Can rivers flow northward?

The Nile.

This, of course, reminds me of a moment I had with my wife who thought all rivers flowed south, until I pointed out that they actually flow down hill. Good times.
(Ar, matey! Leave it to Mr. Knoticals to set us straight. Arrr.)

Yeah, but the St. John's river does flow downhill...on my globe.

Isn't there a river in the Bible that flows eastward out of the eastern gate?

uhm how is that possible? look up the elevations in indian river county and compare the highest point of 23ft which is near the lagoon and 20 miles from that lake to where the river exits in duval county. you will find that duval is higher in elevation then indian river. I should know I live in indian river county and go to that area of the state near duval and we cross the st.johns river to get to where the guard trains and all that is higher then where im from!

Ooh, good one!

23 ft., lol. I remember living in Florida.

Whenever my aunt got into the water, Florida lost 150 miles of coast line.

This world is getting old. There's dust on my keyboard and cobwebs in my hair.

ouch. that is my county. the highest point in Florida is actually 400 ft and that is near Tallahasee

Cobwebs in my hair, kinda like i do nothing for society inside a dead end job.

Wow a globe so real the rivers flow?

Yep! Rivers all bubbly with the real thing.

Hold your cup up to the screen, click the button, enjoy!

Brings a scripture to mind:

"22 Then the angel showed me the river of...life...flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb..." (Revelation 22:1 NIV)

...and cobwebs in my hair.

Hair? I kinda remember those days.

Can anyone one explain why at 28, my hair is so thin you can see my scalp through it and my beard turns up about 6 new gray hairs per day...when my dad is 50 years old, has had the same amount of hair on his head and gray in his beard for a decade?

.....I think it's my wife's fault.

Speaking of hair, my dad and I have identical back hair. No I'm not kidding. It grows in the exact same pattern! Is that weird?

Anyways.....

Nice thread! I don't know what this is about.
Possibly that Florida and hair less are synonymous associated with its slight elevation?

Hi Megansoon and welcome to CF.net in Jesus' name. :wave

I live in Florida at about 150 ft., I have a full head of hair at 62 with a family with a history of going bald.
I don't know what it all means.
