As i said earlier i believe but i want no part of christianity
I call myself a Christian as the word is to mean Christlike, but so many have tarnished that name so horrendously by arguing and debating their own man made doctrines in so much that many want nothing to do with it as they see others coming against each other calling out liars, blasphemers, child of Satan being your father of lies. I never knew how hateful so called Christians could be against another in the so called battle of "I am right, you are wrong, your not even a Christian, nor do you know what the Bible says" attitudes with each other until I started coming into Christian forums many years ago.

It's not about being a Christian anymore, but all about being Spiritually born again indwelled with the Holy Spirit of promise who is the only one that can teach us all truths. It's about having a personal relationship with Jesus fellowshipping with Him getting to know who He is and what He has already done for us.

For God so loved davado and for_his_glory that He gave His only begotten son that was led like a Lamb to the slaughter so we can now have eternal life with Him instead of being cast into the lake of fire. There was a great Evangelist many years ago named Kathryn Kuhlman that I can still hear her words today "only believe". Don't believe in man or the doctrines they teach, keep your focus on believing in Christ Jesus and what He has already taught.

It saddens me to see what Christianity has come to be in the eyes of others and many that want nothing to do with it. I get it. I can't even count how many times I walked away from it all and wanted nothing to do with it, but was always drawn back through the Holy Spirit. I had to get to the place where I chucked almost everything I was taught by others and had to clear my mind and start all over again with just me, God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the Bible being the word of God. I started praying and asking the Holy Spirit to teach me as I started reading the Bible again, but with a new light being the light of Christ and His pure doctrine, not man's flavor of doctrine as there is only one being the word of God. I'm not saying I know all things as that is impossible to exhaust all the teachings of Christ, but what I have learned so far comes from the Holy Spirit teaching me or truly working through others to help teach me that have more Spiritual knowledge then I do.

I'm 68 years old and will never learn it all, but to start with the basics like that of the book of John to learn who Christ truly is and what our relationship with Him is all about and how important that is to our very life and the eternal life afterwards. Then I jumped into the book of Acts to learn of the day of Pentecost and what the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is all about. If these were the only two books in the Bible then the simplicity of Christ would be so easy as even a child could understand the love of Christ.

davado you said you read the Bible before and was a Christian. You have to truly ask yourself why you walked away from Christ. Was it because of Christ and something you feel He did wrong against you, or was it because of how you saw Christians act towards one another and you wanted nothing to do with that. I truly believe you are not her on your own accord, but that deep down inside of your very soul God is drawing you back to Him, but you are resisting. I pray you will sit down with Jesus and have a one on one conversation with Him, but also give Him a chance to speak to you as He will if you give Him a chance.

I know you do not want anyone praying for you, but fervent prayer accomplishes much and many of us care about you.

Wonderful, loving, and true post!!!

oddly enough i know whether the devil is influencing my thoughts.
He isnt.
And those thoughts are objectively true so we can all know he isnt.
Its actually very insulting to tell someone the devil is thinking for them.
Idve thought christians more polite than that.

In his glory i thank you for your kind sentiments.
i knowingly reject jesus because i wont be bullied.
If the choice is bend the knee or go to hell, i will always choose hell.
If you want to know why i hate and reject jesus just look at that choice he gives us all
Its cruel and wrong in my opinion.
It isnt an emotional reaction to trauma or some such.
Its principle
This is very, very sad! You will choose hell??? You want eternal separation form a loving God and want to spend eternity suffering??? Clearly, Satan is influencing your thoughts! That has nothing to do with being polite or not; it is simply the truth.

The choice Jesus gives us is this: since we are all sinners, a sacrifice is required by God to atone for our sins. Jesus made that required sacrifice so that we would be acceptable to God and live in His presence forever. Why is that cruel and wrong?

Until Christians are with God, none of us are perfect. We lack perfect understanding and often do not love others as we should. However, God's love is perfect! And it is found only in Christ!

I was only suggesting it might be Satan planting those thoughts in your head as there is no way I could be sure of that.

Yes he gives us two choices as in eternal life with Him in glory, or damnation being cast into the lake of fire as it is only by the choice that one makes as in eternal happiness or eternal misery. There is nothing cruel about it as it's our own choice. It's like a kid that will choose candy over that of a plate of liver. There is no bullying as God is not going to force His salvation through faith in Christ on anyone.

Why would one choose eternal damnation is beyond me, but only being lovers of self and enjoying the lust of the world.

It's you that made a choice to come into a Christian forum as no one forced you to come here and we will continue to witness and testify of Christ to you, not to shove it down your throat, but that we are concerned about you. Whether you stay or go the name of Jesus will be praised and His word will continue to be taught.

how many times do you have to cry ;its your own choice !' before it becomes true?
read the damn bible - our fates are determined long before we exist.
Which also means nothing you did or have done makes you a good christian desrving of heaven.
It was written before you were a twinkle in your father's eye.
All the kumbayas in the world dont make a speck of difference.

im tired of explaining what the bible says to biblethumping chistians who say just do this or that or if only you would...
READ THE BIBLE-nothing we do matters
"im tired of explaining what the bible says to biblethumping chistians" is nonsense (and poor English). And it's not a "damn bible"! And clearly you have no understanding of what it means.

Why are you here, and why are you so hostile? Do you really think that any Christian will be influenced by your anti-God, anti-Christ, and anti-Bible rhetoric? And it's not "kumbaya" (or what you think it means -- it actually means "come by here").

"Nothing we do matters" is one of the saddest statements I have read in a long time. Everything we do matters.

Numbers 6:24-26, "The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace." Clearly you need Him, His grace, and His peace.

I don't believe that for a second.
We all have choices to make.
You infer that someone or something has made them for us already.
Why would "they" do such a thing?
Which also means nothing you did or have done makes you a good christian desrving of heaven.

Nobody is "deserving of heaven".
It will be a gift for those who loved God with all their strength and loved their neighbors as they loved themselves.
Thankfully, God made it possible to do that without fault.

READ THE BIBLE-nothing we do matters
It is written..."For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad." (2 Cor 5:10)
If you were correct, there would be no need for any kind of judgement.

by the way i wrote an interesting post about hitler (after alot of research) that christians should be interesed in but noone replied.
Hitler is currently a saint in heaven and the jews he 'persecuted' in hell. Whose side are you on?
Why bother with this kind of a reprobate?

Certainly not yours (or Hitler's or Satan's). No Christian is interested in your satanic propaganda.

You will not find the words "Baptismal regeneration" in the New Testament.
Titus 3:5
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Regeneration means a new creation in Christ 2 cor 5:17

Baptism is the means of sanctifying grace that gives regeneration
Thanks

“Faith alone” is only found once in scripture James 2:24
Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

where does scripture says we have died with Christ by “faith alone”?

Rom 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

where does scripture say we are members of Christ and his church by “faith alone”?

1 Corinthians 12:13
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

where does scripture says we put on Christ by “faith alone”?

Galatians 3:27
For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Where does scripture say our sins are washed away by “faith alone”?

Acts 22:16
And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

where does scripture say we are saved or justified by “faith alone”?

1 pet 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us!

The only reference in scripture to “faith alone” is James 2:24 NOT BY “FAITH ALONE”?

2 pet 1: 11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

How can you enter by your own if it must be ministered to you? Baptism is done unto you, “not do it yourself by faith alone”

Jn 3:5 born again by faith alone?

Where is “Accept Christ as your personal lord & savior” is found in scripture?

They did not go preaching this line but went immediately to the river and baptized Jn 3:22

Acts 22:16
And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

1 Corinthians 12:13

Galatians 3:27

Eph 4:5 one baptism

Why don’t it say one teeny tiny little act of “faith alone”???

When we first believed we are saved?

Romans 13:11
And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

How can salvation be nearer than when we first believed if you’re saved by believing?

1 pet 1:9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

Matt 24:13 endures to the end Shall be saved.

How can salvation happen when we first believed if it’s the end?

If salvation is by “faith alone” then faith would be the greatest!
1 cor 13:13 charity is the greatest!

Even all faith much less “faith alone” without charity avails nothing!

Regeneration refers to the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer, after he is saved. The Holy Spirit is not the savior. Jesus Christ is the savior, not the Holy Spirit. It is heresy to attribute to the Spirit that which was accomplished by the Son. We become new creations by faith in Christ and his Gospel, Ephesians 1:13.

Salvation is by faith alone, because it is by Christ alone. Man is a sinner, born after Adam, Romans 5:12. God does not accept the works or the obedience of sinners, this is why salvation is totally and completely outside of ourselves and is only found in the work and the person of Jesus Christ.

Christian are sinners because they are still here on the earth in their unredeemed Adamic bodies, Romans 8:23.

Paul said, "There is none righteous, no, not one" Romans 3:10. You do not have a righteousness that God will accept. This is why you need a savior.

To believe is to obey to do the will of God. Obedience of faith rom 1:5 rom 16:26

Belief requires obedience, grace requires works.

Unbelief is disobedience.

Jn 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Faith without works is dead, faith requires works of obedience.

It is very apparent that you are trying to save yourself by what you do or by what you have become.

Sinners cannot save sinners, nor can sinners save themselves, Romans 3:23.

Baptism does not unite you to Christ. That is something that you do. We are united to Christ by faith in Christ and his Gospel, Ephesians 2:8.

Telling a member "That is a condemned error" violation of the ToS 1.1 and 1.3
Baptism is something that people do after they are saved. All that it is, is a public profession of faith.

Mk 16:16 acts 8:36-38 1 pet 3:21
Nicene creed we confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins not a public profession
All the church fathers say the same
The initiation into the covenant ark of salvation
Thanks

If we were saved by baptism, then Jesus lived and died in vain.

The apostle Paul did not promote water Baptism. He was not sure who he had baptized, 1 Corinthians 1:16. And then he said, "For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the Gospel: not with words of wisdom, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect" 1 Corinthians 1:17.

So we are not really “born again”?
Not really a new creation (regeneration) in Christ?
Not really just?
Grace does not actually make us holy, and members of Jesus Christ the mediator of the new covenant?
Thanks
