So John did not have the Holy Spirit as we understand it today.
Acts 1:15; 2:1-4, 41 John and all who were gathered together in the upper room on the day of Pentecost that numbered 120 men and women were indwelled with the Holy Spirit. On the day of Pentecost after Peter spoke to the crowd there were added 3000 more that were baptized in the Holy Spirit.

This is also for Elihoenai

I thought he was asking about John the Baptist.
Maybe because he posted a verse from the O.T. and John was the last prophet from the O.T.

Anyway,,,my bad, I think.
John the Apostle definitely had the Holy Spirit.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I would of hoped that @Eilhoenai would give us who is teaching him in error, but he refuses.

One thing I did learn is that the Jordon River does not flow like it did during the days of John the Baptist and is no longer a fresh water river and very poor quality of water that is very unhealthy with many health risk factors.

Sure. It's not as full as it used to be.
Also, Jesus would never teach to do something that is not possible for ALL to do.
(as I said in my previous post).

All that is needed for baptism is water and the form IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, THE SON AND THE HOLY SPIRIT.
Sometimes even full immersion is not possible.....

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to clarify my statement on the previous post.

Are you a JW?
If so, you're welcome to post here.
But you will not be welcomed to state that Jesus is not God.
Please read the Statement of Faith.

Isaiah 43:10-12 Young's Literal Translation

10 Ye [are] My witnesses, an affirmation of Jehovah, And My servant whom I have chosen, So that ye know and give credence to Me, And understand that I [am] He, Before Me there was no God formed, And after Me there is none.

11 I -- I [am] Jehovah, And besides Me there is no saviour.

12 I -- I declared, and saved, and proclaimed, And there is no stranger with you, And ye [are] My witnesses, an affirmation of Jehovah, And I [am] God.

We are outcast from the denominational and non-denominations Churches. We totally reject Catholicism and Protestantism.

Apparently, the Jehovah Witness denomination does not consider themselves Protestant and disagree with teachings of Roman Catholic Church. From what we have learnt of the JW denomination they are not Real Yahweh/Jehovah Witnesses.

The Holy Spirit always existed, of course.
The difference is that in the N.T. we can be indwelt with the Holy Spirit...
This was not true in the O.T.
Jesus promised us the Holy Spirit as a true helper in
John 16:7
. 7“But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.

Jesus calls the Holy Spirit THE HELPER.
The cross has made this change.

So John did not have the Holy Spirit as we understand it today.
But Jesus said he was the greatest of all prophets....he certainly
had the Holy Spirit.

How do YOU think this change has come about?
Do you think it HAS come about?
Do you only ask questions and never answer them?

Luke 1:13-15 King James Version

13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.

14 And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth.

15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.

Real change comes when the teachings of Yeshua/Jesus are truly followed. The Devil/Satan and Sin are utterly Conquered/Destroyed when you truly follow the teachings of Yeshua/Jesus. Yeshua/Jesus did John's Baptism and you must do likewise to be Real Disciple.

You can use all the scripture you want, but none of it supports any fact of having to be baptized in the Jordon River. If you believe this then you would show us proof in the scriptures.

Matthew 3:13 King James Version

13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.

The Son is proof.

I may be wrong about somethings and will admit it when I am, but will never accept any possibilities trying to read into the scripture words that are not there.

Sorry, but who is the "we" in your statement?

BTW, still waiting for the scripture about being immersed in the Jordon River in order to be saved.

The "We" I'm referring to is the body of believers, anywhere they might be, that has heard and promotes the original teachings of Yeshua/Jesus.

Of course there are fakes that claim they are Christian as no one is denying that. This is why we are taught to Spiritual discern truth from error. I don't know who teaches you these false doctrines you are bringing in here as you will not even tell us who your associations are with that teach you.

Yes, we must Spiritually discern truth from error. Suffice to say what we have been rejected from the denominational and non-denominational Churches.

And the enemies of God will keep on making false claims about Christ until Christ returns and final judgement is made. We who are Spiritually born again, indwelled with the Holy Spirit through the baptism of Christ (not John the baptist) are instructed to watch out for the enemy so we are not seduced by the false doctrines that are being taught.

If God didn't say it then I do not believe what man says as there is only one doctrine and that is the doctrine of Christ. Disciples of Christ are those who have picked up their cross for the last 2000 years to follow in His footsteps taking the Gospel of God's grace out into the world.
2 Timothy 3:13 King James Version

13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

Watch carefully for deceivers.

If you want to be immersed in polluted water that is hazardous to your health then by all means if that is what you think is going to save you, but Ephesians 2:8 disagrees with your teaching one must be saved being immersed in the Jordon River.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Ephesians 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Why do you dispute this?

Matthew 3:13 King James Version

13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.

The Son is proof.
There is no proof there that states all must be baptized in the Jordon river. You need the full context of why He (Jesus) being without sin would have to be baptized by John whose baptism was for the remission of sin.

Mat 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
Mat 3:12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

It is not clear in scripture that Jesus ever baptized anyone in water even though He first came to John's water baptism as a fulfillment of prophecy as He had to identify with humanity even though He had no sin. This was the beginning of Christ ministry as the Holy Spirit fell down on Him that day as God gave Him full power and authority here on earth and there after Jesus went about teaching the disciples as it was not Jesus who the Pharisees heard that He baptized more than John did, John 4:1-3 but His disciples baptizing others in water for remission of sin after the death of John the Baptist as all together they would have baptized others in water for the remission of sin then John could at one time. Jesus could not baptize anyone in the Holy Spirit until the day of Pentecost after He ascended up to the Father and the Father sent down the indwelling Holy Spirit, Acts 2.

Amen!!!

Speculation is for Speculative Freemasonry.
Speculation is for all who have no Spiritual understanding or knowledge given only by the Holy Spirit as many would rather be led around like a bull with a ring in its nose accepting everything that mans doctrines teaches them. The word of God holds only absolutes as He alone is infallible in giving the Holy Spirit what to teach all who have Spiritual ears to hear what the Spirit of God has already spoke.

The "We" I'm referring to is the body of believers, anywhere they might be, that has heard and promotes the original teachings of Yeshua/Jesus.
You said: "We are not seeing what you are seeing."

If you are not seeing what I and many other Spirit filled Christians are seeing and not only seeing what is written, but understand what has already been written, without adding to or taking away from the word of God as many do, then it is upon you to seek truth, but not man's delusion of truth.

Yes, we must Spiritually discern truth from error. Suffice to say what we have been rejected from the denominational and non-denominational Churches.
I am neither denominational/non- denominational, Catholic or Protestant, but only a Spiritually born again from above child of God indwelled with His Holy Spirit. It's all about having a personal relationship with Christ through the Spiritual new birth as man can not save us, a church or Pastor can not save us, but only by God's grace through faith to whosoever will believe in Christ and endure until the end are those who will be saved. John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8, Matthew 24:13.

There is that "we" again. Why have you been rejected from the denominational and non denominational church's? Have they literally kicked you out of their doors? As far as I know I have the right to walk in any church door, but if the Holy Spirit is not present then I am the one who rejects their religion.
