Why I believe SDA's (& other sabbatarians) Are In Error

cj said:
You can't write it as doing so would be a rejection of the silliness of your trying to "keep" the Jewsih weekly Sabbath.
There is no such thing, as a 'Jewish' weekly sabbath !

The 7th day sabbath is, God's ...HOLY DAY.

Throughout the Bible, Christ has laid claim to it as HIS !

True believers in Christ look to Christ as atonement instead of rules and regulations. Therefore, we are no longer slaves to the law and everyday in the week is now considered alike as Paul tells us in Colossians.
Only true believers keep the Sabbath out of love for Jesus Christ.
Those who will not...keep the sabbath here, in this world...will reject also, in the New earth (Isaiah 66:22,23).

Obedience, is what will determine who will end up in heaven..... Romans 6:16 "Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness ?"

John here: Had you ever tried to understand Revelation 1:10 with John being in The Lord's 'rest' day, every day?

No Jay T, God's choice and the humility of a man's heart will be the the determining factors.

_______

Then Acts 5:32 finds one Born Again without the Holy Ghost?? Sounds as either one of two choices, if one really believes this?

The two choices finds one not knowing what Born Again means, or they are seen in the Hebrews 6:6 class already.

Yes, Man has the choice to obey, or disobey God's commandments, and that is...the determining factor, in ones getting into heaven.
Revelation 22:14 "Blessed [are] they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city".

Humility ?
When one decides one will do his own will, against what God has said.....there is no humility.

Jay T said:

No, it isn't.

The determining factor is found in the scripture you quoted (but missed the point of)....

Revelation 22:14 "Blessed [are] they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city".

"BLESSED".... are they..... that do...

To "do" God's commandments one must first be blessed of God.

See JayT,..... God is always the instigator.

And how is He able to be this to us?

He humbles us,.... because we are unable to humble ourselves.

You have no clue as to what God's will is.

Fact is, the bible tells us this.

You think you see God's truth when you read the scriptures but all you see is your concepts of what you are reading.

The scriptures take on the color of the glases you are reading them through.

But you don't understand this because you don't want to.

In other words, you lack humility. And thus, can never be found in obedience, for obedience comes out of humility.

It sounds like some here 'post' no scripture to study, just the attack of what they think is inside of ones mind! And then talk of 'No humility'???

Yeah, really, cj, I think you need to really calm down. It's like everyone that disagrees with you has something sinful or evil about them that you, being all knowing, must point out to them as judge...

Let me show you how easy it is to discredit your speaking Johnny Boy,....

John the Baptist said:

Wrong.

Anyone who knows my posts will also know that I have no problem including scripture where relevant.

So,.... your comment "sounds" more like sour grapes (read, offended feelings),.... and...... an attempt to stir up something else, albeit in an underheanded way.

Really Johnny Boy,... shame on you, I thought you were above that kind of immature behavior.

But lets continue,...

John the Baptist said:
.... just the attack of what they think is inside of ones mind!

Again,.... wrong.

I contend with what is said in the post. I don't attempt to read someones mind Johnny B.

Johnny B,.... everything I said to JayT can be honestly applied to any one of us at various times; see, I know quite well that we're all in a process of perfection.

Meaning JohnBoy,..... none of us are there yet, including you.

John the Baptist said:
And then talk of 'No humility'???

Look,..... go build your strawman somewhere else JohnnyB, it means nothing to me.

Try reading all the speaking that I placed around the above phrase you falsely suggest I made.

Yes,.... false witness falsely. You,... John the Baptist,..... false.

Big Boy, I never used the words "No humility".

By the way,...... did you notice that you used no scripture in your last post?

I guess what you say about me must also be appropriate to you, right?

Whenever you're ready JB, let me know, we can talk scripture.

I think the evidence speaks for itself. You don't have to have an IQ above 50 to determine who is the one lacking in humility...

Wavy, when you got something relevant to say let me know.

Honestly, your last two posts sounded really whiney.

Hi! :fadein:

This is one of the best reasons for not having forum censorship!
It does not take long for any sincere person to know if any 'message carrier' has any Truth. See 1 John 4:6. But surely Titus 3:9-11 identifies us?

And sure, if there are others that are interested in the Thread Subject, then we should not let the posts do the devils trick of attacking the person rather than stay the course of the 'message'. Jay T + others had some good scripture posted! But it is the devil's work do divert the thinking to a poster thenselves by some 2 Corinthians 4:2 way. Regardless of who it is that is doing this.

---John

What was the topic of this thread? :-? This whole page has been little more than a flame fest. Attacking people has never changed anyone's mind yet. We Christians should know that. I expect attacks but when the conversation gets down to nothing but attacks then the whole purpose of our conversation has been defeated.

^^^I agree. It's funny, but this thread turned from the topic on the first page, if I remember correctly.

That is the way that the devil works! Lets say that WHEN God Commanded 'mankind' from the day that he was created, to keep Holy His Blessed & Set Aside Holy 7th day Sabbath, then you see the diversion of anything & everything.. (that is 'Nothing New under the sun') used to state that the God Christ did away with His Memorial of creation.
Such as Daniel 7:25's Eternal Truth!

And a 'g'od that does change, a 'g'od that is not the same yesterday, today and forever?? While the Word of God does tell us: "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and FOREVER" Hebrews 13:8-9 verse 9? A changing Christ is a strange devilish doctrine! Also Malachi 3:6

How does the devil do that??? By telling the old man here that he is the problem, can't 'see' can't hear, blind, dumb, or whatever? :fadein: and in every 'evil' spiritual way to focus on man & not the Eternal Word of God and His Eternal Covenant! Hebrews 13:20

Oh, I think I have some idea. Eccl. 12:13 "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this [is] the whole [duty] of man".

AND......I do understand this Bible text, very well.....

1 John 2:3 "And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him".

This is the purpose of Jesus Christ....the first some 30+ years of His life.... John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ cannot ....be separated from, keeping the Commandments (Law of God).

And for the intellectual cripple who wrote theat there is no mention of Sabbath as a day od the week in the NT. Maybe you should read Acts a bit more closely as there are a many occasions that it mentions that Paul met with believers on the Sabbath.

You really should know what you are talking about before you write down this type of tripe.

Rad.
