Jesus said He did not come to abolish the Law,
not the smallest letter or stroke (markings used to write Hebrew).
Matthew 5:17
17“Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill.
18“For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished.
Paul said we are not under the Law but are under grace.
Romans 6:14
14For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace.
Is this a conflict in the New Testament?
1. What did Jesus mean by saying that He came to fulfill the Law?
2. What is the difference between the Law and Grace?
3. Does Grace nullify the Law? (Romans 3:31)
4. Does any of this have anything to do with the Covenants?
not the smallest letter or stroke (markings used to write Hebrew).
