What Is Baptism?

you want to decide what to pick and choose what you will or will not accept in or out of scripture - this has already been proved - what is your authority for doing so - it was not given you to bind and loose etc - as I have already stated just make sure you do not lose or forfeit or surrender your passport - be assured if still a Christian you will know the password - this is your salvation - twinc
 
If someone wanted proof positive that water baptism was not the 'main' thing referred to when the word is used(in most passages), they need to look no further than their own eyes on this forum.

I'm willing to bet that most everyone here has been under the waters. Yet we all see, hear, believe different things. Most people wonder why the believers of the early church were so connected. I think we instantly believe it was the 'governing' of authority in the church.

I say it was because they were all of one mind. They were all under one teaching. Simply put, they all believed the same things about God the Father, Jesus the Christ, and the Holy Spirit. How was this possible? Because the disciples took what Jesus told them seriously.

Somewhere the devil came in and decided a good way to disrupt the process is to break up the unity of believers. What's the best way to do that? How did God confuse the people at the Tower of Babel?

Satan understood all you have to do is eliminate the unity of doctrine. How was this doctrine given? By following the commandment of Christ to baptize disciples. Easy switch. Since the same word can be used for different things - making pickles, person going in water, immersion in a doctrine, etc - all satan had to do was confuse the meaning.

Confuse the meaning of baptism, and you confuse the teaching it brings. Now it's nothing more to some people than getting wet - when Christ, God among men, did it to fulfill all righteousness.

My sole desire for you is that you not magnify your condemnation. In Duet 4:2, Duet 12:32, and in Rev 22:19 that we shall neither add nor subtract from, the Word of God. If God has recorded a thing once we must live by it! If God says a thing twice, it is very important thaqt we pay attention to it, God has highlighted it. If God says a thing three or more times, double or more highlighted it, you will die a miserable and very lonely, the most despicable of eternal deaths. in Matthew 25 39-41 we find what I am trying hard to be nice and warn you about, most of all.

I plead with you, come out of your self esteem and stop teaching Heresy, it is a sin that is forgivable,,, this side of Eternity but not during it's span for mankind. And realize it or not, you have taken the cloak of a Teacher on your sholders and your posts do teach the weak in their faith, even if you do not mean to making you responsible if they loose their way.

it was not I who misled you as just another of the millions who have been misled and now misleading others , known as wolves in christian clothing, down the centuries claiming special H/S inspiration, guidance and indwelling and giving the H/S and Christianity a bad name - just take the good test and be convinced even if not by me - twinc

I have no idea what you are on but whatever it is I suggest you stop taking it.

I further suggest that you listen to the help/advice that you have been given by Godly people who are reaching out to you even though you call them liars etc.

There is no password that we need to remember to get into heaven. If there is such a password as you believe then you would be telling people what it is. But you don't cause there is not one.

Our passport to heaven is Jesus full stop.
When we stand before God it is our faith in Jesus that saves us, not a password.

Listen to Godly counsel you are being given.

being sadly fed a load of garbage - you are determined to spread it around - it seems you have base over apex Christianity - just full stop with you and your Godly counsel crew and full speed ahead with Jesus - btw passwords are not usually freely passed around to one and all - twinc

no problem = I thought some one might just ask - so long ago our very first Pope advised us as at 1Peter3:15 to be prepared to give an answer to any who ask and my results and conclusions, after taking the good test were pretty similar to those of Paul as at [Rmns 7:18-25] - twinc

Who was your first Pope? Peter? I didn't figure you to be a Catholic person?

First Pope of who? The Roman Catholic Church?

Far as I know they are the only ones with popes right? I have never been that interested so I can't say I've dug very deep.

And a host of smaller denominations that don't receive recognition
