imperfect to start with ?
I have the Spirit of Christ in me and live as one believing in Him.
Good.
The only thing you can see is that you don't know me not that I'm a sinner. God gives His Holy Spirit to those who love and obey Him. If one could lose that gift, it wouldn't be forever, would it?
It would depend on whether or not a true repentance from sin ever followed the sin.
Yet warnings are given throughout the NT to all. OSAS was not preached even if I believe I have already been appointed to eternal life. I am convinced in that.
If you hold fast to what you have, you will one day realize your eternal life started some time back.

Doesn't matter it's what God states. In Christ I am Holy and blameless.
I consider myself still working towards perfection.
Love does no harm to one's neighbor and fulfills all the law.
I keep the commandments and live like one who believes in Christ. I know Him and He knows me.

Do you have a version of perfection that goes beyond sinlessness ?

Sounds perfect to me.
Those that keep their perfection will not become 'unsaved'.

In the "Loving others" as "Jesus loved" is always a continuous goal of growth in my mind. Seasoning does come with age.

The gift is "forever" as in appointed to eternal life by Gods will. Born from above by the Spirit. If not forever than Jesus was mistaken. He uses truth as we know.

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

I don't really consider loving others as Jesus loved as a goal.
A goal would be to find more and more folks to love as Jesus loved.

The gift of eternal life is contingent on our obedience to Him.
If we quit obeying, the gift is gone.

In regard to perfection, I consider it. You must be young. Be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect are you there yet?

Jesus loved His enemies as well. "Father forgive them for they know not what they do"
I don't have to find people to love. The world is full of people.
The gift of eternal life is contingent on our obedience to Him.
If we quit obeying, the gift is gone.
Being born from above is a judgment by God already made. Its forever as in appointed to eternal life.
That gift too is contingent on our obedience to Him.
Yes it is. But those born of God cannot continue to sin because God's Spirit is in them. They cannot unknow that relationship either as in walk away in unbelief.
"Those who hold to Gods commands and have the testimony of Jesus" - Warnings are part of the process to keep them safe from the evil one. Truthful knowledge. That's why I think its unwise to preach OSAS even though I'm convinced in my walk with the Lord it is so.

This is the work the Father desires/requires. "To believe in the one He sent"

I think Jesus will follow His Fathers will. We have been chosen by God before coming to Jesus.
All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out. 38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day.

I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.

In regard to perfection, I consider it. You must be young. Be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect are you there yet?
I'll be 70 in June, so fairly young when measured against eternity.
Jesus loved His enemies as well. "Father forgive them for they know not what they do"
I don't have to find people to love. The world is full of people.
You said it was a goal of yours, so now you realize that God has supplied all the people you san handle !
Being born from above is a judgment by God already made. Its forever as in appointed to eternal life.
It is still contingent on continued obedience to Him.
One sin will show someone they are not really born of God.

I totally agree.

Anyone who believes in Jesus will also believe He will judge righteously...and that so sin will go unpunished.
I think Jesus will follow His Fathers will. We have been chosen by God before coming to Jesus.
That idea is for the Calvinism threads.
As God knows everything, He knows who will accept Him and submit themselves to Him.
I don't feel He is hand selecting who will or will not be tormented eternally.

That makes it easy to say that those ho are committing sin are not His.

Yes, but those who are born again are a new creation and will obey His commands and hold to the testimony of Jesus.

There is no sin left to punish for those in Christ. We are made clean. Washed and sanctified through rebirth by the Spirit of God.

I think God can see who has faith to believe in Him and that is a good start.
But it is clear we are chosen. When not so much. I just state I have loved and believed in the Lord as far back as my memory goes. My Mother steered me to Christ from my beginning. Jesus saw my faith in Him and heard my prayers and reacted. I have believed with absolute certainty in Jesus my whole life. Where does such certainty come from? As is written not by power nor by might but by my Spirit says the Lord.

"Many are invited" but "few are chosen"

If God is one's Father than they will love Jesus.
If one belongs to God then they will hear what He says.
Those who listen and learn from the Father go to Jesus.
All those who the Father gives to Jesus will go to Him.
That makes it easy to say that those ho are committing sin are not His.
Those who say they know Him but do not do what He says are liars.
Many give lip service, but their hearts are far from God. Those who really belong to Jesus live as those who believe in Him and obey Him. Those who believe in Him and are born of God have overcome the world.

On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.

Yes, but those who are born again are a new creation and will obey His commands and hold to the testimony of Jesus.

True that.
No sin to be punished for those in Christ Jesus because have an advocate to receive our repentance for sin unto the Father.

1John 2:1
And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

Yes, but those who are born again are a new creation and will obey His commands and hold to the testimony of Jesus.
True !

How long have you been a non-sinner ?

True !
How long have you been a non-sinner ?
There was a time I believed with certainty and did love Him but did but have the Spirit of Christ in me as I was baptized as an infant and did not receive the Spirit in that baptism. I called on the Lord for that gift and made a firm commitment to Him at that time. Its as if He was waiting patiently on me than saw my heart's desire and stated "come". That was a very long time ago as men live. So, to answer your question "since I was born of God".

The starting point of this " very long time ago " would be the last sin you ever committed then.
That very last day you committed that very last sin obviously even now after such a very long time being painfully memorable to you.
What was this last sin you committed that marked such a turning point a very long time ago ?

Nothing major but not for you to know nor relevant to the thread. I was just ready to commit to Him. Sin was left behind at the new birth and as written, "a pledge of a good conscience towards God."

"Those born of God do not continue to sin because Gods Spirit is in them".

Based on your statement most likely your last sin was of those that cannot been seen by people but only by God.
Take for instance looking at a person in sexual lust.
So that would mean starting a very, very long time ago you claim to have never looked upon a person other than your spouse in sexual desire . correct ?

Are you testifying about yourself or others? Stay with the NT.
But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin.

It is you who made the boast of yourself "not sinning for a very long Time" as directly pertaining to the NT.
Yes?
No?

Many people claiming they never sin would not even consider looking at another person in lust to be a sin.
When such a broad based boast as "I never sin" is made some clarification is certainly warranted, especially when a person's very salvation hangs in the balance ?
Yes? N0?
Or would you rather that such boasts should just be accepted at face value no questions asked ?
Depending on what an individual considered not to be a sin they could be like you boasting of being sinless and on their way to hell without even knowing it .
Yes? No?
That would be tragic , would it not ?

I always find it telling how consistent those who make a broad sweeping non-specific boast of being sinless are in recoiling at any attempt to further unpack the specifics of what all is included in such a boast.

Do I have lustful intent for a married women? NO
Apparently by your own testimony you think it's not possible so you do.
I will not be interrogated by you.
