The Victorious Christ

Yes faith and confession of faith are required but the grace is what makes us Christian new creation in Christ thru baptism
Have you put on Christ?
We become "New Creations" in Jesus Christ by being "In Christ". "If any man be "In Christ" he is a new creation" 2 Corinthians 5:17. All that have come to Christ as repentant sinners to be saved by him are "In Christ". Baptism has nothing to do with that.

Salvation is by faith alone because it is by Christ alone. We had nothing, absolutely nothing to do with our salvation. It took place over 2,000 years ago before we were born. We have been reconciled unto God by the doing and the dying of Jesus, 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 Sinners cannot save sinners, nor can sinners save themselves.
Then all men are saved?

Jn 20:23
Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

Apostles have authority to forgive sins.

James 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
Thanks

Explain please Mk 16:16?

Jesus is the savior of the whole world, John 3:17. This means that salvation has been provided for everyone, so that "Whosoever that shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved" Romans 10:13.

John 20:23, Is the same as saying "Whosoever that you preach the Gospel to if they believe their sins will be remitted". The Bible does not teach that sins are retained or remitted by the apostles. John 20:23 is troublesome scripture, because it is not compatible with the rest of the New Testament.

Mark 16:16 does not say if the baptism is spiritual or water. I suspect that it is spiritual. All that hear and believe the Gospel are spiritually baptized into Christ, Romans 6:3.

Do we become members of Christ and his church by saying so, or by baptism? Mk 16:16 Jn 3:5 & 3:22
Acts 2:38-39 & 8:36-38

Are our sins washed away cos we say so or by baptism? Actsv22:16
Are we sealed in the ark of salvation by saying so or by baptism? Eph 1:3

There are two baptisms. The Bible does not clearly describe them. There is the spiritual baptism in which the believer is baptized into Christ, Romans 6:3. This happens after the believer accepts Christ as his savior, and then there is water baptism in which the believer is emerged in water and is a public profession of one's faith. Going down into the water represents Christ death. Coming up out of the water represents his resurrection.

Neither one of these baptisms save us. We are saved by the doing and the dying of Jesus, plus nothing else.

Does acts 8:36-38 sound spiritual?

Can Christ forgive sins?
So can the apostles Jn 20:23

Jesus Christ continues HIS ministry in His new covenant church thru Peter, the apostles, and their successors with the same mission, power, and authority!
Mt 16:18 Mt 28:19 Matt 18:17 acts 1:8 Acts 1:17 acts 8:31 & 35 acts 9:4 Lk 10:16 Jn 8:32 Jn 13:20 Jn 15:5 Jn 16:13 Jn 20:21-22 eph 2:20 acts 2:42 1 Tim 3:15

Peter, the apostles and their successors have the same authority, power, and mission as Christ! Jn 20:21 as my father sent me, even so send I you!

Jesus Christ extends his mission, power, and authority to His church of His apostles! The apostles have the same mission, ministry, power, and authority as Christ! Jn 20:21 as the father sent me, so I send you!

There is a big flaw in what you believe.

The reason that Jesus gave the apostles power to perform miracles and do miraculous things was to confirm that their message was of God.

The apostles would do miracles and then when a crowd gathered, they would preach Christ to them.

It was not a circus show. The apostles did not have the power to forgive sins because they, like Paul were sinners saved by grace. Ephesians 2:8.

Accept Christ as your personal lord and savior is fundamentalist tradition and is not found anywhere in scripture! Thanks

Did Paul and the apostles have the ministry of reconciliation?
Why don’t you believe Jesus and scripture in Jn 20:21-23
Thanks

Jesus imparted the Holy Spirit to them by breathing on them because they had faith in him. In the Old Testament God's people received the Holy Spirit by faith in God's promise of a savior, Romans 4:3.

Under the New Covenant God's people receive the Holy Spirit by faith in Christ and his Gospel. "So, then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God (which is the Gospel) Romans 10:17. On the day of Pentecost 8,000 Jews heard Peter's Gospel and were born again, 1 Peter 1:23, Acts 2:41 also Acts 4:4.

Oh I agree.
But how do we accept Christ, how do we put on Christ? Thanks
By faith in Christ and his Gospel.

In the Gospel Jesus fulfills all of the demands of God's law for us.

In the Gospel Jesus atones for our sins and the sins of the whole world.

In the Gospel we are complete in him.
